Junkrat

Explosive Mercenary

Junkrat is a powerful mage with an emphasis on area damage. He can hurt himself with his abilities, making him very volatile but giving him extra utility in his talent tree, should he choose. Steel Trap and concussion Mine let him set up a defensible position, allowing him to bombard his foes safely with Mayhem Grenade.

Demolition Man
Functionality The area is 5 circles the size of a mayhem grenade, their edges touching at the center. Overlapping in multiple circles does not deal extra damage.


Junkrat's abilities can damage himself for 60% of the damage they normally deal, in addition, when he dies, an area around his death location explodes for 340 (+4%/level) damage after 1 second.

Range Identical to a Frostbolt, explosion slightly smaller than Zarya Grenade.
Functionality Fires a skillshot that explodes o contact. 4 Charges, 1 charge refunded at a time.

Fire a grenade that explodes for 190 (+4%/level) on contact with an enemy. If the grenade hits unpathable terrain, it bounces off the wall, doubling its range the first time it does so.

Hitting an enemy hero with an auto-attack refunds one charge of Mayhem Grenade.

Steel Trap
Mana 60
Cooldown 12 seconds
Range Placement range is the size of Chromie's Time Trap
Functionality Place a Trap on the ground that triggers when an enemy hero comes near it.

Throw a trap on the ground that goes into stealth after 0.75 seconds. If an enemy hero walks over it, they take 130 (+4%/level) damage and are rooted for 1.5 seconds.

Concussion Mine
Mana 60
Cooldown 11 seconds
Range similar to Leoric's Drain Hope baseline. Knockback is identical to ETC's Face Melt.
Functionality Fires a skillshot that can be detonated mid-flight. If it reaches the end of it's range, it is left on the ground and can be killed or detonated.

Hurl a mine at the enemy that can be detonated by pressing E again. The mine deals 280 (+4%/level) damage and knocks back enemy heroes and yourself.

Range Placement is melee. Explosion size is 30% smaller than D. Va's Self-Destruct
Functionality Channel to control your tire similarly to Nazeebo's Ravenous Spirit. The tire has 30% of Junkrat's maximum health.

Root yourself and send a tire flying at your enemies. The tire can drive over unpathable terrain, and can be killed, but has 25 armor. The tire explodes for 360 (+4%/level) damage when you re-activate Rip-Tire.

Crush-Tire
Mana 70
Cooldown 60 seconds
Functionality Roll around for up to 10 seconds, while rolling you have a turning radius; you can roll in a circle about the size of Rip-Tire's Explosion.

Jump in your tire and roll around, gaining 40 spell armor. When you hit an enemy hero, they take 78 (+4%/level) damage and are stunned for 0.75 seconds.

Level 1 Talents

TRAIT/QUEST

Takes a Lickin': Hit yourself and an enemy hero with the same ability 5 times. REWARD: when you deal damage to yourself, gain a shield equal to 120% of the damage for 10 seconds, additional damage you deal to yourself resets the duration.

Whee!: You fly 100% further when hit by concussion mine.

TRAIT

Adrenaline Junkie: While under 50% health, gain 20% movespeed.

Level 4 Talents

Q/QUEST

Boing!: hit enemy heroes with grenades you bounced off a wall. REWARD (5 hits): grenades gain 30% additional range and explosion size. (15 hits): grenades deal 50% more damage if they have bounced.

Q

Blast Cap: Mayhem Grenades deal 45% more damage to enemies recently affected by concussion mine or steel trap.

TRAIT

Angry Eyes: After you deal damage to yourself, gain 30 ability power for 3 seconds.

Level 7 Talents

W

Snap-Trap: Increase the range at which Steel Trap will activate by 200%. (The trap will jump to the target and grab them, a short chain connecting it to its spawn point.)

Clap-Trap: Enemy heroes affected by Steel Trap are silenced for 2 seconds and lose 15 armor.

Trap-Trap: Gain a second charge of Steel Trap.

Level 10 Talents

Rip-Tire

Send an explosive Payload rolling towards your foes.

Crush-Tire

Jump in your tire and roll over enemies, stunning them.

Level 13 Talents

Q

Round the Twist: Mayhem Grenades bounce indefinitely, resetting their range each time they bounce.

E

Concussed: Enemy heroes hit by concussion mine are slowed by 30% and deal 25% less damage for 3 seconds.

ACTIVE

Tire-Fort: Activate to place yourself into stasis for up to 3 seconds. This ability has an 80 second cooldown, and dealing damage to yourself reduces the cooldown by 5 seconds.

PASSIVE

Keeps on Tickin': When you are stunned, rooted or silenced, gain 25 armor for 3 seconds and reset the cooldown on Concussion Mine.

Mad Bomber: Basic attacks against enemy heroes recharge 2 additional Mayhem Grenades

Bouncing Betty: Concussion Mine detonates again after 1.25 seconds.

Detonator: Concussion mines can be detonated by Mayhem Grenades. If a grenade hits one, 200% of its damage is added to Concussion Mine's damage.

level 20 talents

HEROIC

Duck and Cover: While using Rip-Tire, you and the tire gain 50 armor and become unstoppable.

HEROIC

At the speed of sound: While inside Crush-Tire, double your movement speed.

TRAIT

Junkenstein's Revenge: If you would die, become immune for 3 seconds. Every second, explode for 80% of the normal amount of damage that demolition man would deal. If any of these explosions kills a hero, revive with 30% of your health instantly.

Q

Explosions! More explosions!: Gain an additional charge of Mayhem Grenade. Hitting yourself with concussion mine refunds all charges of Mayhem Grenade.

Fixed a spelling mistake in "Keeps on Tickin'"

Increased health regen by 0.5 at level 1. (I decided he needed more health regen than average since he's incentivised to take damage more, and the extra regen will help recover.
Fixed a mistake in the "Whee!" Talent at level 1.
Reworked the "Boing!" Talent slightly, changing the order of the range and damage rewards, and making the first tier easier to acquire. (The first tier of talent should make the later tiers easier to get, and the extra range and size is helpful in getting more stacks of the quest. As such, the more juicy reward of extra damage was pushed later.)
