This hero is a multi-kit hybrid warrior and assassin hero.  Her trait allows her to swap between a spear and shield and a longbow, changing functionality of certain attacks in significant ways.  She can be built in multiple directions, including using constant kit swaps as well as sticking to a single kit for long periods at a time.

I've come across at least one other Amazon idea, but developed this prior to seeing it.  Similarities are possible.

I needed an idea to make her unique and well within her own, in other words not making just a different kind of existing assassin or warrior if she was only one or the other.  Given the apparent interest in Blizzard's development of very unique playstyles and possibilities given the likes of Cho'Gall, Kharazim, and Abathur, I've come up with what I feel is a solidly unique idea without just being gimmicky.  There should be plenty of room for hybrid and multi-kit sorts of heroes that can be effectively built multiple ways.

My design philosophy with my D2 hero concepts is to be able to bring in as much of their D2 kit as possible in as balanced a way as possible.  Talents effect precisely how you'll determine the part of the kit you would use and focus on and leaving room for multiple builds, just as with D2.

Swaps from the Longbow and the Spear & Shield.  Longbow uses ranged attacks.  The spear is melee ranged.  Four second cooldown.

Skillshot - 9 Second Cooldown

Longbow: Fires a Fire Arrow for X+Lvl% Damage and applies a damage over time for 50% damage to the target affected.

Spear & Shield: Throws a Lightning Bolt powered javelin for X+Lvl% Damage, briefly stunning the enemy struck for .5 seconds.

Targeted AOE - 13 Second Cooldown

Reveals an area and marks targets.  Enemies effected take 15% extra damage from all sources over 3 seconds.

Acrobatics
Self Buff - 15 Second Cooldown

Cleanses and provides immunity to all slows, adding 20% move speed for 3 seconds.

Greater Magic Projectile
Skillshot - 60 Second Cooldown

Longbow: Fires an Immolation Arrow, causing X+Lvl% damage and adds a damage over time for 50% damage done while leaving an area of ground smoldering, causing damage to any that remain inside.

Spear & Shield: Throws a lightning javelin that explodes with Lightning Fury, causing X+Lvl% damage and stunning the enemy hit and all around it for 1.5 seconds.

Valkyrie
Targeted Summon - 60 second cooldown

Summon a spear wielding Valkyrie that charges at enemies and attacks rapidly with Jab.  The Valkyrie can charge once every three seconds.  Can be retargeted to attack a different enemy.  Lasts 15 seconds.

Level 1 Talents

Loot Run: Fire Arrows become Explosive Arrows and explode in a radius upon impact or the end of its trajectory.  Spear & Shield  gains a charge of Block every 4 seconds with a max of 2 charges, blocks only occur and charge while the Spear & Shield is in use.

Pierce: Magic Projectile pierces, its damage reducing by 15% per enemy hit to a reduction cap of 40% max damage.

Level 4 Talents

Eagle Eye: Inner Sight increased radius and adds 1 second to duration.

Master of Arms: Buffs your next basic in 4 seconds.  Swapping to Spear & Shield makes your next melee an Impale for 75% added damage.  Swapping to Bow makes your next basic an Cold Arrow, rooting for 0.5 seconds and slowing 25% for an additional second.

Level 7 Talents

Discipline: After 4 seconds of swapping weapons you gain a stacking buff.  Hunter's Discipline gains 1% atk speed and 1.5% basic attack damage every 2 seconds until 10 stacks for a total of 10%/15%.  Shieldmaiden's Discipline gains 2.5% max health every 2 seconds until 10 stacks for a total of 25%.  Active Discipline stacks are wiped when the opposing Discipline gains a stack.

Deadly Trail: Magic Projectile leaves a damaging trail that lasts 4 seconds.  Javelins leave poison.  Arrows leave fire.  These effects are aesthetic only.

Double Vision: Hold two charges of Inner Sight

Versatility: Within 4 seconds of swapping weapons, your next Lightning Bolt javelin does 20% more damage stuns for 1 second while your Fire Arrow becomes an Ice Arrow which slows the target by 30% for 3 seconds and applies the damage over time effect up front.  Piercing Magic Projectile cuts the effect by 50% to all pierced targets.

Level 13 Talents

Dodge: Acrobatics dodges all basic attacks for duration

Enchanted Projectile: Magic Projectile increases its radius and range of 25%

Magic Weapon: Spear & Shield basic attacks are now ranged at about half the range of the Longbow.  Every third basic Bow becomes a Multishot hitting up to four nearby enemies to target.

Level 16 Talents

Avoid: Adds one second to Acrobatics duration and now breaks and provides immunity to roots

Strike True: Active skill on 40 second cooldown, empowers your next 4 basic attacks to do additional damage equal to 2% hero max health with each hit.

Weakness Revealed: Inner Sight is now 25% vulnerability and has an increased cast range of 25%

Stoneskin universal talent

Level 20 Talents

Spearmaiden of Athulua: Valkyrie gains 25% damage and health, lasts 22 seconds, and gains Fend, striking all enemies in range.

Blessing of Athulua: Increases range and radius of Greater Magic Projectile by 20%.  The inactive weapon only goes on a 30 second cooldown. (meaning, GMP with Longbow goes on 60 sec cooldown, but GMP for S&S is 30)

Weapons of the Seraphim: Adds 20% basic attack damage.  S&S also slows 20% per hit for 1 seconds.  Bow increases attack range 20%.
