It is not surprising the magical enigma of the Nexus would be drawn to one who could master it. With the prevalence of the mages in Heroes of the Storm it is high time we have a mana-draining hero! (Of course, more mana-supplying abilities would be nice too) This character is aimed to reduce the effects of ability damage and perhaps ponder the diversification of hero compositions.
I laid out a talent tree, but it is by no means perfect; it provides the overall concept I am trying to show. I tried to include some familiar talents while giving ole' Dawnglory here unique abilities. I believe there is some synergy within his talent selection/abilities, and I had to shuffle them around quite a lot. Numbers and pretty pictures are also tentative, but I will try my best to include some later.
And, no, I only gave him a surname. Not sure what else to call him.

Damage caused by hero's basic abilities drains 5% of target's maximum mana.
Primary Abilities

Reflect
Cost: 50 Mana Cooldown: 10 seconds
Raise your shield, reducing all ability damage taken by 30% for 2 seconds. All damage prevented is reflected back to the target. You are immobile while this occurs.

Glaive's Edge
Cost: 30 Mana Cooldown: 3 seconds
Cleave in a small radius in front of you, dealing light damage. Holds two charges.

Spell Steal
Cooldown: 12 seconds
Copy any current shield/barrier effects from the target onto yourself. The stolen effect lasts 5 seconds.
Heroic Abilities

Dampen Magic
Cost: 100 Mana Cooldown: 100 seconds
Create an area of dampened magic, reducing all damage from allies or foe's abilities cast within the area by 25%. Lasts 5 seconds.

Whirling Blade
Cost: 100 Mana Cooldown: 70 seconds
Throw your glaive forward, dealing a high amount of damage to each enemy hero and silencing them for 0.75 seconds. For 4 seconds afterward, you cannot cast abilities or autoattack.
LEVEL 1 TALENTS;
Reinforced Shield - Using Reflect grants 2 charges of "block", reducing the damage from basic attacks by 25%. Can store 6 charges. Mana Drain - Each time mana is drained from a target using basic abilities, 10 mana is returned to you. Spell Mastery - Reduces the cooldown of Spell Steal by 2 seconds. Keen Awareness - Enemy heroes affected by Mana Burn are revealed for 3 seconds.
LEVEL 4 TALENTS;
Double-Edged - Increase Glaive's Edge charges to 3. Frontline Advantage - If Glaive's Edge is only used on monsters, then the cooldown and mana cost of a charge is reduced by 50%. Steady Hold - Increases the duration of Reflect by 1.5 seconds. Arcane Static - Enemy takedowns increase the amount of mana drained from enemy heroes by 1%, up to 5%. All stacks are lost on death.
LEVEL 7 TALENTS;
Energized - Successfully stealing an effect from an enemy hero reduces all cooldowns by 2 seconds. Runed Blade - Basic Attacks now drain 5 mana per hit from enemy heroes. Sharpened Glaive - Increases range of Glaive's Edge by 33%. Magical Conditioning - Reduce all spell damage by 25%, but become 25% more vulnerable to basic attacks.
LEVEL 13 TALENTS;
Abolish Magic - Remove all negative effects from an ally hero and reduce effectiveness of their application by 75% for 3 seconds afterwards. Cursed Addiction - Draining mana through basic abilities also heals you for a small amount over 4 seconds. Extinguish - Spell Steal deals 150% damage based on the effect stolen. Prolonged Observance - Spell Steal effect duration increased by 5 seconds.
LEVEL 16 TALENTS;
Deflection - Increases damage prevention of Reflect to 50%, but does not increase the amount of damage reflected. Re-position - Activate to dash to the target location a short distance away. 35 second cooldown. Achilles Heel'd - Glaive's Edge now applies a 40% slow to enemy heroes that decays over 3 seconds.
LEVEL 20 TALENTS;
Magical Immunity - Increases the dampen effect by 10% and reduced the cooldown by 20 seconds. Blade Recall - Reduces the amount of time the spellbreaker cannot attack or cast abilities by 1.5 second and mana cost by 30. Anasterian's Valor - Activate to prolong fatal damage for 5 seconds. All base ability cooldowns are reset. Heroic abilities cannot be used. 100 second cooldown.
CHANGE LOGS;
2/9/2016 -Added numerical values for health, health regeneration, mana, mana regeneration, attack speed, and auto attack damage.This was based on a comparison of Anub'arak, Sonya, and Artanis' stats @ level 1. While I believe he should be able to take damage, his relatively low health pool should balance how much utility he would bring. -Colored and structured aforementioned values in abilities.
