Iron Juggernaut is not much of a traditional assassin who can outplay opponents like
Nova or can hit and run like
Zeratul. He has nearly no mobility besides maybe
Swift Mines. However, he reconpesates that with his utility and huge damage he can provide with all of his abilties. He also has some nice wave clear with his mines that are bread & butter for Iron Juggernaut. They provide damage that we want and can also provide more things, depending on our build and preferences.
There are three main builds for Iron Juggernaut. I'd like to call them
Sawblade,
Laser and
Tar. Each referrences to differend abilities of Iron Juggernaut, but they all lead to help you taste the kills. All allow that in differed ways.
The Sawbalde build is indeed focused on your Ricochet. It's good for wave clear, hitting multiple, or dealing with stray targets if needed. The blade might have a kinda long CD, but then you can use it to get the sweet CDR when hitting multiple enemies. As long as you proggress, your Ricochet will become more powerful and more useful for your team and yourself.
The main goal of this build is to use the Ricochet, of course. Because it can deal nice damage on a single target, you want to try to use your blade effectively. Actually,
Abathur matches nicely with this build as it allows for more useful swablades and some more poke Iron Juggernaut might need. Your Talent Breakdown should be:
Swift Mines, Mine Sweeper, Immobilizning Blades, Mortal Barrage, Creeping Mines, Spinning Fate, Painful Experience/Corrosive Stew.
About the choices split in "/", they are both considering, but it mainly depends on situation and preferrences.
Painful Experience is nice for taking enemies as it's slow can turn the teamfight on your favor. The
Corrosive Stew, though, is also great and can be actually even spammed like crazy, and so it's good for any build. Even Sawblade build will not regert to give it a shot.
The Laser build is indeed focused on your Cutter Laser that interacts with your Explosive Tar, much like in Siege of Orgrimmar raid instance where he can use his Cutter Laser to make the puddles explode. Because they share themselves as for creating a combo, they can be built for a
Hybrid Laser/Tar build, but for the purposes of this concept, we'll split it up. Even as split, they do goods. They just focus on something more specific.
Your main goal of this build is of course to use your Cutter Laser. If you played as Viktor from League of Legends, then you may get the point what does Cutter Laser exactly does. It's good for pretty much the same as Ricochet, except it can combo with Explosive Tar. Your Talent Breakdown should be:
Swift Mines/What Lurks in Mines, Quick Laser, Siege Laser, Mortal Barrage, Chilling Sting, Mine Factory/Oli Bombarding, Corrosive Stew.
About the choices split in "/", they are both considering, but it mainly depends on situation and preferrences. You'll mostly like to pick
Swift Mines as they provide your needed mobility, but since you can pick
Mine Factory,
What Lurks in Mines also can be worth considering as they increase the damage of all mines, even of these created by mentioned Mine Factory. About Mine Factory vs
Oil Bombarding, it's all in your preference. But since we're focused on Cutter Laser, you might want Oli Bombarding for some finishing moves and maybe utility. But Mine Factory is still an potion not to be drunk.
The Tar build is indeed focues on your Explosive Tar which can explode with Cutter Laser as mentioned before. This seperate path is not intended to be build around using E+W combo with more power, but rather to improve the normal one that can come handy when chasing enemies.
The main goal of this build is indeed to use your Explosive Tar to help securing the kills and also clearing waves. While powerful when used with Cutter Laser, the further you proggress, the better your Tar is. Especially at level 20 where you can just spam E and keep enemies away. Your Talent Breakdown should be:
Swift Mines/What Lurks in Mines, Tar of Explosives, Oil Tar, Demolishing Cannons, Boiling Tar, Mine Factory/Oil Bombarding, Corrosive Stew.
About the choices split in "/", they are both considering, but it mainly depends on situation and preferrences. Theese choices are the same as in Laser build, so check that build for this build's split choices. Instead, I'll tell about what makes this build differend than Laser one. It's used to improve both your combo and your stews even when not combo'd. Hence the
Tar of Explosives, Oil Tar and Boiling Tar make the debut.
Overall really like the feel you gave it. Especially with the trait, which will make his autoattacks feel impactful.
What do you think of making him a Specialist though? For the Iron Juggernaut to siege down the enemy base, it just feels natural, heh :D
I would personally go for a more teamfight oriented build with Oil Tar, Creeping Mines and Mine Factory to spread the slowing mines to the entire enemy team. Of course the questing talent at level 1 with that mine spreading is just dirty dirty. Love it.
Anyways, awesome concept!
