Greed

Baroness of the Treasure Realm

Greed is the Baroness of the Treasure Realm and mistress of all of the Treasure Golbins the Nephalem (player-controlled characters) encounter in Diablo 3. Every once and a while, a Goblin leaves the door to her vault open, and players can fight her for the chance at more of her treasure.

I designed her character in HOTS as a secondary tank/bruiser character with the ability to solo lane in a respectable but not dominant fashion, or, in a really greedy move, roam with the 4-man to which she would contribute less than a tank with more reliable engage like ETC or Muradin. The downside to this is it forces the team to get a hero who is a more reliable main tank who can also solo lane (eg: Arthas). However, her trait increases the experience she gets from things she kills herself by a small amount (moreso for heroes) but makes her give more experience as well. Greed can begin to snowball her team just by holding the solo-lane or better yet participating in a successful 4-man rotation. But she lacks the reliable self-sustain of many tanks, and presents a juicy target for the enemy team. Played well, Greed relies on the, well, greed of her enemies to chase her kill, and punishes them if they fail to secure it. She can become a late-game powerhouse for those who can reliably land her skillshots, with a level 20 talent that allows her quests to scale past their limit.

1
Gold Rush
Greed charges forward in a straight line, covering 4 units. Units hit during the charge are dealt 100 damage and Knocked Back a small distance.

When Greed arrives at her location she creates a treasure chest that lasts for 3 Seconds. As long as Greed remains in melee range of the treasure chest, she restores 2% of her Maximum Health per Second. If Greed leaves the area around the treasure chest, this healing will apply to Enemy Heroes in melee range instead.

Cooldown: 12 Seconds
Mana Cost: 60 Mana
2
Treasure Goblin
Greed summons a Treasure Goblin at her location that attempts to steal life from a target enemy hero.

The Goblin deals 5% of it's targets Maximum Life in damage on contact, and heals Greed for double this amount if it returns to her. The Goblin can be destroyed.

This ability does not cost mana, but instead Greed loses 2% of her Maximum Life on cast.

Greed causes gold coins to fall over a 6 unit AOE centered on herself, over the course of 3 seconds. Enemy heroes will be dealt a total of 15% of their Maximum Life in damage if they remain in the field for its full duration.

When she has finished channeling, for each hero that has taken full damage from this ability, Greed loses 5 armor for 2 seconds.

Cooldown: 60 Seconds

2
From the Vaults
Greed opens 6 Portals to her Vault, each releasing a Goblin. These Goblins are visually distinct from Treasure Goblin goblins.

Goblins summoned by this ability run around in random patterns within Greed's vision range and attack nearby enemies.
