Queen of the Highborne

Hero Description :
Daughter of the Moon. Empress of the Kaldorei. Light of lights. Before inviting the Burning Legion to Azeroth, Queen Azshara was loved by all her people. Today, the night elves curse her name and legacy, as she and her followers were transformed in the monstruous naga. But Azshara is ready to take her revenge, and all the people of the Nexus shall adore her as she deserves.

Hero Concept :
Azshara is a mage Assassin hero that requires both precision aiming and tactical thinking to perform. While her abilities are not strong on their own, they can become a lot more when paired up intelligently, in ways that are adapted to their target. And with great aim and a little finesse, she can still rack up damage pretty fast

Azshara's Combat Trait, Highborne Magic, is an incentive for Azshara to stay in poke exchanges before the big fights erupt, and her way of aquiring damage able to rival the other mages'. As long as she keeps hitting with her spells, she increases her damage, but also her mana costs, which can become prohibitive if she misses. By using the active part of Her combat trait, she can make her next spell extra dangerous, so she needs to make sure it hits to capitalize on that bonus.

As a hidden passive ability, Spell Cunning allows Azshara to apply semi-hard crowd control to her enemy (root, silence or blind) she can tailor for each target. Only one of those is applicable every five seconds, so Azshara has to make choices.

Rolling Wave is a low-damage ability that tries to enforce enemy movement away from Azshara, without applying any hard or semi-hard crowd control. With careful placement, she can create situations in which the best choice for her enemies would be to follow in the wave, which is still a bad trade for them. As her primary source of damage, Azshara's Arcane Lightning is a spammable ability with little to no utility, apart from the debuff it applies thanks to Spell Cunning. Frost Shock is a zoning ability that promises high instant damage to those foll enough to dare cross it, though again, it has no direct utility characteristics.

Typhoon is a wonderful tool akin to Rolling Wave, as it enforces enemy placement at Azshara's whim. While not that performing in the damage department, it's strong utility can be used by Azshara or her allies to land sick combos. Summon Ozumat, on the other hand, is made to work as a area denial effect, as the giant monster can take possession of a great chunk of the map, making nearby teamfights quite risky for the enemy team. (although, as a trade-off, it can be killed)

Combat Trait

Highborne Magic
Cooldown : 10 seconds

Hitting enemy Heroes with her Basic Abilities grants Azshara stacks of Highborne Magic, which gives her 5% increased Basic Ability Damage and 7% increased Mana Cost of all Basic Abilities (10 stacks maximum).

Highborne Magic is cleared if Azshara doesn't deal Basic Ability Damage to an enemy Hero for 15 seconds.

Activate to clear all stacks of Highborne Magic, which makes Azshara's next Basic Ability deal 10% additional damage per stack and be cast for free. That spell does not grant a stack of Highborn Magic, even if it hits an enemy Hero. Cannot be activated with no stacks of Highborne Magic.

Spell Cunning
Whenever two of the Damp, Static and Numb debuffs are present on the same enemy, they are cleared and the enemy gets the corresponding effect :

Damp + Static : Silenced for 1 second.
Damp + Numb : Rooted for 1 second.
Static + Numb : Blinded for 1 second.

The same enemy cannot be affected again by any of these effects for 5 seconds. (Two debuffs still clear when stacked)

Summon a wave in front of Azshara that travels away from her. Ennemies in the wave take 12 damage (+4% per level) each second and leaving them Damp dor 6 seconds. Ennemies caught in the wave slide in the same direction as the wave, which renders opposite movement slower. (This does NOT render movement in the same direction faster)

Effects that clear or reduce slowing effects protect from the wave's pull for 2 seconds.

Cooldown : 45 seconds

Drink a vial from the Well of Eternity, clearing all stacks of Highborne Magic. Your next Basic Ability deals 100% additional damage and is cast for free.

Mage's Armor
Cooldown : 1 second

You are protected by a barrier that detonates and knocks back the first enemy Hero that gets too close to you. After detnonating, the armor cannot trigger for 60 seconds. Activate to toggle on and off.

