Asheara is a Health stacking Bruiser with a weak early game. She could be used as a solo laner thanks to her sustain, clear wave and somewhat of an escape with
Wolf's Bite and the opportunity of stacking
Packleader on structures without much nuisance. Later on she'd continue to grow while engaging in Map Objectives. Although not a great initiator she can try to cover that gap by isolating targets with
Bastion of Caldeum or if someone can fill that position she can be really annoying towards Basic Attack centered heroes thanks to
Sandstorm's physical damage debuff.
She'd shine the most on maps whose objectives can be struck by
Iron Charge, ensuring a quicker health stack:
Punishers and Guardians on Infernal Shrines
Immortal on Battlefield of Eternity
Spider minions and the Webweavers on Tomb of the Spider Queen
Temple Guardians on Sky Temple
Shamblers and the Garden Terror on Garden of Terror
Skeletons on Blackheart's Bay
The Dragon Knight on Dragon Shire
Zergs on Braxis Holdout
Pros:
- Infinite health stacking
- Great at absorbing skillshots
- Great at doing camps and map objectives.
- Build variety:
Summoner,
Spell Damage,
Focusing on
Wolf's Bite with Summons
Focusing on
Wolf's Bite without Summons
Cons:
- Health % skills hit like a truck
- Poor early game
- Lacks a bit of initiation power.
- Although great at solo laning, not that powerful on 1v1 situations
Considering the fact that she appeared both on Diablo II and III, she wouldn't be just a "named NPC nobody compared to the Diablo heroes we already got". Yet, she's a major supporting NPC in Act 2 of Diablo III. After defeating Belial, Tyrael mentions that the city [Caldeum] is at her hands now.
