THE PRIMAL ZERG

Talent rework for current Dehaka.

I am Happy with Lv1, Lv4, Lv7 and Lv16 talents. Lv13 still needs some work.

The goal is to to improve talent synergy and open up different play styles because of it. There should now be build based more on Burrow and Essence as opposed to dark swarm builds. I think he needs some changes to his tongue talents but am not sure were to go as of now. I also gave his adaption heroic a few passive buffs to make it more interesting.

His base health and aa damage should be reduced just a little bit as well. There are talents for increasing to make up for this slight nerf.

Rough idea of what his new base numbers would look like

Combat Trait

Essence Collection
Trait Cooldown: 1s
Gain 10 Essence from Takedowns and 2 Essence from nearby Minions dying. Activate to consume all Essence and heal yourself for 30.16 Health over 5 seconds for each Essence stored. Maximum of 50 Essence. Can be cast during Drag and Burrow.
    Changes: Healing from Essence stack if used multiple times.

    This will prevent you from accidentally loosing your entire heal. There are times when you are trying to spam it after a stun so it activates and accidentally double tap. It should either stack or have a longer cooldown after use.

Primary Abilities

Drag (Q)
Mana: 75
Cooldown: 15 seconds
Lash out with your tongue, dealing 166.4 (+4% per level) damage to the first enemy hit, stunning and dragging them with you for 1.75 seconds.

If you are stunned or silenced while using Drag, the effect ends.

Dark Swarm (W)
Mana: 50
Cooldown: 9 seconds
Deal 62.4 (+4% per level) damage a second to nearby enemies for 3 seconds, and become able to move through units. Deals double damage to Heroes. Can be cast during Drag and Burrow.

Change
Reactive after 0.5 seconds stop moving through units
    This will allow him to body block with dark swarm up.

Burrow (E)
Mana: 65
Cooldown: 20 seconds
Burrow into the ground, entering Stasis and becoming Invulnerable for 2 seconds. Can cancel ability by pressing E

Heroic Abilities

Isolation (R)
Mana: 100
Cooldown: 60 seconds
Launch biomass that hits the first enemy Hero dealing 208 (+4% per level) damage, silencing and slowing them 30% for 3 seconds. Only allows them to see a very short distance for 6 seconds.

Adaptation (R)
Mana: 85
Cooldown: 90 seconds
After 5 seconds, heal for 100% of the damage you took over this period.

Passive: Regenerate 1 essence every 5 seconds.

Special Mount

Brushstalker
Mount Cooldown: 40s
Burrow to a bush on the Battleground.

Level 1 Tallents

Essence of the Trickster
Quest: Each time you collect 50 Essence, permanently increase your increase Dark Swarm duration by 0.2 seconds, bonus damage to Minions and Mercenaries by 20% and Burrow duration by 0.1 seconds. Stacks 10 times
Essence of the Predator
Quest: Each time you collect 50 Essence, permanently increase your Movement Speed by 1.5% and basic attack damage by 2.5%. Stacks 10 times.
Essence of the Bulwark
Quest: Each time you collect 50 Essence, permanently increase your Health Regeneration by 5 and damage resistance by 2.5%. Stacks 10 times.
    This could be changed in increase his health instead of adding resistance. Both would have the same effect. Resistance increase benefits more from his trait then a flat out health increase.

Level 4 talents:

Lurker Strain
Gain 1/2 movement speed while burrowed, burrow grants Stealth for 5 seconds.
    Changes: Dehaka can move at 1/2 speed while burrowed.

    It seems kinda silly that you have to wait 2 seconds before you start moving when stealth. If you want ambush someone you should be able to move sooner and if you use this escape it is very easy to count as everyone know where you will be once you come up from burrow. Also roaches can move while burrowed in SC so it would make since for him to talent into moving while burrowed.
Numbing Eruption
Emerging from Burrow knocks nearby enemies back and slows them by 30% for 2 seconds. Cool down for Burrow is reduced by 2 seconds for each enemy hero hit when canceled early.
    Changes: Cool down is reduced for hitting enemy heroes.

    Reducing the cooldown for hitting enemy heroes will give this talent much more values and help with a possible solo tank role.
One-Who-Collects
Increases Essence collected from Minions by 50%.
Hero Stalker
Increases Essence gained from Takedowns by 150%.

Level 7 Talents

Feeding Frenzy
Basic Attacks reduce Drag's cooldown by 1.5 seconds.
Quest: After hitting 10 heroes permanently increase basic attack speed by 20% and reduce damage by 10%.
    Change: added a quest to increase overall basic attack damage and allow for faster q rests.
Constriction
Drag now has 2 charges and stun is reduced by 0.5 seconds.
    Change: removed single use duration increase and gave an additional charge

    This will give drag more value but Dehaka will have to land the skill shot twice in order to get it. The total stun times will be 2.5 seconds if both attacks land back to back. Previously it was 2.25 seconds on a single use. It will also benefit immensely with the lvl 16 slow talent making it much easier to land the second tongue.
Symbiosis
Every time Dark Swarm damages an enemy Hero, reduce its cooldown by 0.5 seconds
Essence Devourer
Passive: Essence now heal when fully stacked
Quest: Gathering Regeneration Globes grant 10 Essence and increase your maximum Essence by 1, to a maximum of 10 increased Essence.
Reward: After collecting 10 Regeneration Globes, the amount of Essence you gain from Regeneration Globes is increased to 15.
    Change: Essence now heal Dehaka when fully stacked

    This change would make Essence Devourer a much more interesting talent and help him out as a solo tank.