Conjure a water vortex at the targeted location that lasts 6 seconds and can be slowly moved by using the Ability key again. Enemies nearby slide towards the iris of the typhoon, which deals 39 (+4% per level) damage per second to any enemy caught in it. Enemies in the Iris are more forcefully kept within. All enemies affected by Typhoon are Damp for 6 seconds.

Effects that clear or reduce slowing effects protect from the typhoon's pull for 2 seconds.

Ozumat arrives at the selected location after 1,5 second, knocking back enemies. Ozumat stays in the area for 15 seconds, and his ten tentacles start attacking nearby enemies (prioritizing Heroes) for 16 (+4% per level) damage per second each. Every tentacle hit reduces enemy Movement Speed by 10% for 2 seconds, cumulative up to 40%. All enemies inside Ozumat's pool are Damp for 6 seconds.

Ozumat has 1180 Health (+6% per level) and killing him ends the spell.

Level 1 Talents

- Highborne Power : Quest : Activate Highborne Magic at maximum stacks.
Reward : Increase the number of maximum stacks by 1 (up to 10 times)

- Highborne Mastery : Quest : Activate Highborne Magic at maximum stacks.
Reward : Reduce the mana cost increase from Highborne Magic stacks by 0,7% (up to 10 times)

- Highborne Conjuration : Quest : Activate Highborne Magic at maximum stacks.
Reward : After activating Highborne Magic at maximum stacks 10 times, activating Highborne Magic grants a shield for 5% of your maximum Health per stack of Highborne Magic consumed, for 5 seconds.

Level 4 Talents

- Mana reserves : Activating Highborne Magic restores 1% of your maximum mana per stack cleared.

- Persistance : Damp, Static and Numb debuffs last 3 seconds longer, and ennemies that get affected by two of those have their Magic Armor reduced by 10 for 5 seconds, which increases damage they take from Abilities by 10%.

- Distant strikes : Arcane Lightning's range is increased by 40% but its cooldown is increased by 1 second.

Level 7 Talents

- Well of Eternity vial : Increase your maximum mana by 98 (+2 per level). Activate to drink a vial from the Well of Eternity, clearing all stacks of Highborne Magic. Your next Basic Ability deals 100% additional damage and is cast for free.

- Crashing wave : Rolling wave crashes at the end of its course, dealing 171 (+4% per level) damage to ennemies caught in it when it crashes.

- Ebb and Flow : Rolling wave can be activated again to reverse its movement, ending at its point of origin.

Level 10 Talents

- Typhoon : Conjure a water vortex at the targeted location that lasts 6 seconds and can be slowly moved by using the Ability key again. Enemies nearby slide towards the iris of the typhoon, which deals 39 (+4% per level) damage per second to any enemy caught in it. Enemies in the Iris are more forcefully kept within. - Forceful lightning : Arcane Lightning damage and radius are increaed by 100%, but its cooldown increases by 2 seconds.

- Repetition : Arcane lightning now strikes three times in a short line, with each strike dealing 50% of Aracne Lightning's usual damage.

- Bright star : Another Frost shock deploys in the same area as the first as soon as it ends. (The second star is + shaped instead of X shaped relative to Azshara)

Level 16 talents

- Tsunami : Rolling wave lengh increased by 50%, and enemies caught in it cannot move against its flow. (they can still escape it from the sides or by outrunning it)

- Combo Maker : Debuffs caused by Spell Cunning last an additional second.

- N'Zoth's Benediction : While over half of your maximum Mana, you have 15% increased Spell Power.

Level 20 Talents

- Implacable : Typhoon moves 200% faster.

- I'm comfortable : Ozumat now lasts until killed or until Sumon Ozumat is recast, deals 50% more damage and regenerates 10% of his maximum Health each second after not being damaged for 10 seconds.

- Double down : Activating Highborne Magic now affects your next two Basic Abilities.

- Scepter of storms : Untalented Arcane Lightning regularly falls on random nearby enemy Heroes. Their damage is unaffected by Highborne Magic.

Delay : 0,3 second
Frequency : 1 per 2 seconds.
