Extra Information

Play Style

Isendra is intended to be played melee, although she will be a ranged hero. Most of her spells have increased effectiveness at closer ranges and her trait requires her to be up close. Her trait active-atable gives her survivability enough to act as a bruiser, it should be on 99% of the time. Through talents she can focus more on survivability and CC through Charged Bolt or more damage throughput with Lightning. Teleport talents will help her mobility. I wasn't sure about having a straight up teleport on a bruiser but it's such an iconic ability for the Diablo 2 Sorceress, so to balance it, it costs a chunk of mana which will make it very dangerous to use frequently. Mana management will be crucial, without Static Shield active her health will be very small, think D.Va pilot form.

Isendra will teleport next to an enemy, unleashing Charged bolt which will likely hit and stun, if you are close enough the target might get hit by multiple bolts. Follow this with a close range lightning for decent damage. She will then continue to hug her target as best as possible to continue to use abilities triggering her passive. Her damage should hurt but will unlikely be able to kill a target quickly by herself (the numbers need balancing.)

Inspiration

Isendra is inspired by an Energy Shield Light Sorceress build from Diablo 2. These characters would stack as much energy as possible and invest in Energy Shield which allowed damage to be taken by mana instead of life. They would then teleport to their boss of choice, get right ontop of them and cast Static Field (Deals % of current health as damage) several times to chunk the boss. After that finished the target off with Lightning. Charged bolt, Nova, and Thunderstorm, are all iconic lightning Sorceress abilities as well.
