Hamuul can shapeshift into three forms. Cat form (Assassin) which deals bleeding DoT effects. Bear form (Warrior) which endures and reduces damage taken and Treant form (Support) which allows Hamuul to cast healing spells. All three of Hamuul's forms have different resources.

There is a ten second cooldown once the chosen form is left. Hamuul can also only mount and use Hearthstone in his default form.

All forms cost 100 of their respective resource (100 energy for cat form, 100 mana for Treant and no form) to transform in and out of, with the exception of Bear form, which has no cost to transform. Hamuul can shapeshift in combat.

Hamuul transforms into cat form. While in this mode, all of his basic attacks apply a damage over time bleeding effect and his movement speed is increased by 10%. Additionally, Hamuul can cast the "Thrash" ability which deals damage and applies the Damage over time bleeding effect to nearby enemies. Thrash has a four second cooldown and costs 75 mana.

While in this form, Hamuul's mana bar is replaced with an Energy bar, which quickly regenerate's and has a maximum of 100.

Hamuul transforms into Bear form. While in this mode, all damage taken is reduced by 20%. Additionally, Hamuul can cast the "Skull Bash" ability which Charges at an enemy and stuns them. Skull bash has a ten second cooldown and costs 75 rage.

While in this form, Hamuul's mana bar is replaced with a Rage bar, which is generated by dealing and taking damage and has a maximum of 100.

Hamuul transforms into Treant form. While in this mode, Hamuul passively heals the nearest hero for a small amount of health every three seconds. Additionally, Hamuul can cast the Swiftmend ability, which heals a hero for a large amount of health. Swiftmend has a one second charge-up time, has a cooldown of seven seconds and costs 50 mana.

While in this form, Hamuul has the standard mana bar and his mana regenerates 30% faster.

Hamuul transforms back into his default (Tauren) form. While in this mode, all of Hamuul's shapeshifting forms and heroic abilities cooldown 10% faster and he can use his mount and hearthstone.

While in this form, Hamuul has no resource.

Hamuul transforms into a stag, which increases his movement speed by 85% for five seconds. Hamuul can shapeshift to something else during Travel Form, however the cooldown will start upon shapeshifting or after five seconds. (50 second cooldown.)

Hamuul must be in Default Form to cast this.

Hamuul transforms into a Moonkin. While in this mode, Hamuul's basic attack damage is increaed by 10%. Additionally, Hamuul can cast Solar Wrath, which leaves a DoT effect on the enemy and transforms into Starsurge on cast. Starsurge slows the enemy by 10% and transforms into Solar Wrath on cast.

While in this form, Hamuul has the standard mana bar and mana regeneration is increased by 10%.

Hamuul cannot mount in Cat, Bear, Treant and Moonkin form. Hamuul can mount in his Default form.
