Lu'lin

the Lunar Consort

Lu’lin and Suen are twin mogu who serve as Consorts and protectors of Lei Shen the Thunder King. They use a sun and moon motif, working together, but being naturally opposing forces (a fact you exploit in the fights). This concept is a duo hero (must be picked together) designed alongside WhoYouExpect, his part which can be found here:

In HotS, Lu’lin is a powerful disruptive melee support who focuses on disabling and hampering enemies above all else so that her team, and namely her sister, can take them out. While phased out, Lu’lin brings more disruption tools, but can protect enemies from her sister’s might.

Combat Trait

Celestial Cycle
Passive

Lu’lin and Suen both share a cycle called the Celestial Cycle, which has three phases: Daylight, Nighttime, and Dusk. Daylight and Nighttime each last 5 seconds, while Dusk lasts 10 seconds. While it is Daylight, Lu’lin becomes phased out, reducing damage taken by 50%, increasing her movement speed by 20%, but losing all of her normal basic abilities for two new abilities. She can also not basic attack or interact with objectives while phased out. While it is Nighttime, Lu’lin’s abilities are empowered. Lu’lin has no bonus or malus during Dusk. While Suen is dead, it is always Nighttime. Lu’lin cannot move more than 9 units away from Suen at all times. When Lu’lin respawns, her respawn is delayed for .25 seconds for every 5 units between the Hall of Storms and Suen, after which time she spawns within 3 units of Suen.

Primary Abilities

Cosmic Barrage
Cooldown: 8 seconds
Mana Cost: 80

Lu’lin can quickly denote three 1.5 unit radius target locations (within 9 units) within 1 second (while channeling), and then fires bolts to those locations swiftly. Any enemy hit by a bolt is dealt 220 (+4% per level) damage and is knocked out of the area. Each consecutive hit on the same enemy deals 25% damage.

Quoted:
(Empowered) Cosmic Barrage’s cooldown is reset 1 second after use. This can only happen once every 8 seconds.

Moon Lotus
Cooldown: 12 seconds
Mana Cost: 60

Lu’lin calls down a moon lotus upon a target location, which lasts for 10 seconds and arms after 1 seconds. Every 3 seconds after arming, the Moon Lotus will fire dust in the direction of the nearest enemy Hero within 7 units, which travels slowly. If the dust hits any enemy Hero, they are put to Sleep for 2 seconds.

Quoted:
(Empowered) The Moon Lotus fires two bolts every time it fires, at two separate enemy Heroes. All active Moon Lotuses are also empowered when the Nighttime arrives.

Beast of Nightmare
Cooldown: 8 seconds
Mana Cost: 65

Lu’lin strikes an enemy Hero within melee range, dealing 165 (+4% per level) damage and infecting them with a Beast of Nightmare for 4 seconds. Every second, the enemy is dealt 40 (+4% per level) damage, and if the enemy is healed, the healer is dealt 50% of the healing amount to them as damage.

(Empowered) While an enemy is affected by Beast of Nightmare, two Beasts attack the enemy, each with 220 (+4% per level) health and dealing 22 (+4% per level) damage each second with melee attacks.

Secondary Abilities

Ice Comet
Cooldown: 6 seconds
Mana Cost: 30

Lu’lin calls down a comet of ice upon a target 1 unit radius location within 6 units after a .5 second delay, dealing 60 (+4% per level) damage to all enemies in the area and stunning them for 1.25 seconds. The ice comet remains for 5 seconds. If Suen is within 5 range of the comet while using Blazing Radiance, it’s damage will not increase and will instead decrease in 10% intervals, to the base value.

Dreamer's Shade
Cooldown: 6 seconds
Mana Cost: 50

Lu’lin corrupts an enemy Hero within 5 units, tethering her to the enemy for 1.5 seconds. While tethered, the enemy deals 25% reduced damage, and if it lasts until completion, the enemy is put to Sleep for 2 seconds. While tethered, the enemy takes 75% reduced damage from Suen.

Heroic Abilities

Tidal Force
Cooldown: 100 seconds
Mana Cost: 100

Lu’lin channels in place for up to 4 seconds, gaining Spellward and 25 physical armor while channeling. Every second, Lu’lin unleashes a 3 unit wide tidal wave towards her cursor’s location, which travels for 8 units before abating. Any enemy hit by the tidal wave is dealt 120 (+4% per level) damage and is carried to the end of the wave.

Darkest Night
Cooldown: 6 seconds
Mana Cost: 50

(Passive) While it is Nighttime, all enemy Heroes in a range of 13 have their vision range reduced by 50%.

(Active) After a .75 second, Suen releases a burst of power around them, putting all enemy Heroes within 5 units to Sleep for 2 seconds. The duration depreciates half as slowly while the afflicted enemy does not have vision on one of Lu’lin’s allied Heroes.

Talents

Tier 1 - Gameplay Establishing

New Moon: Cosmic Barrage deals 50% increased damage to enemies afflicted by Beasts of Nightmare, and if at least one enemy Hero was hit by at least two strikes from a Cosmic Barrage, all allied heroes within 5 units have their spell power increased by 10% for 5 seconds.

Celestial Alignment: The duration of Nighttime and Daylight are increased by 1 second, while the duration of Dusk is reduced by 2 seconds. In addition, Lu
