Abathur

Abathur is a unique Hero that can manipulate the battle from anywhere on the map. In doing so, he can help his team secure big advantages and shape the flow of battle.

This is a rework concept of Abathur.

Combat Trait

1
Locust Strain
Spawns a Locust to attack down the nearest lane every 15 seconds. Locusts last for 16 seconds, have 300 health and deal 40 damage with each Basic Attack.

Primary Abilities

1
Symbiote
Cooldown: 5 seconds
Spawn and attach a Symbiote to a target ally or Structure. While active, Abathur controls the Symbiote, gaining access to new Abilities. The Symbiote is able to gain XP from nearby enemy deaths.

Stab
Cooldown: 3 seconds
Shoots a spike towards target area that deals 115 damage to the first enemy it contacts.

Toxic Nest
Cooldown: 10 seconds
Spawn a mine that becomes active after a short time. Deals 150 damage and reveals the enemy for 3 seconds. Lasts 90 seconds.

Spike Burst
Cooldown: 6 seconds
Deals 120 damage to nearby enemies.

Carapace
Cooldown: 5 seconds
Shields the assisted ally for 225, after the effect expires, heal the ally for 95 health. Lasts for 3 seconds.

Heroic Abilities

Ultimate Evolution
Cooldown: 70 seconds
Clone target allied Hero and control it for 20 seconds. Abathur has perfected the clone, granting it 20% Ability Power, 20% bonus Attack Damage, and 10% bonus Movement Speed. Cannot use their Heroic Ability.

Evolved Monstrosity
Cooldown: 100 seconds
Turn an allied Minion or Locust into a Monstrosity. When enemy Minions near the Monstrosity die, it gains 2% Health and 2% Basic Attack damage, stacking up to 40 times. The Monstrosity can be healed by Carapace and has the ability to Burrow to a visible location every 90 seconds.
Using Symbiote on the Monstrosity allows Abathur to control it, in addition to Symbiote's normal benefits. This Ability can be reactivated to automatically cast Symbiote on his Monstrosity.

Tier 1

Survival Instincts
Increases Locust's Health by 100% and damage by 60%.

Regenerative Microbes
The healing effect of Symbiote's Carapace is increased by 50% if an enemy Hero is hit by Stab.

Envenomed Nest
Toxic Nests deal 75% more damage over 3 seconds.

Barbed Spines
Hitting enemy Heroes with Symbiote's Stab, increases Symbiote's Spike Burst damage by 15%, stacks.

Pressurized Glands
Increases the range of Symbiote's Spike Burst by 25% and decreases the cooldown by 1 second.

Tier 2

Adrenal Overload
Symbiote Host gains 10% Attack Speed, hitting enemy Heroes with Stab or Spike Burst increases the bonus Attack Speed by 5%, up to 20% for 4 seconds.

Needlespine
Increases the damage and range of Symbiote's Stab by 20%.

Reinforced Carapace
Enemy Heroes hit by Spike Burst increases the next Carapace's Shielding by 15%, stacks.

Regrowing Nest
? Quest: Reveal enemy Heroes for 200 seconds.
? Reward: Toxic Nest will regrow in 4 seconds after detonation.

Locust Nest
Cooldown: 90 seconds
Active: Activate to create a nest that periodically spawns Locusts. Only one Locust Nest can be active at a time.

Tier 3

Combat Adaptations
Active: Activate to immediately spawn a Locust, usable during Symbiote. Kill 5 Minions near Symbiote to reset the cooldown.

Prolific Dispersal
Reduce the cooldown of Toxic Nest by 2 seconds and adds 2 more charges.

Ballistospores
Toxic Nest is now global and increases its vision radius by 15%.

Networked Carapace
Carapace also links up to 2 Allies, granting them Carapace.

Drone Infestation
Cooldown: 75 seconds
Active: Activate on an area to call down 3 Drones that grants 62 Shield per second to Structures, up to 460, lasts indefinitely. The Drone lasts for 15 seconds.

Tier 5

Spatial Efficiency
Stab gains an additional charge and Spike Burst reduces its cooldown by 0.5 second per enemy Hero hit.

Soma Transference
While Symbiote's Carapace is active, Spike Burst heals the host for 50% of the damage dealt.

Adapting Strain
Locust's Basic Attacks become a long-range siege attack and their duration is increased by 30%.
Locust's Basic Attacks also splashes for 50% of the damage dealt, explodes upon death.

Re-activate Locust Strain to switch between the two.

Vile Nest
Toxic Nests slow enemy Movement Speed and Damage by 25% for 2 seconds.

Tier 6

Envenomed Spikes
Symbiote's Spike Burst also slows enemy Movement Speed by 40% for 2 seconds.

Adrenaline Boost
Symbiote's Carapace grants 20% Movement Speed after it ends for 2.25 seconds, this duration is reset whenever Abathur deals damage to enemy Heroes.

Symbiotic Healing
Symbiote's Host amplifies healing by 10%, while Carapace is active increase the healing amplification to 20%.

Locust Brood
Cooldown: 50 seconds
Active: Activate to spawn 3 Locusts at a nearby location.

Volatile Nest
Increase the explosion radius of Toxic Nest by 20% and it detonates nearby mines.

Tier 7

Evolutionary Link
Increase the duration of Ultimate Evolution by 50%. As long as the Ultimate Evolution is alive, the original target of the clone gains a Shield equal to 25% of their maximum Health. Refreshes every 5 seconds.

Evolution Complete
Monstrosity can now be ordered to follow an ally and increase its Basic Attack Damage by 40%.

Hivemind
Symbiote creates an additional Symbiote on a nearby allied Hero. This Symbiote mimics the commands of the first, but does half damage and shielding.

Adapting Link
Symbiote Host gains 5 Armor, this Armor is increased to 20 if Spike Burst hits 2 enemy Heroes for 3 seconds.
