Edwin is a master swordsman and a ferocious and swift fighter. Sacrificing power for speed his attacks are nonetheless very deadly. A long time spent running from the law has made him a swift runner and having to fight for his place in the world has made him into a lightning fast swordsman. Built as a hero hunter he is great duelist but can quickly become overwhelmed if the numbers build to far above him. He also has decent lane clearing due to a fast attack speed and a small AoE attack on low CD.
All of his abilities are as fast as the rest of him. Lower damage than most but he makes up for through sheer speed, able to out strike and out run most opponents. Low CDs correspond with his reduced damage, light fast strikes. Most of his abilities concentrate on using his trait to build combo points to use his heroics/finishing strikes. He starts each match with a choice of 3 heroics, each are upgraded again at lvl 10. Each Finishing move grants him fairly specific bonuses, so choose wisely.
Many of his talents reflect his preference for speed and cunning over brute force. Granting movement and attack speed buffs, whether temporary or permanent. Some do increase the power of his strikes but speed and agility are his best weapons. And if you find yourself outnumbered, outdamaged, or any other reason you'd need to flee, like any good rogue he has a few options to help him make good his escape.

Tips and Strategies

Edwin is a quick but somewhat fragile fighter, not Tracer fragile but he lacks Kerrigans sustain or the Hp of beefier assassins. Little to no self healing he is fairly dependent on fighting smart. utilizing your fast attack speed, any dodges/evasions you pick from talents, and his 12 second CD stun, Cheap Shot. Built to have a somewhat high skill cap he will be an easy hero to pick up but fairly hard to master.

Be Mobile
Edwin has a plethora of speed enhancing attacks and skills. Use these to run around your opponent and dodge as many abilities as you can. He's just a tiny guy, not a Diablo or Stitches. :)

Team Composition Matter
Check out who your opponents picked to play as. If they have a lot of fragile heroes, make them pay with Run Through. Lots of ranged attackers that try to keep their distance? Between The Eyes should help bring them down. If you have a good tank or a buddy with you, Slice and Dice should help you tear your opponents to ribbons.

Know your Abilities
Knowing your CD's will help your maximize your damage output. His energy regenerates at a pretty decent speed so don't be afraid to spam those strikes. Saber slash is your bread and butter but deflect can save you some pain and and put you up near your opponents. But be aware, since it automatically launches you toward the hero who attacks you activating it to escape can be hazardous to your health as you will launch to the person your trying to get away from. But don't waste your escapes and CC if you're not certain of victory. I bet all of us have been chasing an enemy only to round a corner smack into 3 enemy heroes.

Pick and choose your fights
You aren't built to take on more than 2 or 3 other heroes, and even that might not be possible depending on the other heroes and their skill. Edwin never went to head to head with Stormwind because he lacked the brute strength to do so. He picked off the weaker targets around it to weaken them as a whole. Hunt down out of position heroes, or those crave/foolish enough to venture out alone. his movement speed buffs make him an excellent chaser. If you see a enemy running away and running after them wouldn't screw over your team, GO GET THEM! He can out run just about any other hero, with Lunara and Tracer being exceptions.

Try to find your own combos
For example, at level 10, if you are fighting a heavy hitter who uses skill shots and/or ground targeted AoE's you can use Deflect to get to them fast and avoid 1 basic attack, and then saber slash them. When they try to run, cheap shot to keep them there. Run around behind them to cut off easy escape, by now Saber Slash should be off CD, use it to gain your 5th Combo Point. Keep hitting Them with basic attacks until they get about halfway around you then use Run Through for a burst of damage before using Grappling Hook to get in front of them again, keeping up the pressure with Basic Attacks, you should have some bonus movement speed by now so keeping up will be no problem, and Cheap shot will be off CD in no time but honestly all but the toughest tanks should be pretty dead if not fully dead by now. if they are still alive Cheap Shot, basic attacks, and another Saber Slash should get them there.
