Leah

Corrupt Vessel

Leah didn't ask to be born the vessel for the Prime Evil, but she was. Child of Adria and the Dark Wanderer, her parentage (which she did not learn until too late) cursed her with considerable magical power. She uses this power to draw upon the Black Soulstone, using it to imprison and control the souls of Demons (among other things). However, the Stone is more powerful than she realizes.

Upon capturing the last of the Evil's souls in the Stone, Adria's plan took effect and Leah was killed, becoming Diablo. The Nephalem mourned this loss, thinking her a victim of their quest to save Sanctuary. Leah's soul, protected by the Angelic Tribunal, arrived in the Nexus shortly after her death. Of course, the Soulstone's power continues to exert its influence over her...

In the Nexus, Leah is a powerful Mage, channeling the Soulstone to great destructive effect. Her auto-attacks are very weak, as she lacks physical strength. Her magical power makes up for this weakness, but it comes at a price: overuse of this power sends her into a state of Corruption from which it is difficult (but not impossible) to return. Players who embrace the power of Corruption will find their enemies severely damaged, but Leah may lose her life in the process.

Leah is a risk-reward mage. She isn't a glass cannon, but her spells put her at risk. Players can build her to embrace this risk, increasing the power of Corruption, or play her more safely by allowing Corruption to be delayed longer and be recovered from more easily.

Combat Trait

1
Restrained Corruption
Leah draws on the power of the Black Soulstone to amplify her magical abilities - as a result, she does not use Mana as a resource. Instead, her abilities lessen her Control over the Soulstone. When her Control Gauge is depleted, she enters a state of Corruption. In this state, Leah has access to a new set of abilities. Hitting targets with these abilities restores Control, and if she is able to fully restore her Control she will return at full Health.

By Default, Leah has 500 points of Control.

Primary Abilities

1
Sustained Corruption
Leah channels a beam of dark energy at a single target. Both Leah and her target are slowed by 60%, and the target takes 75 damage per second.

Cast range is about the range of Tychus AA. Break range is about the range of Valla AA.

Costs 5 Control per second.
2
Shadow Swarm
Leah loosens her grip on the Soulstone and releases 6 Shadow Demons. Each demon acquires a target and moves towards them at mounted speed. When they reach their target, they deal 225 damage and reveal that target for 3 seconds.

Acquisition range is similar to untalented Drain Hope range. Prioritizes heroes. Deals 75% less damage to non-heroic targets and does not target structures.

Costs 40 control.
3
Dark Bargain
Leah selects an Allied Hero (can be self-cast). If that hero is not damaged in the next 2 seconds, they are healed for 100 health, and Leah restores 100 Control.

Cast range is about Valla AA range.

Costs 20 Control.

Secondary Abilities

1
Corrupted Earth
Leah's power shapes the earth into a crystalline spike, radiating dark energy in a small aoe around it. Enemies in the effected area take 50 damage per second. Each tick of damage received in this way restores 10 Control. Heroic Targets provide double the Control gain.
2
Shadow Prison
After a 1 second delay, Leah summons a shadowy prison at the selected location. Enemy Heroes hit by this effect are rooted for 1.5 seconds and take 100 damage. Each hero hit by this effect restores 100 Control.
3
Shadow Pulse
Leah emits a rapid wave of energy, dealing 35 damage and slowing targets hit by 20% for .5 seconds. Each target hit restores 10 Control. Effect doubled on heroic targets.

Heroic Abilities

1
Evil's Mark
Leah unleashes the Soulstone's fury for a moment, marking a large area with it's curse. After a 1 second delay, enemy heroes in the area of effect take 100 damage and are cursed. As a result of this curse, for the next 4 seconds, the target will take a small amount of damage as they move.

Movement effects that teleport the target (Globals, Blinks, et cetera) will not trigger this effect, but other movement effects (Dashes, Leaps, et cetera) will not.

Cast range is similar to Valla AA, AOE is slightly larger than Horrify.

Costs 100 Control.
2
Unhinge
Leah releases her Control fully, immediately entering into a state of Corruption. For each 100 points of Control Remaining, she adds 1 second to Corruption's duration.
