A melee Specialist who punishes enemy mistakes with crowd-controlling effects.

Volazj, one of the strongest Faceless Ones, was once the enemy of the Nerubians and all who stood against the Old Gods. In the Nexus, he intends to bring the will and power of them down upon his foes.

Tips:
-Volazj's Energy can easily be refilled by clearing minion waves or assisting in Hero Takedowns. Gifts of the Void is an easy way to in a pinch when enemies aren't being easily killed.
-Mind Flay is your best form of waveclear as well as an effective slow against Heroes. Its low cooldown can cause you to use it too frequently, spending all of your Energy.
-Void Clone can put a lot of pressure on a lane, even one you aren't in! Be sure to use it to push into Forts where enemies aren't defending.
-Insanity is a reliable way to single out an enemy Hero. It costs a lot of Energy to use though, so pick your target carefully.
-Choose Deafening Madness to deal with any large threats or enemies that move out of position. It doesn't deal any damage though, so make sure you can follow it up with a teammate.
-Choose Void Gaze when you need a more flexible addition to a tram fight. Remember Volazj comes back out of his copy with the same Health and Energy he had when it was cast.

Combat Trait

Gifts of the Void
Volazj pulls energy from the Nether, using Void Energy instead of Mana. Minions, Mercenaries, and Monsters that die near Volazj restore 10 Energy and Hero Takedowns fully restore Void Energy.

Active: Cooldown: 12 seconds
Volazj drains energy from non-Structure enemies around him for 5 seconds, dealing 3% of their maximum Health per second and restoring 1 Energy per enemy per second.

Primary Abilities

Mind Flay
Cost: 20 Energy
Cooldown: 6 seconds

Assault the minds of enemies in front of you, dealing 202 (+4%) damage to them over 3 second and slowing them by 30%. This damage is dealt instantly to non-Heroic targets.

Void Clone
Cost: 30 Energy
Cooldown: 15 seconds

Make shadow copies of friendly Minions or Mercenaries in an area for 15 seconds. Non-Heroic enemies prioritize the copies. Does not work on Bosses. Global range.

Insanity
Cost: 50 Energy
Cooldown: 15 seconds

Drive an enemy Hero mad, dealing 96 (+4%) damage to them and fearing them for 2 seconds.

Fill a Hero's mind with the whispers of the Old Gods, silencing them for 5 seconds.

Cost: 100 Energy
Cooldown: 60 seconds

Become a shadow copy of an enemy Hero for 15 seconds. The copy has all Talents the Hero had chosen. Cannot use their Heroic Ability.

Level 1 Talents

Cull the Weak (Q): Mind Flay deals 50% more damage to non-Heroic targets.

Mind Sear (E): Insanity deals 50% more damage.

Consume Light (Passive): Regeneration Globes restore 20 Energy.
Quest: Gather Regeneration Globes
Reward: After gathering 20 Globes, increase your maximum Energy by 50.

Level 4 Talents

Lacerate (Q): Increase Mind Flay's range by 25%.

Strength of Darkness (W): Void Clone copies last 5 more seconds and gain a shield for 180 (+4%).

Fleeting Essence (Passive): Minions, Mercenaries, and Monsters restore 50% more Energy.

Enslave Mind (Active): Enemy Minions killed near you or Void Clone copies grant a stack of Bribe. Use 25 stacks to bribe a Mercenary, instantly defeating them and restoring 100% more Energy. Does not work on Bosses. Maximum of 125 stacks. If a camp is defeated entirely with Bribe, the camp respawns 50% faster.

Level 7 Talents

Void Army (W): Void Clone's radius is doubled.

Paranoia (E): When Insanity is cast on a Hero with no other enemy Heroes within 4 range of the victim, refund 25 Energy and reduce the cooldown by 5 seconds.

Grip of the Void (D): Increase the radius of Gifts of the Void by 33%.

Level 13 Talents

Brain Drain (Q): Mind Flay heals for 40% of the damage dealt.

Unstable Shadows (W): Void Clone's copies explode on death or expiration, dealing 52 (+4%) damage to nearby enemies.

Pull from the Nether (D): Gifts of the Void's Active Ability restores 50% more Energy.

Level 16 Talents

Debilitating Assault (Q): Mind Flay now slows by 50%.

Descend into Madness (E): Insanity fears enemies for 50% longer.

Mark of the Old Gods (Passive): Attacking an enemy who is slowed, rooted, stunned, or feared reduces their Physical Armor by 30 for 3 seconds, increasing damage they take from Basic Attacks by 30%. This has a 10 second cooldown.

Level 20 Talents

Your Mind Betrays You (R): Deafening Madness deals damage equal to 5% of the Hero's maximum Health each second.

The Void Gazes Back (R): Increase Void Gaze's cooldown by 20 seconds and give copies access to the Hero's Heroic Ability.

Heed the Call (Passive): Minions and Mercenaries killed by Volazj or his copies are revived as allies. Does not work on Bosses.