Level 13 Talents

Swift Pursuit
Increases your Movement Speed by 20% (up to 30%) while in a bush and 3 seconds after leaving. Brushstalker increases your Movement Speed by an additional 35% (up to maximum of 65%)
    Change: combined talents bush movement talents and improved synergy with lv1 enhanced agility, now Essence of the Predator.

    Since movement speeds should stack this will make him faster but way to fast. With a flat 20% increase from base he could have 35% movement speed increase which might be too powerful and faster then mount speed. Having a hard limit still allows for some noticeable benefit when paired with enhanced agility from lv 1 and not hurt it without enhanced agility. I also combined both bush movement speed talents into 1.
Hungry Predator
If Drag doesn't hit an enemy Hero, it can be cast again for free for the next 3 seconds.
    New talent based off of "Bear Necessities" for Rexar
Whirling Dervish
Reduces the duration of stuns, slows, and roots against your Hero while Dark Swarm is active by 50%.
Enduring Swarm
Dark Swarm reduces the damage of the Abilities made against you by 50% for the next 3 seconds.
    This is basically a spell shield. Not sure the best way for it to activate. I changed it from the original lvl 1 ability with 2 charges.

Level 16 Talents

Paralyzing Enzymes
Drag slows enemies movement and attack speed by 50% for 2 seconds after it ends.
    Change: Also slows attack speed.

    This would make the talent a bit more interesting and immensely help the lvl 7 constriction talent. With both of these talents taken it will not be too hard to have a ~3 second stun on an out of place enemy.
Elongated Tongue
Increase Drag range by 20%.
Rapid Regeneration
Burrow heals you for 374.4 (+4% per level) Health per second and essence now heals instantly when burrowed. Cooldown reduced by 6 seconds.
    Change:Essence heals instantly when burrowed and Burrow cooldown is reduced by 6 seconds

    I think having this work well with his healing trait would be nice. It would also indirectly improve his level 4 e talents as well.
Acid Pit
Burrow leaves behind an acid pit that damages enemy units 40 damage per second for 6 seconds
    Got this idea from Burning rage talents but made it an area control based talent as dark swarm overlaps too much with burning rage

Level 20 talents:

Contagion
Isolation hits all Heroes near the first target.
Change Is Survival
Increases Adaptation healing to 125% of the damage received and reduces the cooldown by 30 seconds.
Passive: Gain 2 essence every 5 seconds.
Apex Predator
Reduces Brushstalker's cooldown by 25 seconds and the cast time by 0.5 seconds.
Primal Essence
For every 10 Essence increase your basic attack damage by 5%.
    This would be a new talent and make his basic attacks potentially a lot more powerful. It may be too powerful since his max lv 20 basic attack damage would be in the 334-347 range which puts him in the melee assassin range not tank range. Also harden shield is too similar to his adaptation ult so I removed it.

Alternative Talents/Abilities

Adaptation
Mana: 60
Cooldown: 40 seconds

Passive: Every Time you take damage you take gain 1 stack for up to 5 stacks. For each stack damage is reduced by 6%. Stacks start to disappear after 2 seconds of not taking damage.
Active: Activate to to grant Full Stacks. (CD 40 sec)

Possible talent or change to trait
Dehaka gains 0.2% attack damage every essence
    This will make him more of a baseline bruiser. May need to adjust the % damage increase up or down for balance.

Alternative/ removed talents

Enduring Swarm
Dark Swarm reduces the damage of the next two Abilities made against you by 50%.
    Change: Add indicator to let you know how many Abilities you can block.
Primal Aggression
Dark Swarm duration increased by .5 seconds and it deals 125% bonus damage to Minions and Mercenaries.
    Change: Increased bonus damage from 100 to 125
Enhanced Agility
Quest: Each time you collect 50 Essence, permanently increase your Movement Speed by 1.5%, up to 15%.
Tissue Regeneration
Quest: Each time you collect 50 Essence, permanently increase your Health Regeneration by 5, up to 60.
    Change: Maximum value incresed from 50 to 60
Ferocious Stalker
While in a bush, Dehaka can pounce to nearby target. 60s cooldown
    This would be an engage/disengage talent for Dehaka. It would be similar to blink but require him to be a bush to use it. He has no escape and this would give him a very limited escape talent. Not sure if this would be too much for him or if he would really need it.

Harden Shield
Activate to reduce damage taken by 75% for 4 seconds.
