Karax is a Khalai -- the engineers, artisans, etc. of the Protoss society. He excels when dealing with mechanical units and ships, and is extremely proficient at understanding various technologies.

In Heroes of the Storm, Karax is a battle support that relies on shielding his allies as they take damage, enhancing their capacities, regeneration, and allowing them to escape undesirable situations. His shields are extremely potent, but require an ally to be damaged for their full worth to be at maximum efficiency. They are also quite costly in mana. His capacity to regenerate his allies' health is minor, and so it brings other buffs along. However, the beam is constant and has very little mana cost, and should be kept up most of the time. Finally, he brings a shockwave into battle, as his third tool. It targets an ally, and instantly deals a medium amount of damage around this ally, and knocks enemies back. The ability has a low mana cost, and a low cooldown. However, when an ally is chosen for this ability, they gain the ''shaken'' debuff, meaning that if you use the ability on them again before the debuff is gone, the knockback will not occur. The damage, however, will.

As for his trait, Karax brings a sort of ''double trait'' unto the field. Being a worker, Karax was not brought up to fight. However, his engineering skills allow him to compensate for this. Karax has a potent ranged attack that deals medium damage. However, his attack becomes unusable at melee range. When things get in melee range, Karax loses 25% damage against melee range targets, but gains the right to use his robotic arms, allowing him to attack up to 3 targets that are at close range.
The second part of his trait is as follows : Karax has no health regeneration. However, 75% of his health is composed of shields that, after Karax has not taken any actions for 3 seconds, and has not dealt or taken damage in the last 6 seconds, regenerate at an extremely fast rate. Moving, channeling, or taking any action will prevent the shields from regenerating for 3 seconds. Taking or dealing damage will prevent them from regenerating for 6 seconds.

Combat Trait

Robotic Arms
Karax's attack loses 25% of its damage at close range, but allows him to attack up to 3 different targets. The same target cannot be attacked by two different arms.

Khalai Ingeniosity
Karax has very low health and possesses no health regeneration.
To counteract this, he gains a shield equal to three times the amount of his maximum health. The shield does not regenerate in combat. The shield requires Karax to not have taken any actions (including moving) for 3 seconds, and also requires him to not have taken or dealt damage for 6 seconds. The shield regenerates at an extremely quick rate.

Primary Abilities

Emergency Shielding
Karax shields an ally for a very big amount. The shield cannot be superior to the amount of missing health the target has. The shield has a big maximum amount. If the target's current health is superior to its maximum health with the added shields, the shields start depleting very quickly. If the target is at maximum health, remaining shields deplete immediately.

Reconstruction Beam
Karax chooses an ally at great range and sets a beam upon them. Their base, unbuffed health regeneration is augmented by 1250% and they gain 10% movement speed and 10% attack speed while the beam is on them.

Psionic Shockwave
Karax uses a portion of the target's mana to cast a shockwave around them that deals damage and knocks back enemies. They gain ''shaken'' for 5 seconds, which doesn't allow the shockwave to knock back while the debuff is on them. Damage will still occur. Low cooldown, low mana cost. Uses the target's mana to cast. Cannot cast on a target who uses mana but has none. Can be cast on a target who does not use mana, at no cost.

Heroic Abilities

Ingenuous Augmentation
Karax channels and must stand still for the full duration of this. CC will interrupt this. Karax can press r again to cancel the effect, damage will not interrupt.

The ally's base, unbuffed health regeneration is increased by 4000%. Their movement speed, attack speed are increased by 30% and their ability power is increased by 20%. They also gain resistant for the duration of the buff, which reduces damage they take by 20%. Upon initially receiving the buff, they also receive a 1000 (at level 20) points shield that does not regenerate.

Reclamation
Karax can claim a non-core enemy building for up to 15 seconds. The building becomes friendly and will fire at enemies for the duration. However, enemies will also fire at it. If its ammunition was at 50% or less when the building was claimed, it gains bonus ammunition equal to 25% of its maximum capacity.
