Belial is a specialist whose goal is to make your opponent second guess their decisions. Enemy heroes who don't pay extra attention will be punished heavily by Belial's tricks.

The Lord of Lies offers two new major mechanics. One, he is the first hero with the ability to disguise as other heroes. Second, with the correct talents, a few of his abilities can be cast while dead, though without a "ghost" body (Unlike Leoric or Uther), meaning those abilities essentially gain global range.

Combat Trait

(D) Cloak of the Deceiver
Cost: 50 Mana
Cooldown: 30 Seconds

Disguise yourself as a friendly hero for 20 seconds. If an enemy who didn't see you activate the disguise attacks you or hits you with an ability, the disguise is broken and all damage is mitigated.

Primary Abilities

(Q) Siphon Willpower
Cost: 0 Mana
Cooldown: 20 Seconds

Steal 20 Energy from an enemy hero. Doesn't break disguises or cloaks.

(W) Escape
Cost: 100 Mana
Cooldown: 20 Seconds

Teleport a short distance, then gain a Cloak. Breaks disguises.

(E, D Inactive) Swarm of Flies
Cost: 45 Mana
Cooldown: 10 Seconds

Unleash a wave of slow-moving flies. Enemies inside the wave take 50 damage per second, and are slowed by 33% for 2 seconds. Breaks disguises and cloaks.

(E, D Active) Demoralize
Cost: 45 Mana
Cooldown: 5 Seconds

Slow an enemy by 20% for 3 seconds. Enemies slowed have their Magical and Physical Armor reduced by 10, increasing damage from those sources by 10%. Doesn't break cloaks.

Heroic Abilities

Sowing the Seeds
Cost: 75 Mana
Cooldown: 12 Seconds

Force an enemy hero to use one of their basic abilities.

--- Detailed Explanation ---

When you target a hero, your hero enters stasis and your camera follows the target hero. While (R1) Sowing the Seeds is active, your basic abilities are replaced by their's until you cast one. The ability you cast acts as a friendly ability, allowing you to heal your allies or damage your enemies with them.

Mass Confusion
Cost: 90 Mana
Cooldown: 50 Seconds

After 2 seconds, deal 200 damage to all nearby enemies. Enemies damaged are slowed by 50%, blinded, and silenced for 4 seconds. Breaks cloaks and disguises.

Tier 1 Talents (Level 1)

(D) Deceiver's Claw
When your disguise is broken by an enemy, the damage that broke the disguises is reflected back to its source.

(D) Liar's Flight
When your disguise is broken by an enemy, reduce the cooldown of (W) Escape by 6 seconds.

(E, D Active) Perjury
You can cast (E) Demoralize while cloaked.

Tier 2 Talents (Level 4)

(E, D Inactive)
Enemies are Silenced by 2 seconds while inside the swarm of flies.

(W) Out of Mind
Increase the casting range of (W) Escape by 50%, but its cooldown is increased by 10 seconds.

(D) Masquerade
Disguises last indefinitely.

Tier 3 Talents (Level 7)

(D) Blind Betrayal
You can now disguise as enemy heroes. Use (D) Cloak of the Deceiver while disguised as an enemy hero to break the disguise and deal 200 damage to the closest nearby enemy hero, blinding them for 4 seconds.

(Q) Will to Live
Casting (Q) Siphon Willpower on an enemy hero below 30% health drains twice as much energy.

(E, D Active)
You can cast (E, D Active) Demoralize while dead.

Tier 5 Talents (Level 13)

(W) Ominous Presence
Casting (W) Escape causes you to cast (E, D Active) Demoralize on all nearby enemies.

(W) Unwilling Sacrifice
Casting (W) Escape causes you to cast (Q) Siphon Willpower on all nearby enemies.

(Q) Reaper of Sorrow
If casting (Q) Siphon Willpower on an enemy hero results in all that hero's remaining energy to be drained, reset (Q) Siphon Willpower's cooldown. Enemy heroes that can trigger this talent's effects are highlighted in purple.

Tier 6 Talents (Level 16)

(W) Never Truly Gone
For the first 10 seconds of being alive, the casting range of (W) Escape is increased by 250%.

(E, D Inactive) Malicious Intent
Swarm of Flies can now hold 4 Charges. Cast (E, D Active) Demoralize on 3 heroes to gain a charge of Swarm of Flies.

(E, D Active) Nightmares
You can now cast (E, D Active) Demoralize while dead.

Tier 7 Talents (Level 20)

(R1) Haunted from Beyond
You can cast (R1) Sowing the Seeds while dead. While dead, it's cooldown is reduced by 4 seconds.

(R2) Traumatic Experience
Enemies caught in the radius of (R2) Confusion are Stunned for 4 seconds.

(W) Caught in the Web
(W) Escape now holds an extra charge.
