Gothik

the Harvester of Souls

Gothik, the Harvester. A master of necromancy and conjuration, Gothik is said to be able to beckon forth legions of the undead at a moment's notice. It is with his guidance that even the weakest of Death Knights can raise the dead.

Gothik serves as the Harvester of Souls for the Lich Kel'Thuzad. Aboard the flying Necropolis of Naxxramas he has woven the fate of many damned souls into countless undead creatures. Now he enters the Nexus to see what terror there is to be sown into this new world.

Combat Trait

The Path of the Damned
Gothik posesses the ability to summon and command the undead. Many of Gothik's talents and abilities can create various types of undead units. These units will stay within a 20 radius range of Gothik. If they exceed this range, they will stop attacking and move towards him. Gothik does not posses the ability to perform Basic Attacks. Instead, attacking an enemy will cause Gothik to order all his undead minions to attack the target. All of Gothik's undead minions take 35% reduced damage from Area of Effect abilities. Gothik may control up to 8 undead minions at a time. Creating a new undead minion when Gothik already has the maximum amount will destroy the oldest minion.

The Path of the Damned
Activate Trait:
Gothik may activate his trait to give orders to his nearby undead minions. By selecting a point on the ground, Gothik's minions will move to this point and then begin attacking any nearby enemies. By selecting an enemy unit or structure, Gothik will order his minions to attack the selected target. This can also be done by right clicking the target. By selecting an allied unit or structure, Gothik orders his minions to move to that unit or structure, and then attack any enemies nearby.

Raise Dead
Gothik creates two skeletal minions which spawn randomly within a range 1 radius of him. If there is a minion, mercenary, or hero corpse which has expired within the last 5 seconds within the spells range, these skeletal minions will spawn randomly within a range of 1 radius upon the corpse instead. If minions are spawned off a corpse, this ability costs 50% less mana and has a 50% shorter cooldown.

Unholy Frenzy
Target minion gains 50% increased attack speed and 50% increased damage, but take damage equal to 5% of their maximum Health each second for 10 seconds. If the target is an undead minion, it takes 2% of its maximum Health each second instead. Shadow Blast
Gothik launches a blast of shadow magic at a targeted area dealing 205 (+4% per level) damage to all enemies within. Heroic Abilities

Temple of the Damned
Gothik converts one of his teams keeps into a Temple of the Damned. This temple convets all minions that pass it in its lane into autonomous undead minions. Gothik cannot control these minions, nor do they benifit from any of his talents. They retain the additional movement speed and reduced Area of Effect damage benifits, as well as retaining any special abilities of the undead minions they mimic. Warrior Minions are converted into Skeletal Minions, Wizard Minions are converted into Skeletal Darkcasters, Archer Minions are converted into Skeletal Mages, and Siege Minions are converted into Corpse Wagons. Gothik may move the Temple to a different Keep after the cooldown has expired. Temple of the damned may be used on the core, but will only effect minions spawning in the middle lane.

Gothik's mount works like a normal mount, but it adds a 40% increase to movement speed for all currently controlled undead minions.

Gothik in the Nexus

Gothik has a great deal of power in a lane. He can easily push to an enemy fort and poke at his opponents from safety. He can use his minions to scout unknown areas and watch for a potential ambush. In the late game, he is excellent at forcing a lane to push while his team is pursuing objectives, and can use his undead minions to soak damage in a teamfight.

Gothik's greatest weakness is his frailty. All the undead minions in the world wont save him if an assassin manages to get too close. In addition, his burst damage is significantly lacking, leaving him no way to deal with opponents who make it past the front line. Finally, Gothik players must be mindful of the Health of their undead. If his minions are killed, he will be helpless in the teamfight until they are replenished.

Talents

Level 1:

- Necromantic Art 'Skeletal Mage': Instead of two Skeletal Minions, Raise Dead will create 1 Skeletal Minion and 1 Skeletal Mage. Skeletal Mages can deal higher damage at a longer range.

- Necromantic Art 'Skeletal Darkcaster': Casting Shadow Blast will cause a Skeletal Darkcaster to arise in its center. Skeletal Darkcasters weaken opposing Minions and Mercenaries.

- Necromantic Art 'Skeletal Minion': Skeletal Minions gain 50% increased Health and 25% increased damage.

Level 4:

- Extended Shadow: Increase the radius of Shadow Blast by 50%.

- Potent Blast: Increases Shadow Blast damage against enemy heroes by 25%.

- No Escape: Unholy Frenzy also grants 25% increased Movement Speed.

- Undead Horde: Increase the reduction of Area of Effect damage of your minions from 35% to 50%.

Level 7:

- Return to Dust: When one of Gothiks undead minions dies within his control range, he will restore 3% of his Health and Mana over 2 seconds. This effect stacks if multiple minions die in rapid succession.

- Focused Blast: If Shadow Blast only heals minions, it refunds 50% of the mana. If Shadow Blast only damages enemies, its cooldown is reduced by 50%.

- Unending Frenzy: If a living minion dies while effected by Unholy Frenzy, it will be resurrected as an autonomous Skeletal Minion. The resulting minion will have a full duration Unholy Frenzy buff.

- Use Every Part of the Corpse: Raise Dead refunds 75% of the mana if a corpse is used to create undead minions.

Level 10:

- Temple of the Damned: Gothik converts one of his teams keeps into a Temple of the Damned. This temple convets all minions that pass it in its lane into autonomous undead minions. Gothik cannot control these minions, nor do they benifit from any of his talents. Level 13:

- Enveloping Shadows: Gothik and all his minions are consumed by shadow, placing them in stasis and granting Invulnerability for 3 seconds.

- Shadow Burst: Shadow Blast gains an extra charge, but the cooldown increases by 6 seconds. 

- Necromantic Art 'Corpse Wagon': Raise Dead will also summon a Corpse Wagon, unless one is already present in Gothiks control. Corpse Wagons are useful for siege and can be used as corpses for Raise Dead.

Level 16:

- Prolific Frenzy: Unholy Frenzy becomes a ground targeted Area of Effect ability with a radius of 2, and can effect up to 3 targets.

- Necromantic Mastery: Increase the maximum number of undead minions from 8 to 12.

- Mass Resurrection: Raise Dead creates an extra Skeletal Minion. 

- Blood for Blood: Activate to deal 10% of target enemy heroes max health and heal for twice that amount.

Level 20:

- Unholy Liturgy: Increases the Health, Damage, and Movement Speed of all units produced by Gothik's Temple of the Damned. Additionally, corpse wagons will spawn with modified minion waves as an extra unit, even if there is no Siege Minion present in the original minion wave.

- Champion of Darkness: Unholy champions gain increased 30% Health and Damage. Additionally, they gain access to the Dark Assault ability.

- Bolt of the Storm: Activate to teleport to a nearby location.

- Rewind: Activate to reset the cooldowns of your Basic Abilities.
