Deathwing

the Destroyer

The former Earth-Warder, Neltharion, was driven mad by the old god N'zoth, locked deep below Azeroth's surface. Though defeated once, now he brings the Hour of Twilight to the Nexus.

Combat Trait

Madness of Deathwing
On death, Deathwing's madness will overwhelm him, transforming him into a twisted version of his Dragon form. It will spawn with 20% of his maximum health, uncontrollable, and deal moderate fire damage per second to any nearby enemies. It lasts either 15 seconds or until killed.

Primary Abilities

Tectonic Smash
Deathwing will root himself and charge briefly before bringing his hammer down, slamming the area in front of him and sending a violent shockwave forward in a line. Any unit hit by the hammer strike will take heavy damage and be stunned for 1.5 seconds. Any unit hit by the shockwave will take half damage.

Moderate cooldown; ~8 seconds

Elementium Shell
Deathwing surrounds himself with a moderate-health shield that lasts for 3 seconds. The shield will explode for moderate damage when it expires. The damage begins at 50% when cast, and ramps up over 4 seconds, if destroyed, it deals proportional damage to how long it was active.

Short cooldown; ~8 seconds

Wings of the Destroyer
Deathwing uses his wings to leap into the air, slamming down at target destination a moment later, dealing damage and rooting any enemies struck in a moderate radius for .75 seconds.

Long cooldown; ~20 seconds.

Secondary Abilities

Dragon Form - Tectonic Smash
Slams the ground with his claws, doing the same effect, but in a much larger radius. Shockwave has increased width and does full damage.

Dragon Form - Elementium Shell
Hardens his elementium plates. Explosion will deal full damage despite the lifetime of the shield, massively increased radius.

Dragon Form - Wings of the Destroyer
Deathwing flies to target area with no delay, slamming down and rooting enemies with claws of earth for 1.25 seconds.

Heroic Abilities

Death Incarnate
Deathwing erupts into his true form, dealing low damage and knocking back enemies while increasing his health, size/hitbox and auto attack damage immensely. It also enhances his abilities to have extra effects.

Long cooldown; ~3 minutes.

Hour of Twilight
Deathwing will attempt to bring about the second cataclysm, rooting himself and becoming unstoppable. An huge area around Deathwing will be effected by the maelstrom's power, pulling in all enemies towards Deathwing. While channeling for several seconds, enemies in the area will be slowed periodically. Any enemies who remain in the area after the channel finishes will take immense damage. Deathwing will be able to cancel this ability early, but no damage will be dealt.

Moderate ~2 minute cooldown.

Level 1 Talents

Hardened Shell (W) - Causes Elementium Shell to block the next 2 basic attacks, reducing their damage by 50%

Regeneration Master - Gathering Regeneration Globes permanently increases health regeneration by 1.5 per second

Replenishing Strike (Q) - Restores 10 mana per target hit by Tectonic Smash, up to 50 mana.

Heroic Mode (Trait) - Increases the damage of Madness of Deathwing by 4% per second it survives.

Level 4 Talents

Shattering Smash (Q) - Increases the range of Tectonic Smash's shockwave by 20%

Vicious Landing (E) - Increases the impact area of Wings of the Destroyer by 25%

Spiteful Takeoff (E) - Roots the nearby enemies in an equal area on takeoff. If struck by the landing of Wings of the Destroyer, the root duration will stack.

Rage (W) - Increases the maximum blast damage of Elementium Shell by 50% if no damage is taken while active.

Level 7 Talents

Blistering Bulwark (W) - Deals periodic damage per second while Elementium Shell is active.

Colossal Strike (Q) - Increases the point-blank damage of the hammer strike by 50%.

Battle Momentum - Basic attacks decrease ability cooldowns by 0.5 seconds.

Broken Earth (Q) - Cause the shockwave of Tectonic Smash to slow by 30%

Level 10 Ultimates
