Bloodhoof Tauren Chieftain

Background: Cairne Bloodhoof was the fearless and wizened leader of the Bloodhoof Tauren. Allying with the Horde upon its arrival on the shores of Kalimdor, Cairne stood as one of its wisest and most venerated leaders. He wielded the shaman-blessed Bloodhoof Runespear. With the might of the Earth Mother, Cairne brings down the land's wrath against those who would desecrate the land or threaten the safety of his people.

Attack Range: 2 (melee)

Design Philosophy: Cairne will be a durable support warrior, wading into the thick of battle and providing much needed crowd control to enemies while also providing pressure to the backline. If he chooses the talents for it Cairne can also deal massive area damage with his attacks and abilities and allows him respectable lane clear if the team lacks it. Cairne however struggles against enemies that can kite him and highly mobile enemies that can dodge his abilities, this however can be mitigated if he is properly supported by his teammates.

Gain 8% damage reduction for every 15% health missing for 10 seconds. Refreshes the duration with every increment in damage reduction.

A wave of force that ripples out from the Hero, causing 130 (+4%/level) damage to enemy units in a line. Travels a distance of 7.5.

Ability Key: W
Mana Cost: 65
Cooldown: 6 seconds

Slams the ground, stunning nearby enemy units for 1.25 seconds and damages them for 75 (+4%/level) damage.

Mortal Strike
Ability Key: E
Mana Cost: 50
Cooldown: 10 seconds

Throws the Runespear at a target hero dealing 178 (+4%/level) damage and reduces their regeneration and healing received by 50% for 10 seconds. Causes basic attacks to deal 30% less damage and reduces its range by 50% but gains 10% increased movement speed for the duration of the ability. Activate the ability again to causes the Rune Spear to return to your hand ending its effect on the target and restoring your basic attack.

Comes back to life after 5 seconds when killed automatically casting an untalented War Stomp for free. Restores all Health and Mana.

Upgrade: Ancestral Spirit

While waiting to be reincarnated, Cairn's Spirit Form is summoned that can move and use his basic abilities but does 50% less damage.

Cooldown: 45 seconds

Links up to 3 of the nearest allied heroes to you 10 seconds. Each linked hero redirects 50% of the damage they take towards you for the duration of the ability. While the ability is active, Endurance is always activated.

Upgrade: Blessing of the Earth Mother

Increases the movement speed and healing received by linked allies by 20% and makes them immune to being slowed.

Talents

Tier 1

Fury of the Earth Mother [Q] (Quest) - Each enemy hero hit by Shockwave increases its size by 1% and damage by 4.
Reward: After hitting 50 heroes, Shockwave deals an additional 100 damage and knocks up* enemies it damages for 0.5 seconds.

*does not stun or interrupt abilities.

Earthen Ward [W] - Using War Stomp reduces the damage of the next basic attack and ability used against you by 50%. Stores up to 2 charges.

Agonizing Barbs [E] - Pulling back the Runespear deals an additional 50 (+4%/level) damage and stuns the target for 0.75 seconds.

Tier 2

Invigoration [Trait] - Gain 50% increased healing and regeneration when Endurance is active

Cleaving Blade (Passive) - Basic Attacks deal 50% of the damage dealt in an arc in front of you.

Earth Shock [W] - Increases stun duration by 0.5 seconds.

Tier 3

Tremor [Q] - Shockwave slows enemies hit by 20% for 2 seconds and each enemy hit generates a small quake damaging nearby enemies by 30 (+4%/level) damage.

Deep Healing [W] - Restores 5% health for each enemy hit by war stomp. (benefits from invigoration)

Disenchant [E] - Mortal Strike removes all ability effects on the target. Can now also be used on Summons and deals 200% additional damage and reduces the cooldown by 50% if it is killed while under the effect of the ability.

Tier 4 (See Heroic Abilities)

Tier 5

Deep Breath [W] - adds a 0.5 second delay to War Stomp but pulls in nearby enemies when used. Pull in range has a 50% larger radius*

Clear Out [W] - War Stomp knocks back enemies in a 50% larger radius*.

*Stun and damage radius remains the same

Shadow Hunter [E] - Enemies damaged by the ability have their vision reduced for the duration of the effect.

Tier 6

Magnitude (Passive) - Increases the damage of Shockwave and War Stomp by up to 100% depending on available mana*.

*40%-50% Mana - +25% damage
*51% - 75% Mana - +50% damage
*76%-100% Mana - +100% damage

Spear Jaunt [E] - Recalling the Runespear causes it to travel toward you and deal 178 (+4%/level) damage to every enemy unit it passes through and also applies its effect to them for 3 seconds.

Unbound Spirit [Trait] - You cannot be stunned, rooted, silenced, or blinded while Endurance is active.

Numbed Nerves [Trait] - When receiving fatal damage you are restored to 1 health and become immune to further damage for 5 seconds.

Earth Warder [W] - Using Warstomp grants resistant to you and nearby allies reducing damage taken by 50% for 2 seconds.
