This hero concept is
complete! I am open to suggestions as far as refining the balance of this hero.
Izsha is the Zerg equivalent of the Terran Adjutant, receiving and cataloging information from across the entire Swarm. She was specifically crafted by the Queen of Blades herself in order to store the Queen's memories and tactics, which makes her a formidable opponent to face in combat as she can draw upon information from across the battlefield. Izsha was instrumental in organizing the campaign that brought Kerrigan back to the Swarm and reunited the Zerg broods under the banner of the Queen of Blades once more. After doing so, Kerrigan utilized Izsha's vast banks of knowledge to her advantage in her fight against Arcturus Mengsk. While Izsha can't engage in combat directly (as she is physically bound to the Queen's personal Leviathan), she is able to use her psionic abilities to provide tactical support and logistics from a safe distance, enhancing her allies' capabilities and helping push them (and the Swarm) to victory.
Izsha is a mixture of supportive and lane pushing elements that is designed somewhat similarly to Abathur. However, what sets her apart is that she has no physical body of her own, since she lives in the Leviathan. Instead, she psionically bonds with her allies to provide support, and upon taking "lethal" damage, her psionic bond with the battlefield is severed and she needs time to re-establish the link (thus why she still has a Death Timer). This allows her to provide limited support while also helping to push out lanes with her broodlings, spawned by infesting the enemy with broodling eggs. This makes her a decent mixture of support and specialist, so she will work well in a double support team comp as a form of global presence.
Hero Type: Ranged Support
Difficulty:
Very Hard
Pros:
- Izsha can attach herself to any allied target to provide support across a much larger range.
- Izsha's broodlings allow her to more easily soak multiple lanes
- Izsha's healing ability, Mend, can heal any allied target it is attached to, even structures. This can help provide a bit of a buffer against attacks in a manner similar to Abathur's shields.
- Izsha can increase the movement and attack speed of her allies with Frenzy.
- Izsha can lock down a particular target with Bio-Stasis, or provide useful area denial over an objective with Deploy Leviathan.
Cons:
- Izsha's lack of a body restricts her ability to soak lanes directly and provide a physical presence in team fights. She is highly dependent on her broodlings in order to soak properly, and doesn't have the ability to create a clone of an ally like Abathur can. Teams that take advantage of this will be able to limit her potential.
- Izsha's Broodling Infestation ability and her broodling spawns are her only form of direct damage until she reaches Lvl 10. This means that if her team mate cannot kill targets within the time frame of its poison, her potential will be greatly reduced.
- Izsha's Mend provides half of its healing over time, and less healing to nearby targets than it does to the primary target, which means it provides less instant healing to protect against incoming burst damage.
- Izsha's heroic abilities can be powerful, but her inability to provide a physical presence means that a well-coordinated team can overcome these obstacles and press their numbers advantage in a team fight.
