Primal Zerg (Rework)

The goal of this build is to bring The Queen of Blades more inline with her SC2 character. While keeping as much as the original build as possible. I have also added an alternative ult to make her an anti shield assassin. With heroes like Chen, Artanis, Lucio, Tassadar, Zarya, Johanna, Anub'arak, Falstad, Xul, Tyrael, Jaina, Brightwing, Heroes with Storm Shield, Murky, Abathur, Morales, Probius, Sonya and a few others probably having many shield base ability and talents Kerrigan could become a nice counter for that aspect of their kit. 3 of them are Protoss so it should be fine lore wise. With the counter being part of her ult it wont be something she can do all the time or in every fight either.

Combat Trait

Assimilation
Gain 10% of damage dealt from Basic Attacks and Abilities as Shields for 5 seconds. Each hero hit increase shield amount gained increase by 5% for the next 2 seconds.

Quest: Maintain shields for 20 seconds
Reward: Increase maximum Shield duration by 0.5 seconds to a maximum of 20 seconds.
Reward: After 30 stacks while Assimilation is active, Kerrigan's Health and Mana regeneration is increased by 100%.


Added Assimilation as a baseline shield quest and increased shielding for hitting multiple Heroes. She gets less shielding when hitting a single hero but can get up to 35% if she hits the entire team. Kerrigan will benefit from enemies clumping up now but not as a good in a 1v1. The shield duration will continue to refresh with attack but the hero bonus will not refresh.

Primary Abilities

Ravage
Q Mana: 40 Cooldown: 8 s

Leap to a target, dealing 237.12 damage. If the enemy dies within 1.50 seconds, this cooldown is instantly reset.


I am leaving this the same. I could change the name to Leaping Strike but it does not really make a difference. I thought about adding a mana refund to the base ability if you kill the target but am not 100% on it.

Psionic Shockwaves
W 55 Mana - 10s cooldown

Empower the next 2 basic attacks to gain 100% increased range and bounce to nearby enemy within 4 range, dealing 75 to them.


This is a baseline AA upgrade talent. It will take the place of cleave and give her some slight range poke.
When activated she will have 4 attack range compared to 2 and does splash damage up to range 6

Primal Grasp
E 50 Mana - 8s cooldown

Place ring at target location and pull enemies within the target cone towards you, dealing 95 damage. (was ~118)

Impaling Blades/Crushing Grip:
Impaling Blades/Crushing Grip can be activated for 70 Mana within 1.5 of seconds of Primal Grasp. After 1 seconds, deal 200 damage (was ~225) to enemies within the target ring, stunning them for 0.75 second. Cooldown for Primal Grasp increases by 4 seconds


Changed Impaling Blades/Primal Grasp to Crushing Grip. It does a similar thing as the old W + E combo but is one ability now. It also has a shorter cooldown if impaling blades is not used. It could keep the same spikes Zerg animation or have some skins that are more Psionic in nature similar to SC2 Kerrigan

Heroic Abilities

Maelstrom
Mana: 100 Cooldown: 100 s

After a short delay (2 seconds), release syonic energy that deals 125 (+4% per level) damage per second to nearby enemies. Damage increases by 75 (+4% per level) every second and by passes shields. Lasts for 3 seconds

This is similar to the old Maelstrom but damages much faster. 500 damage over 3 seconds vs ~600 over 7 seconds.  Shorting the time damage is dealt will reduce the risk of using it for a slight decrease in damage. The name is changed from the SC2 ability because Diablo's ult has the same name. It will have a short delay so it could get interrupted if the enemy teams if careful.

Assimilation Aura
Mana: 100 Cooldown: 110 s

After a short delay (2 seconds), assimilate all shields on nearby enemies and increase Shield amount gained from Assimilation by 100% for 5 seconds.

Passive: Increases duration of Assimilation Shields by 10 seconds and maximum value


Assimilation Aura is a situational ult that punishes teams that rely to much on shields. While it does not damage health it can negate the effect of shields and gives Kerrigan extra sustain

Summon Ultralisk

Mana Cost: 100
Cooldown: 80 seconds
Summon an Ultralisk that attacks the target to deal 91 damage. Attacks splash to nearby enemies for 50% damage. Ultalisk damage against minions give 150% increase shields. Can reactivate the Ability to retarget the Ultralisk. Lasts for 10 seconds. Ultralisk shares shields with Kerrigan and lasts 0.5 second longer for each continuous 0.5 second shielded up to 50 seconds. Cooldown counts down while the Ultralisk is alive.



Ultralisk duration is now dependent on shields and can live much longer if shielded
