Arcturus Mengsk

Terran Emperor

Mengsk is the emperor of the Dominion Terran. In the Nexus, he uses his cunning and his Terran army to overwhelm the battlefield. 

* Text with this color is my own added thoughts.

Combat Trait

Emperor's Reach
Mengsk influence reaches from beyond the Nexus. He can't be targeted or killed and his abilites has global range.

* It sound a bit misleading, but the idea is that Mengsk isn't a physical Hero that walks around and attacks. Instead, Mengsk can only act though his abilites and look around the map. (And of course use the chat and all of that.)

Primary Abilities

[Q] Drop Pod
Cooldown: 8 seconds.

Bombard target area with a Dominion Drop pod for 175 (+ 3% per level) damage.

The pod spawns 3 Dominion Marines that deals 35 (+ 3% per level) damage per second and will attack down the nearest lane. Minions from the Drop Pod gains experience in the same way as Heroes. Lasts for 20 seconds.


* A mix of Zagaras Infested Drop ability and Abathurs Locus Strain Trait. Can be used to soak multiple lanes or focus on one. Health not yet decided.

[W] Bunker
Cooldown: 10 seconds.

After a 1 seond delay, place a Bunker in the target area that deals 65 (+ 3% per level) damage per second. Reactivate the ability to retarget the Bunker. Lasts for 10 seconds.

If Drop Pod is used near the Bunker, the spawned minions will enter the Bunker increasing its damage by 50% and its duration by 1 second for each unit. 8 minions can fit in the Bunker. When the Bunker is destroyed, all minions will re-emerge.


* Works in a similar way to Jainas Water Elemental, except it can't move. The bunker can be used to block small path ways and it's about as big as a Warrior Hero. Health is not yet decided nor if the minions lose their duration while inside the Bunker.

[E] Cover up
Cooldown: 25 seconds.

Remove all vision from enemy minions and structures in a large area for 10 seconds.

* Can be used to hide a push or to create an ambush. It's a very powerful tool in the right hands.

Heroic Abilities

[R] Keystone
Cooldown: 80 seconds.

Drop the Keystone at target location.

After 5 seconds, you can activate it to deal 170 (+ 3% per level) and stun all nearby enemies for 2 seconds. An ally can activate the Keystone without waiting. Last for 15 seconds or until it's activated.


* The keystone can be activated by any member of your team by right clicking on it. It will most likely need 1 second channel time to be balanced. Can't be destroyed or attacked.

[R] Hostile take over
Cooldown 70 seconds.

Call down the Leviathan Battlecruser to drop Siege Tanks every second at the target location for 6 seconds. Each Siege Tanks deals 65 (+ 3% per level) damage per second and will attack down the nearest lane. Siege Tanks gains experience in the same way as Heroes and lasts for 20 seconds.

* Siege Tanks has more damage and health than Reynors Banhees, but they gain less power per level. Siege Tanks can't be controlled.

Talents (NOT COMPLETE)
There is no neutral talents for two reasons. First, I'm not sure how talents like Block and Regeneration Master would work (Buff the marines?). Second, I wanted to see what kind of talents got the best feedback so that I knew what to aim for.

Tier 1 (Level 1)

Q Scout Party: Drop Pod spawns a Scout Drone at the location that grants vision around it for 10 seconds. This drone can't be hidden and is killed by enemies with 2 basic attacks.

Hey, I'm not the only person who wants a hero like this!

It's a great concept(Then again, that's just my opinion. So yeah.). Some numbers may need to be fiddled with, although, I wouldn't be the one to know what would be better. All in all, well done. -Insert dinging noise here-
