Grommash Hellscream is a fearsome melee assassin who must tactically use his Rage to deal massive damage through both basic attacks and abilities.

Pros:
    Heavy single target damage
    Versatility in damage sources
    Potential sustain and bulk through talents

Combat Trait

Blood Rage
Passive:
Grommash uses Rage instead of Mana. Rage starts at 0, has a maximum of 100, and slowly decays if Grommash is out of combat for 5 seconds. Landing a basic attack grants Grommash 10 Rage, and he can generate more through War Cry.

Rage works like Sonya's Fury, but builds up slower and is spent slower.

Grommash drinks the blood of Mannoroth, granting him infinite Rage, 40% increased basic attack damage, and 10% increased movement speed for 5 seconds. Blood Rage's cooldown starts after its duration ends. Grommash is set to 50 Rage after Blood Rage ends.

Primary Abilities

Beheading Strike
Cooldown: 5 seconds
Cost: 25 Rage

Grommash strikes at a target enemy's weak point, dealing 201 (+4% per level) damage that ignores Armor. If Beheading Strike kills its target, its cooldown is reset and its Rage cost is refunded.

Beheading Strike deals 0.5% more damage for each point of Rage Grommash has.

Whirling Blade
Cooldown: 3/2/1 seconds
Cost: 15/25/35 Rage

Grommash spins Gorehowl, striking all enemies around him and dealing 123 (+4% per level) damage. If Whirling Blade only hits one enemy, it deals 100% more damage.

Whirling Blade has a 3 second cooldown, but can be used after 1 second at the price of 10 Rage for each second skipped. (15 Rage for a 3 second cooldown, 25 Rage for a 2 second cooldown, 35 Rage for a 1 second cooldown)

Area of effect is like Garrosh's Decimate, with slightly less range.

War Cry
Cooldown: 12 seconds
Cost: None

Grommash lets out a fierce war cry, slowing nearby enemy heroes by 35% for 4 seconds and generating 25 Rage. War Cry's cooldown recharges faster based on Grommash's missing health, up to 150% faster.

War Cry's range is similar to Malthael's Soul Rip.

Heroic Abilities

Leaping Strike
Cooldown: 80 seconds
Cost: 50 Rage

After a 1 second channel, Grommash charges in a target direction at an increased speed. If he hits an enemy hero, he performs a leaping strike and embeds Gorehowl in his opponent's skull, dealing 780 (+5% per level) damage. For 10 seconds afterward, Gorehowl remains in its target, leaving Grommash unarmed.

Unarmed:
While unarmed, Grommash's basic attack occurs 80% faster and deals 40% less damage. Additionally, he cannot cast Beheading Strike and Whirling Blade while unarmed.

Gorehowl:
If the target dies, Gorehowl is dropped and Grommash can pick it up, ending the unarmed affect and reducing Leaping Strike's cooldown by 30 seconds. If Grommash doesn't retrieve Gorehowl by the end of the 10 seconds, it is returned to him magically and the unarmed effect ends.

Mak'gora
Cooldown: 60 seconds
Cost: None

Grommash challenges a target enemy hero to Mak'gora for 6 seconds. Heroes affected by Mak'gora gain 50 Armor against heroes that are not affected and are Unstoppable.

Additionally, an area with 2 radius is marked halfway between Grommash and his target, and heroes affected by Mak'gora cannot leave this area.

Mak'gora has a short cast range, similar to Varian's Taunt.

Talents

Tier 1


Redeemer of the Orcs -
Quest: Deal ability damage to enemy heroes.
Reward: After dealing 5000 ability damage to enemy heroes, increase Grommash's ability damage by 10%.
Reward: After dealing 12500 ability damage to enemy heroes, reduce the cost of Whirling Blade to 15/20/25 Rage.
Reward: After dealing 35000 ability damage to enemy heroes, using Beheading Strike on a full health enemy hero resets its cooldown.

Destroyer of Ashenvale -
Quest: Activate Blood Rage.
Reward: Every 2 activations of Blood Rage increases its basic attack damage bonus by 5%, up to 60% total at 8 activations.
Reward: Reaching 10 activations increases the duration of Blood Rage to 8 seconds.

Warlord of Draenor -
Quest: Generate Rage.
Reward: Generating 500 Rage total increases the Rage Grommash receives from basic attacking to 15 per attack.
Reward: Generating 1000 Rage total increases the cooldown reduction scaling of War Cry to 200% maximum.
Reward: Generating 2000 Rage total causes Grommash to have 10 Armor as long as he remains at or above 50 Rage.


Tier 2


Always Angry - When outside of combat, Grommash will remain at 25 Rage baseline. (Won't decay past 25, and if he has less it generates up to 25.)
Killing Streak - Beheading Strike now also heals Grommash when it kills a target. Minions heal for 2.5% and heroes heal for 15% of his maximum health.
Against the Odds - War Cry generates an additional 5 Rage for each enemy hero it affects.

Tier 3


Relentless - When Grommash is Stunned, Silenced, or Rooted, he becomes Unstoppable for 1 second and gains 30% bonus movement speed for 3 seconds. This effect has a 40 second cooldown.
Heavy Impact - Beheading Strike also Stuns its target for 0.75 seconds.
No Escape - When Whirling Blade hits a target affected by War Cry, they are pulled toward Grommash.

Tier 4


Leaping Strike - See above.
Mak'gora - See above.

Tier 5


Enraged Regeneration - Grommash's life regeneration and healing received are increased by 1% per Rage he has.
Warlord's Parry - Grommash is Protected for 1.25 seconds after casting Beheading Strike.
Intimidating Roar - War Cry also reduces the damage affected enemies deal by 20% for 4 seconds.

Tier 6


Never-ending Rage - During Blood Rage, Grommash's basic attacks extend Blood Rage's duration by 0.5 seconds.
Armor Break - If Beheading Strike successfully ignores a target's Armor, reduce their Armor to 0 for 3 seconds.
Building Assault - When Whirling Blade hits an enemy hero, increase the damage of Grommash's next Beheading Strike by 10%. Stacks up to 3 times.

Tier 7


Mannoroth's End - Leaping Strike now deals bonus damage equal to 20% of its target's maximum health.
Hellscream's Challenge - Increase the cast range of Mak'gora by 150%. If Grommash or his target are outside of the area marked by Mak'gora when it is cast, they are both pulled into it.
Execute - When used against heroes, Beheading Strike deals bonus damage equal to 25% of the target's missing health.
Battle Lust - Grommash moves 10% faster at all times, and gains 20% increased basic attack speed.
