Considered the greatest hunter on Azeroth, Hemet leads safaris to hunt the wildlife of Azeroth and beyond, and is the author of The Green Hills of Stranglethorn. He is generally to be found in the wild, camped out with a group of fellow hunters, surrounded by a variety of grizzly trophies collected from the native game of the area. Nesingwary and his cohorts tutor adventurers on the hunting and trapping of wild creatures.
Combat Trait
1
Jungle Hunter (Passive)
While Hemet is standing in a bush he moves X% faster and for 1 second after leaving. Basic attacks made while Hemet is standing in a bush have a X% higher chance to critically hit.
Primary Abilities
1
Mark Your Prey (Q)
Mana: ?? Cooldown: ??
Hemet marks a target as his prey, for X seconds Hemet's basic attacks have a longer range against his marked prey. Additionally, the marked target grants sight for X seconds.
2
Hunter's Trap (W)
Mana: ?? Cooldown: ??
Hemet places down a bear trap that arms itself after 2 seconds. The first enemy to step on it takes X damage and is rooted for X seconds.
If the trap is placed in a bush it turns invisible after arming and deals X% more damage.
3
Headshot (E)
Mana: ?? Cooldown: ??
Hemet locks onto an enemy to go for the kill. After 3 seconds the target takes X damage. If the target remains in range for the full cast time then the attack is a guaranteed crit, additionally Headshot deals X bonus damage if the target is cc'd.

Hemet's basic attack speed is reduced by X%, basic attack damage is increased by X% and ignores X% of enemy armor.

Initial concepts: My design intent is for Hemet to be a long range assassin with a hunter theme/feel similar to that of WoW while maintaining the lore/background of Hemet himself.
Hemet's passive I feel is very thematic and unique while also allowing him to fill a more niche position based on the map.
His basic abilities I feel are pretty standard for what you'd expect from a WoW hunter style character but with the obvious adaptations to being in HotS.
Hemet's Heroics are where I feel that Hemet really comes into his niche fulfillment.
Aimed shot allows Hemet to become a very strong single target assassin who can rip into a Warrior if he isn't focused.
Explosive shot allows Hemet to deal some limited but useful AoE damage which can be helpful on Objective team fights as well as wave clears.
Serpent sting allows Hemet to add a DoT aspect to his basic attacks which can be useful for taking down high mobility targets who disengage from a fight.
Hey I really like this concept, though do you think the three second wait period for headshot is too long? I mean it might not be due to the amount of damage the ability would deal.
Thanks! Glad you like the concept. The 3 seconds is intended to be the "cast time" during which the enemy can try to get out of range if they notice the cast animation. Granted the numbers I have listed are arbitrary really since I'm still trying to work out the balancing aspect. Very hard to do without being able to make the actual character!
