Deathwing

The Destroyer

The former dragon aspect of earth - Neltharion - was once the closest friend of Alexstrasza until he finally got corrupted by the whispers of the old gods. Reborn as Deathwing, the apocalypse incarnate, he now desires to destroy the world he used to protect and obliterate all life...including the Nexus.

Combat Trait

Aspect of Destruction
Deathwing traforms into a dragon and gains +25% Health.
While Aspect of Destruction is active, Deathwings basic abilities are empowered:

- Lava Fountain: Has its radius and damage increased by 25% and leaves a lava puddle for 2 seconds which deals damage to enemies in it (30% of initial dmg at 3 ticks per second) and ignites them.

- Elementium Armor: Lasts 1 additional second, reduces incoming damage by 50% and summons grasping Tendrils instead of corrupted blood, which deal 25% more damage and heal Deathwing for 50% of the damage dealt.

- Elementium Bolt: Has its radius, damage and cast range increased by 25%.

Automatic attacks deal damage in a cone before Deathwing and ignite enemy heroes.

Lasts 15 seconds.
- Cooldown: 120 seconds

Primary Abilities

Lava Fountain
Deathwing cracks the earth at the targeted location which erupts in a lava fountain after 0,25 seconds. The eruption deals 200 initial damage and ignites enemy heroes, who suffer 120 damage over 3 seconds (at 3 ticks per second). This damage radiates to other nearby enemies with a radius of 1 and also ignites them, if they take damage from 5 or more radiated ticks (does not reignite the prior hero).
- Cast Range: 6
- Mana Cost: 60
- Cooldown: 6 seconds
- Radius: 1,25 (similar to Lunaras blossom when upgraded)

Elementium Armor
Applied elementium plates protect Deathwing and grant him 25 Armor for 3 seconds. If he recieves damage from enemy heroes during Elementium Armor is active, a corrupted blood spawns (ATK Damage: 35; ATK Speed: 1,2; Health: 300) and attacks the hero who caused the spawn. Limited to 1 per hero with a duration of 10 seconds each.

- Cooldown: 12 seconds

Elementium Bolt
Deathwing hurls a bolt of elementium on the targeted location, which impacts after 0,5 seconds and deals increased damage to enemies closer to the centre. If hit in the inner circle, enemy heroes suffer 350 damage and get stunned for 0,5 seconds. Enemy heroes hit by the outer circle suffer 150 damage.
- Cast Range: 7
- Mana Cost: 80
- Cooldown: 8 seconds
- Radius: 0,75 inner circle / 2 outer circle

Heroic Abilities

Cataclysm
Deathwing channels the apocalypse for 2 seconds which explodes in a large area and deals 1000 damage (area visible through red glowing for everyone) to all enemies within. Leaves the ground burning for 3 seconds what causes ignition (see ability 1) to enemy heroes passing the area.

- Cooldown: 80 seconds

Dragonsoul
The force of the Dragonsoul is canalized on a targeted enemy hero and deals 1300 damage over 2 seconds (at 5 ticks per second) after a 0,5 sek cast time. The damage starts at 40 and increases to 220 (+20 per hit). Other enemy heroes and structures in the path may be hit by the beam instead.
- Mana cost: 80
- Cooldown: 70

Annotations

Strength: Heavy AOE damage and controlling objectives or enemy positioning
Weakness: Low mobility and relies on skillshots
