Loatheb

Living Plague

The dread necroplis Naxxramas is inhabited by many nightmarish creatures of the Scourge - few are as terrifying as Loatheb. Many brave adventurers met their end at the hands of this fungal monstrosity, hence very little is known of its creation. Some say that the creature was created by fusing bog beasts of Azeroth with the plague. Although highly resilient, many of these giants withered and decayed upon contacting with the plague of undeath. However, the one that survived molded the disease and became the nightmare that inhabits the darkest corner of the Plague Quarter. It is said that Loatheb controls the power of healing itself. Thus, this eternal servant of the Lich King awaits those bold and foolish enough to meet their end...

Primary Abilities

1
Deathbloom
Cost: 60 Mana
Cooldown: 15 seconds.

Launch a necrotic bog mass at the enemy target, dealing 35 (+4% per level) damage every second for 8 seconds. After expiring, the target blooms, dealing 110 (+4% per level) damage to itself and all targets in a small area around it.
If the affected target is healed by a direct healing source it will cause Deathbloom to bloom early, dealing 220 (+4% per level) damage to the affected hero and nearby enemies.
2
Loathebs Gift
Cost: 80 Mana
Cooldown: 7 seconds.

Loatheb infuses the target with plagued fungus which increases damage taken by 20% and healing received by 30%. Can be cast on ally and enemy Heroes. Cannot be self cast. Lasts 3 seconds.
3
Fungal Parasite
Cost: 45 Mana
Cooldown: 10 seconds.

Inject a Fungal Parasite into a targeted ally or enemy Hero host. Ally Heroes have their health regeneration increased by 300%. Enemy Heroes affected have their health regeneration reduced to 0%. Cannot be self cast. Lasts 6 seconds.

Heroic Abilities

1
Fungal Spores
Cost: 50 Mana
Cooldown: 30 seconds per charge.

Place a Fungal Spore at a targeted location. After 2 seconds the spore becomes invisible and active. Spores have 5 HP and can be destroyed with 5 instances of damage.
Enemy heroes, minions and mercenaries that step on the spore will trigger it to explode, slowing the move speed of all affected targets by 70% and attack speed 50% for 3 seconds. Additionally, if the affected targets are Heroes, they will have Fungal Parasite applied to them as well. This effect is refreshed if the same target is already affected by Fungal Parasite.
Stores a maximum of 3 spores. Each spore lasts for 100 seconds.
2
Plague Spores

Only one target can be marked at the time. Attacking another Hero removes stacks from the previous one.

Philosophy

'It is said that Loatheb controls the power of healing itself.'
This sentence sparked the concept as it is. I imagined Loatheb to be something between a Specialist and a Support, but the more I thought about how he controls the powers of healing, the more I leaned towards him being a Support - but not a regular one. Loatheb doesn't heal directly. He is a plagued fungal giant, so I assumed healing in a conventional way like Uther or Rehgar wasn't the best route. However, he can manipulate the healing (either health regeneration or healing received) which made much more sense and made him more interesting. Obviously, I did research on his Naxxramas encounter (which is where all his info is found anyway) and got some ideas from there.

Loatheb is somewhere in the middle - truest to the Support role. He is not a HEALER, nor is he really offensive (think Tyrande who is more an Assassin rather than a Support). He has a blend of both: a SUPPORTERS SUPPORT!
Imagine having Loatheb along side Uther in your team. Now Uther can heal quite well, but Loatheb could buff his healing to the next level. With this type of a kit, Loatheb is something like an Abathur that specs into his shield. Unlike him though, Loatheb can off-tank (which is why I dedicated his Level 1 talents to be tanky and unavoidable).
With Necrotic Aura and both Heroic Abilities, Loatheb possesses some lane control and his DoTs grant him a sustained source of damage. Of course, he can't clear the lane like Gul'dan for example, nor does he possess the steady damage of Nazeebo, but he can do both just enough to make a difference. This variety is his greatest strength and thus would make him a great addition to any team composition! He is the jack of all trades, but master of none.

Clarifications

I assume everything is pretty clear and understandable, but just in case I will add stuff here as needed/required/requested.

Basic Ability:...Deathbloom - DoT damage won't dismount the target. However, area damage done once the target 'Blooms' will dismount both the host and all nearby targets.
Also the 'Bloom' effect is triggered early by a direct healing source such is Chain Heal. Regrowth, although a HoT, is cast DIRECTLY and thus will trigger it. AoE heals and healing auras (think of Lúcio), as well as regen globes and fountain healing DO NOT trigger an early 'bloom'.

Level 20:...Gift of Plaguelands - Duration reduction (from 3 to 2 seconds) only applies to enemy Heroes. Ally Heroes still have the full duration. Increased damage taken still applies to both ally and enemy.

Level 20:...Crippling Spores - Root applies only to Heroes, but the move speed reduction still applies to other Non-Heroic enemy targets (otherwise this would provide a perfect way to stall lanes). Root lasts for 3 seconds just like the slow.
