Belial

The Lord of Lies

A unique Mage who excels at manipulating the battlefield and confusing the enemy team.

As one of the Great Evils, Belial plagues the world of Sanctuary with his cruel deceits, turning friend against friend, lover against lover, and parent against child.
Now he plans on ensnaring the Nexus with that same twisted duplicity. Unless that's just another lie. Who knows?

Combat Trait

Lord of Lies
Belial's Mirages have 50% of his health, mimic Swarm of Flies, grant vision, and can soak experience.

Lord of Lies can be activated to have Belial instantly switch places with any targeted Mirage. Unlimited range. (50 Second Cooldown)

Primary Abilities

Swarm of Flies
Send out swarms of flies in three different lines in a cone across the ground, each line dealing 120 (+4%) damage to all enemies it passes through. Deals twice as much damage to non-Heroes. If an enemy Hero is hit by three or more lines, they take an additional 150 (+4%) damage over the next 3 seconds. (5 Second Cooldown)

Belial's Mirages mimic Swarm of Flies when cast.

Propaganda
Instantly Deceive an enemy minion, forcing it to fight for Belial's team. Deceived minions cannot be controlled, but will follow Belial (or his nearest Mirage) until death. Deceived minions attack enemies near Belial, prioritizing Heroes. Can hold up to two charges, and up to four minions can be Deceived at once. (8 Second Charge Cooldown)

Simulacrum
Instantly teleport away, leaving a temporary Mirage of Belial behind in his place. This Mirage lasts for up to 16 seconds before vanishing. (16 Second Cooldown)

Secondary Abilities

Move Mirage
Orders all active Mirages to move to a specified location.

If an enemy is targeted, the Mirages will attack that enemy.
If an ally is targeted, the Mirages will follow that ally indefinitely.

Heroic Abilities

Misdirection
For the next 3 seconds, any damage or negative effect which would affect Belial or any of his Mirages is instead redirected to a targeted enemy Hero. (30 Second Cooldown)

Conspiracy
After 1 second, transform all of Belial's Deceived minions into Mirages of Belial. These Mirages last for up to 8 seconds. (100 Second Cooldown)

Talents

LEVEL 1:

(1) Lord of Flies: Increase the width and range of each Swarm of Flies line by 20%.

(2) Little Lies:
- ! Quest: Have Deceived minions deal damage to enemy units. Damage dealt to non-Heroes gives 1 stack, damage dealt to Heroes gives 5.
- ! Reward: After reaching 100 stacks, the maximum amount of Deceived minions is raised to six.

(3) Rites of the Triune: Simulacrum gains an additional charge, but its cooldown is permanently increased by 10 seconds.

LEVEL 4:

(1) Confidence Scheme: Whenever Swarm of Flies hits an enemy Hero, reduce its current cooldown by 1 second.

(2) The Second Order: Propaganda gains an additional charge, and its cooldown is permanently reduced by 3 seconds.

(3) Veiled Deceiver: Simulacrum gives Belial stealth for 2 seconds.

LEVEL 7:

(1) Redefine the Truth: Activated Ability. Belial becomes Unstoppable and Protected for 1 second. (60 Second Cooldown)

(2) Ruler of Caldeum: Belial passively gains 5% Spell Power for each currently Deceived minion and active Mirage.

(3) Voice of Tathomet: Activated Ability. Gain control of an enemy Summon, forcing it to fight for Belial's team. (60 Second Cooldown)

LEVEL 10:

(1) Misdirection: For the next 3 seconds, any damage or negative effect which would affect Belial or any of his Mirages is instead redirected to a targeted enemy Hero. (30 Second Cooldown)

(2) Conspiracy: After 2 seconds, transform all of Belial's Deceived minions into Mirages of Belial. These Mirages last for up to 8 seconds before vanishing. (100 Second Cooldown)

LEVEL 13:

(1) Motivational Speaker: Deceived minions deal 150% damage and have twice as much health.

(2) Improvised Legion: Activated Ability. After 1 second, teleport all Deceived minions to Belial. (Cooldown: 30 Seconds) Passive: Propaganda has Unlimited Range, but Deceived minions will no longer follow Belial or his Mirages.

LEVEL 16:

(1) Visions of Hell: If three or more lines of Swarm of Flies hit an enemy Hero, that Hero is Feared for 1 second.

(2) Convince the Mindless: Belial's basic attacks slow the attack speed of Structures by 20% for 2 seconds. This does not stack.

(3) Brother of Baal: Belial and his Mirages burn nearby enemies for 40 (+4%) damage per second. When damaging structures, this damage also destroys 2 Ammo per second.

LEVEL 20:

(1) Smoke and Mirrors: Misdirection doubles redirected damage, and the duration of redirected negative effects is increased by 50%.

(2) All The Way To The Top: For 4 seconds after Conspiracy is activated, the enemy team sees all teammates as Belial.

(3) Realm of Lies: Activated Ability. Instantly gain control of all minions and non-Boss mercenaries surrounding Belial, forcing them to fight for Belial's team. These minions do not count as Deceived. (120 Second Cooldown)

(4) Flawless Falsity: All of Belial's Mirages last for twice as long.

(5) Tangled Web: Reduce the cooldown of Lord of Lies by 30 seconds.
