Hazrad

Hybrid Reaver

This Reaver was accidentally released by Raynor's Raiders when they destroyed Castanar's power core. It then went on a rampage throughout the facility, killing terrans, zerg and protoss alike. Raynor and his raiders barely escaped with their lives. Now this monster has found its way into the Nexus to spread death and destruction.

Character Discussion

I created this concept as Blizzard has teased this character for some time now but he still has not been released. My concept has him as a slow moving high health brawler. He does NOT fulfil the role of a true tank as he lacks peel which is key for a true tank. He does have a powerful AOE slow to help him lock down heroes that venture close. He also deals massive basic attack damage but at the cost of a slow attack speed and slow base movement. His ultimates are down to what is needed in the team. Vicious Charge gives him peel which is his main weakness and it can serve as an escape in emergencies. Behemoth on the other hand capitalises on his strengths instead, increasing both his health and damage. His trait is powerful too making him immune to slows, stuns and roots and giving him huge armor when amongst heroes. This can be improved further with his level 20 talent Unstoppable Force, making him immune to silences and sleep effects as well. However for all his strength, he is weak against heroes that do a lot of poke and he is very weak against heroes that attack max health and armor such as Malthael, Hanzo and Tychus. Also, he is not immune to knock backs and displacement effects. This means heroes like Diablo, Garrosh and Junkrat can easily disrupt his positioning, while Zarya, Maiev, Anub'Arak, and Zagara have powerful ultimates that can remove him from battle. He is also affected by Mosh Pit.
His level 20 talent, Total Annihilation can be used to "reset" all lanes in an emergency, but it comes with a hefty cooldown as a result. It will have zero effect on objective monsters or monsters summoned through abilities nor will it have any affect on uncaptured camps. The exception here is Braxis Holdout, I think it would be ok to wipe enemy zerg rushes as this would be no different to a double lava wave from Ragnaros.

In summary, he is a Warrior with the aim of teaching players to focus on his team mates rather than him and punish teams that try to focus him first in team fights. Also, even though he has a huge health pool and high damage, he moves slower than other heroes requiring good positioning and good map knowledge in order to reach objectives in time. This makes him good on smaller maps or maps with one objective, such as Volskaya Foundry or Braxis Holdout but weak on large maps or maps with multiple objectives such as Warhead Junction and Blackheart's Bay.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths:

-Huge Health pool.
-Massive Armor boost when near multiple heroes and with talents.
-Large Basic Attack damage make a him a threat to even the tankiest of enemies.
-Immune to stuns, slows and roots give him incredible team fight presence.
-Self healing gives him great sustain.
-Can stick to heroes that lack escape.
-Hard to manage and lock down for the enemy.

Weaknesses:

-No hard CC until level 10.
-Slow movement speed can be a hindrance in many situations.
-Is still affected by silence and sleep effects until 20.
-Still affected by polymorph, displacement effects and skills that remove a player from battle.
-Large health pool and armor makes him at risk from heroes that target max health and armor.
-He has very high damage with basic attacks, but blinds completely shut his damage down.
-Poor at dueling.
