Ranged Support



Strengths:
  • Sustained damage reduction;
  • Sustained healing;
  • Pull allies, increase team damage;
  • Utility talents (different cleanse options, reveal, silence, etc.)
  • Strong level 4 talent tier grants either "global presence" or blind.

Weaknesses:
  • Not good versus burst damage;
  • No crowd control nor enemy displacement;
  • Very low damage (unless you pick Shadowform, but then you have to switch between damage and support);
  • No mobility;
  • Most effective when team is clumped up together (weak against heavy AoE enemy comps).

The UI for Anduin should indicate which Hero is currently affected by Power Word: Shield, since this affect some of his abilities and so many of his talents. In the same space where most Hero have their hero-specific UI elements (like Valla's hatred, or Diablo's souls, etc).

Target allied Hero gain 10 Armor. Lasts forever, or until this trait is used on another Hero. Cannot cast on self.

Primary Abilities

[Q] Holy Nova
Cooldown: ~6 seconds
Sustained AoE healing and damage

After 1.5 second, create a holy nova in the targeted area and another one centered on the target of Power Word: Shield. Holy novas are explosions that damage enemies and heal allies.

(The explosion delay allows you to cast Holy Nova and then pull an ally - with Leap of Faith - in order to heal that ally)

Pulls target allied Hero close to Anduin.

Charge Cooldown: ~10 seconds

Anduin and all nearby allies (very close range) gain 15 Armor and 15% bonus damage for 2 seconds. Has 2 charges.

Cooldown: ~6 seconds
AoE damage

After a short delay (similar to Flamestrike). deal X damage evenly split between all enemy Heroes in target area.

Voidform (level 20 Shadowform upgrade): Increase area and casting range.

[W] Shadow Word: Pain
Only available in Shadowform
Cooldown: ~4 seconds
Point and click DoT

Target enemy Hero takes X damage over 6 seconds.

Voidform (level 20 Shadowform upgrade): Change name to Shadow Word: Death, and deal extra damage equal to 1% of target maximum Health per second.

[E] Mind Flay
Only available in Shadowform
Cooldown: ~9 seconds
Channeled DoT and slow

Target an enemy Hero. Channels for up to 3 seconds, dealing X damage per second. Target is slowed by 15% for each second channeled, up to 45% slow, and the slow remains for 2 seconds after the channeling end. Channeling ends if target gets too far away from Anduin.

Voidform (level 20 Shadowform upgrade): Can move while channeling.

[D] Shadowfiend
Only available in Shadowform
Cooldown: ~12 seconds
Point and click summon

Summon a Shadowfiend that follows targeted enemy Hero and damages it at melee range. Shadowfiend is immune to basic attacks but can be killed by ability damage. Lasts ~12 seconds.

Voidform (level 20 Shadowform upgrade): Gain a second charge.

Heroic Abilities

[R1] Power Word: Barrier
Creates a protective barrier in targeted area. All allies inside the zone gain 25 Armor against enemies outside of it. Lasts 10 seconds.

[R2] Shadowform
Anduin assumes Shadowform, changing his basic abilities and trait. Lasts forever, until canceled (R2 key), or until Anduin dies. Cooldown only starts counting after Anduin reverts to normal.

(Shadowform makes you lose all your Support capabilities and turns you into a sustained, damage over time, damage dealer. The idea is trying to deal as much damage as possible before you have to return to normal form to be a support. Shadowform abilities should have a higher damage scaling (maybe 4.5% or 5% per level) since they aren't affected by talents)

(Any ability used before assuming Shadowform still persists for the duration - Holy Novas will still explode, Inner Fire grants the bonus for the duration, and more importantly, Power Word: Shield is still applied, although you cannot change target or cast again)

LEVEL 1 TALENTS

Discipline [D]

Reduce Power Word: Shield cooldown to 6 seconds. When using Power Word: Shield on an ally that is not already affected by the ability, increase the Armor granted by 5 for 2 seconds.

Inner Will [E]

When Anduin uses Inner Fire, the Mana cost of the next ability he uses is reduced by 5 for each allied Hero (including himself) affected.

LEVEL 4 TALENTS

Power Word: Solace [Q]

The Holy Nova explosion centered on the target of Power Word: Shield deals 100% increased damage and blind enemies hit for 1.5 second.

Wings of Faith [W]

Leap of Faith has global range if used on the target of Power Word: Shield. !Quest: Use Leap of Faith on an ally with 15% or less maximum Health. !Reward: After saving allies 10 times, increase Leap of Faith

LEVEL 7 TALENTS

Atonement [Q]

If neither Holy Nova explosions damages an enemy, increase the healing amount by 50%.

Power Word: Fortitude [E]

If Inner Fire affects the target of Power Word: Shield, that Hero gain a healing over time effect for the duration.

Lesser Heal

When Anduin makes a basic attack, he heals the allied Hero with lowest Health (close to him or to the target) for 20% of the damage dealt.

LEVEL 13 TALENTS

Plea [W]

Leap of Faith also grants the target a 25% movement speed bonus for 4 seconds.

Celerity [E]

When Anduin uses Inner Fire, all Heroes affected by it, and the target of Power Word: Shield, gain a 15% bonus to movement speed for the duration.

Angelic Feather (Active)

Activate to place a feather on the ground after 0.5 second, lasting 8 seconds. Next allied Hero that moves into the feather (not including you) consume the feather and gain 75% movement speed bonus for 3 seconds.

LEVEL 16 TALENTS

Unyielding Faith [D]

Target of Power Word: Shield becomes immune to slow and displacement effects (knockbacks, push, etc).

Cleansing Faith [W]

Leap of Faith also makes target Unstoppable and grant it 25 Armor for 1 second, but increase this ability's cooldown by 3 seconds.

Dispel Magic (Active)

All allies (not including you) in target Area (small radius) become Unstoppable for 1 second.

Shadow Mend (Active)

Instantly heal target Hero (allied or enemy) for X (burst healing), but then target takes X damage over 15 seconds.

LEVEL 20 TALENTS

Rapture [D]

Two allies can benefit from Power Word: Shield at the same time (when using the trait on a third Hero, the first Hero benefiting from it loses the shield).

Absolution [R1]

Increase Power Word: Barrier radius by 20%. Allies inside the zone gain the Armor no matter where enemies are.

Voidform [R2]

Shadowform cooldown begins counting the moment Anduin assumes Shadowform (instead of when he leaves it). Improve Shadowform abilities.

Silence (Active)

After a short delay, silence enemies in target area for 2 seconds.
