Baal

Lord of Destruction

An ability damage assassin with a more reactive playstyle than traditional assassins. Ranged auto-attack with standard range.

Combat Trait

Destructive aura
After using an ability, Baal will be surrounded by an aura for 4 seconds that inflicts Vulnerable effect on nearby enemies.

Similar to ETC's Rockstar effect, except this is a debuff. Enemies that leave the aura's area will no longer be Vulnerable.

Primary Abilities

Mana Rift
60 mana.
10 second cooldown.

Shoot out a vortex of destructive energy that travels forward in a straight line. Enemy heroes hit will start loosing 2,5% resources each second for 8 seconds. Using a non-heroic ability will remove this effect, but instead apply a damage over time based on the remaining duration.

Resources means mana, fury, energy. Not Tracer's ammo. Enemies without resources will take damage if they use an ability.

Easily the most dangerous ability Baal used.

Summon Frenzied Hellspawn
50 mana.
8 second cooldown.

A frenzied minion crawls out of the ground at targeted location, and will charge towards to closest enemy, preferring heroes. The minion will explode within a small range of its target, dealing heavy area of effect damage.

The minion lasts 5 seconds and has 300 (+4%) health. It will also explode upon expiration or on death.

If you've done Baal runs, you know this.

Blood Mana
30 mana.
20 second cooldown.

Reduces your ability damage taken by 75% for the next 2 seconds. Any harmful ability effects you receive during this duration will damage the caster for heavy damage. Can only trigger twice on each enemy hero per cast.

Defensive cooldown. Can be used offensively to heavily damage their backline.

Heroic Abilities

100 mana.
120 second cooldown. Global ability.

No one can hide from destruction. Baal marks all enemy heroes for doom. After 2 seconds, a lightning bolt will strike down on all marked targets, dealing damage to the target and in an area around the target.

In Diablo 2, if you idled in Baal's area for too long, you will hear Baal's laughter and be damaged by several lightning bolts or a poison cloud. This ability will deal moderate damage and can be used to kill enemies who escaped with very little health. But its true value comes from wombo comboing, since the lightning bolt also deals area damage that overlaps.

Vile Effigy
100 mana.
90 second cooldown.

Summons a near identical copy of Baal. The copy can use all basic abilities and deals full damage, but only has 50% of your max health. Lasts 30 seconds.

Your hero is bound to 1 key and the copy is bound to 2. Can be sent to another lane. Soaks experience by last hitting.
