Maar

Hybrid Destroyer

Maar is a squishy burst-mage who is designed to utterly blow up the enemy team with deadly combos. A lot of damage comes from his trait. Neither of his ults deal much damage, but provide large amounts of utility and set-up potential. He can be built for burst-damage, or as a pseudo auto-attacker, firing off his trait multiple times against a single target using buffed auto attacks.

Combat Trait

Psionic Overload
Every time Maar deals damage to an opponent, they are revealed and hit with a stack of Psionic Overload, up to 6. After 6 seconds, the target loses all stacks. If they had at least 3 stacks, they also take 56+4% damage per stack. Taking damage always refreshes the duration unless they are at max stacks.

Primary Abilities

Psionic Shockwave
After 0.5 seconds deal 205+4% damage to the target area. Then, deal an equal amount of damage in the center after an additional 0.25 seconds.

Warp
Become untargetable and quickly move in a straight line. Enemies you pass through take 138+4% damage and are slowed by 30% for 3 seconds. Cannot be used to pass through terrain.

Plasma Burst
Fire a slow moving skillshot that deals 86+4% damage to enemies it passes through. Activate this ability again to cause the projectile to quickly change direction towards the target point then explode on the first target hit, knocking enemies forward in the direction it was travelling and dealing 165+4% damage.

Fire a linear skillshot with global range. Enemies hit take 56+4% damage and are rooted for 2.5 seconds

True Despair
Channel for 2 seconds, then teleport to the target area with global range. Deal 89+4% damage to targets in a wide area when you arrive. In addition, gain a shield equal to 40% of your max HP per hero hit, up to 120% of your max HP, that lasts for 7 seconds.

Talents

Level 1:

Reality Traveller - Warp's CD ticks down twice as fast above 85% health.

Endless Expanse - Every time you hit a hero with the delayed center blast of Psionic Shockwave, increase the radius of the outer blast by 2.5%, up to 25%, with the bonus lost on death. Upon completing the quest, the bonus is no longer lost on death.

Dampen Magic - Upon taking ability damage, reduce it and all other oncoming ability damage by 50% for 1.5 seconds. Occurs once every 8 seconds.

Level 4:

Solar Surge - When Psionic Overload triggers, enemies become vulnerable for 4 seconds, taking 25% increased damage.

Psi Fury - Every time Psionic Overload triggers, gain a charge, up to 4. Each charge increases your attack speed by 100% for two attacks.

Plasma Overdrive - Knockback from Plasma Burst increased by 20% and it stuns for 0.4 seconds.

Level 7:

Eternal Torment - When Psionic Overload triggers, only 4 stacks are lost at most.

Repelling Shield - Striking an enemy hero with the center blast of Psionic Shockwave grants a shield equal to 20% of your max HP for 4 seconds.

Final Destruction - When an enemy that has a stack of Psionic Overload dies, it explodes, dealing 40+4% damage to nearby targets.

True Despair

Level 13:

Time Slow - Increases the slow from Warp to 40% over 4 seconds, and enemy CDs tick down half as fast over the duration

Power Overwhelming - Damaging an enemy with 6 stacks of Psionic Overload immediately consumes all 6 stacks.

Synergy - Damaging an enemy with Plasma Burst decreases the CD of Psionic Shockwave by 4 seconds.

Level 16:

Psionic Backlash - Casting an ability deals 80+4% damage in a shockwave around you.

Resurgence - Activate to heal 50% of your max HP and mana over 8 seconds, during which you are vulnerable. CD: 30 seconds

Giant Melter - Each stack of Psionic Overload deals bonus damage equal to 1.5% of the target's max HP.

Level 20:

Black Hole Sun - Increase the width of Graviton Prison by 100%. When the effect ends, deal equal damage a second time.

Hallucinations - Enemies affected by True Despair will see their allies as being other Maars for 3 seconds. During this time they can target their allies, but this will neither deal damage nor inflict crowd control.

Phase Out - Activate to become invisible and untargetable for up to 7 seconds. CD: 30 seconds.

Nexus Frenzy - Gain +20% attack speed and range.
