Imperius (WIP)

Archangel of Valor

TO EVERYONE WHO HAS ALREADY MADE AN IMPERIUS CONCEPT: I am sorry if any or every aspect of this concept sounds like yours! There are literally dozens of concepts for Imperius and they all have varying degrees of similarity! He's just that cool of a character!

Imperius is a High Risk Melee Assassin who can decimate groups of enemies given the right support and set-up.

Strong against groups of enemies and enemies that rely on stat boosts to get an edge. Weak against ranged duelists who can get out of his range quickly and characters that can block his healing.

Combat Trait

Valor / Wrath
Valor grants stacks of 5 Armor for every enemy Hero nearby, up to 25 (5 Stacks). Every 3rd Basic Attack against Heroes within a 5 second time span cleaves, dealing 10% more damage for each stack of Valor. When Imperius drops below 50% Total Hp, Valor transforms into Wrath.

Wrath grants stacks of 5% Attack Speed for every enemy Hero nearby, up to 25% (5 Stacks). All Basic Attacks now cleave and grant ? Hp healing for each enemy Hero Hit, ? Hp for non-heroes. Wrath turns back into Valor when Imperious returns to over 80% Hp.

Primary Abilities

Pinning Strike
Cooldown: 11 seconds
Mana Cost:

Dissipate into ethereal mist, becoming Intangible, before lunging toward a marked target. Hitting the target deals ? damage and roots them for 1.25 seconds. While Wrath is active the attack becomes a cleave, stunning enemies hit for 1 second.

Purge Evil
Cooldown: 8 seconds
Mana Cost: 5 per second

Lock onto an enemy target and start channeling a beam of Holy Fire toward them. Beam deals ? damage per second to the first enemy it hits. Cannot move while channeling and cannot target structures (but you can damage them).

Cowing Flame
Cooldown: 9 seconds
Mana Cost:

Unleash an arc of cinders, dealing ? damage to enemies and applying a mark of Cowing Flame to enemies for 5 seconds. Basic Attacking a Target marked by Cowing Flame heals Imperius for ? Hp and makes the target unable to benefit from stat bonuses for 3 seconds.

Heroic Abilities

Solarion's Fall
Cooldown: 100 seconds
Mana Cost:

Launch Solarion high into the air. After 2.5 seconds, Solarion crashes back to earth at a target location, causing all enemies in a large area around that location to emit ? damage in a short radius. Enemy Heroes hit deal ? damage.

Heavenly Host
Cooldown: 110 seconds
Mana Cost:

A line of angels flies overhead from behind Imperius toward a target location, dropping spears of light on enemies they pass over. Spears deal ? damage to targets and apply a 50% slow that decays over 2 seconds. This process repeats twice with a 3 second wind-up between waves, changing flight paths to match Imperius' location.

* Length of flight path is constant, no matter how near or far Imperius is from the Marked location. Angels will not change direction while in flight.

Talents (unsorted)

Wings of Valor Q - Pinning Strike can be used on Allies. Killing an enemy unit within 1.5 seconds of hitting them with Pinning Strike allows for a free cast on an ally within 2 seconds.

Godspeed Q- Gain 30% movement speed for 2 seconds after hitting a Hero with with Pinning Strike. Duration is increased by 1 second for each additional Hero hit during Wrath.

D- Gain 30 Spell Armor for 3 seconds after Wrath Activates.

D- Activate Valor to drop to 50% Total Hp, heal for 30% Total Hp over 10 sec. Cooldown is 30 seconds.

D- While at or above 3 stacks of Valor/Wrath, your cleave attacks cover a 30% longer range.

W- Purge Evil pierces the first enemy it hits, not including the designated target.

Judged by Association W- Deal ? damage per second to enemies near the target damaged by Purge Evil.

*Searing Radiance Passive- Deal 98 damage per second to nearby enemies after damaging an enemy Hero with a Basic Ability. Damage rapidly decays over 5 seconds.
Active: Imposing Pressence

*Divine Brand W- The next basic attack within 3 seconds of casting Purge Evil will burn the target for ? damage per second. The duration of the burn is equal to the channel duration of Purge Evil, to a maximum of 6 seconds.

Penance E- Increase the duration of Cowing Flames stat block by 1 second for each boosted stat lost upon activation.

Humility E- Cowing Flame also prevents beneficial statuses like Unstoppable, Protected or Heal Up.

Rapid Decent [R1]
Every enemy that dies within 1 second of being hit by Solarion's Fall lowers its cooldown by 2 seconds, 10 seconds if it's a Hero.

On My Command [R2]
Heavenly Host now launches a single line of angels like a skillshot, holding 3 charges and its slow no longer decays. However, the cooldown between charges is increased to 5 seconds.

Undaunted [D]
Double the Armor/Attack Speed on stacks of Valor/Wrath that outnumber the number of nearby Allied Heroes.
