The Frozen Lich

"Your victory is a hollow one, for I shall return with powers beyond your imagining!"

Kel'thuzad is a ranged Specialist, using his range to crowd-control his enemies ruthlessly.

Strengths:

Kel'thuzad's range allows him to stay far away from most fights.

His high amount of crowd-control can leave enemies vulnerable.

Chains of Kel'thuzad can turn teamfights, essentially making them 6v4.

Guardians of Icecrown is great at protecting Kel'thuzad from most threats.

Weaknesses:

Kel'thuzad's low health pool makes him vulnerable to diving characters such as Illidan if he has used his abilities.

Long slowdowns are the price of Kel'thuzad not requiring mana, so be is vulnerable when his abilities are down.

Kel'thuzad is lacking in damage without his heroics, having mostly crowd control, so he needs a high damage ally to compensate.

Combat Trait

Soldier of the Frozen Wastes
Summons a Soldier of the Frozen Wastes at the target location for 7 seconds. Soldiers will automatically attack nearby enemies for 50% of Kel'thuzad's basic attack damage. Soldier attacks pierce through all enemies near the target and attacks from multiple soldiers at once will deal 50% damage. Kel'thuzad's spells can be cast within a certain range of Soldiers. 3 charges, 15 second cooldown.

Primary Abilities

Shadow Fissure
Create a fissure under the target hero's location that explodes after 2 seconds, dealing 350 + (4%) damage to enemies inside and slowing them by 50% for 1.5 seconds. 7 second cooldown.

Icy Tomb
Encases an enemy in ice, dealing 100 + (4%) damage and stunning them for 1 second. Creates an icy zone around the target for 3 seconds, slowing enemies by 30% and dealing light damage every second. 10 second cooldown.

Screeching Spirits
Summons a spirit at the target location for 5 seconds. The spirit is untargetable and stationary. The spirit deals 50 + (4%) damage every second to enemies around it. This ability can be reactivated, causing the spirit to screech in a direction, removing itself in the process. The screech is a cone similar to Jaina's Cone of Cold, and deals 300 + (4%) damage while Fearing enemies hit away from it for 1.5 seconds. 14 second cooldown.

Heroic Abilities

Guardians of Icecrown
Summons 4 Guardians of Icecrown to protect Kel'thuzad. Guardians of Icecrown are large, have double Kel'thuzad's attack damage, and triple Kel'thuzad's health. They will automatically attack nearby enemies, but will target the most recent hero to attack Kel'thuzad within 5 seconds. Guardians will automatically return to Kel'thuzad if they travel too far away. Guardians last 60 seconds. 2.5 second cooldown on targeting. 180 second cooldown.

Chains of Kel'Thuzad
Charms an enemy hero, causing them to attack their allies, prioritizing heroes, for 5 seconds. Charmed heroes can use all basic abilities, but supporting abilities can only be used on and will only affect Kel'thuzad. Charmed heroes can be attacked by their allies, and when reduced to 30% health or below will immediately exit the charm. If the Charmed enemy is killed by their allies, their teammates do not get any experience, and the kill is considered Kelthuzad's. 90 second cooldown.

Talents

Level 1:

!Dark Spirits: !Quest: Hit 15 enemy heroes with Shadow Fissure and Fear 20 enemy heroes with Screeching Spirits. Reward: The width and length of Screeching Spirits' wail is increased by 15% and Shadow Fissure spawns a Screeching Spirit at the center when it erupts.

!Frozen Soldiers: !Quest: Cast Icy Tomb on enemy heroes from the range of a Soldier 15 times. Reward: Soldiers are surrounded by Icy Tomb's area of effect and Icy Tomb spawns a Soldier when the stun ends.

Level 4:

Exposing Cold: The target of Icy Tomb takes 25% increased damage for 4 seconds.

Cruel Darkness: Shadow Fissure does 50% increased damage to enemies affected by hard crowd control.

Everlasting Spirits: Screeching Spirits now remains after the Fear is used.

Level 7:

Darker Darkness: The radius of Shadow Fissure is increased by 50%, and enemies in the center take 50% more damage.

Lingering Ghosts: Screeching Spirits now last for 7 seconds.

Frozen Doom: Icy Tomb now deals 10% of the targets max health as damage over the duration.

Level 13:

Legion of the Frozen Wastes: The cooldown of Soldier of the Frozen Wastes is reduced to 10 seconds.

Undead Perseverance: Soldiers spawned from Soldier of the Frozen Wastes now last for 10 seconds.

Runed Weaponry: Soldiers spawned from Soldier of the Frozen Wastes now deal damage equal to Kel'thuzad's attack damage and the damage dropoff is reduced to 50%.

Level 16:

Banshee's Wail: Screeching Spirits now Fears all enemies around it.

Consuming Shadows: Enemies in the center of Shadow Fissure are stunned for 1.5 seconds.

Hypothermia: Enemies who stand in Icy Tomb's area of effect for 2 seconds are also stunned for 1 second. This does not affect the original target of the ability.

Level 20:

Acherus' Grasp: Kelthuzad's Chains lasts 1 second longer and the target can use their heroic ability, without triggering the cooldown once uncharmed.

Icecrown's Dominance: Guardians of Icecrown now summons 5 Guardians that last for 90 seconds.

Rewind: Reset all cooldowns.

Time Warp: Every 10 seconds, remove 1 second from the cooldown of every ability on cooldown. Happens twice as fast out of combat.
