Lore: Warden Maiev Shadowsong, along with her younger brother Jarod Shadowsong, played a key part in the fight against the Burning Legion during the War of the Ancients. In the aftermath, Maiev asked to be and was appointed the jailor of Illidan Stormrage & took on the mantle of leader of the Watchers. After Illidan rose to power in Outland, Maiev was imprisoned at the Warden's Cage in Shadowmoon Valley, where Akama & the Ashtongue Deathsworn served as her jailors. Maiev allied with Akama snuck into the Black Temple during a Sha'tari attack where she joined Akama & the adventurers, he had rallied in the final battle against Illidan. Fueled by the desire for vengeance Maiev struck the ending blow that finished the Betrayer's life. However, she became a husk of her former self, admitting that with Illidan dead, she was nothing.
Abilities: Categorized within the assassin role, Maiev's abilities are mostly centered around eliminating enemies or greatly staggering their potential. At the very beginning of a game, she starts off with three basic primary abilities that are meant to not only disable enemies but also help her allies. As the match continues & Velen eventually acquires level 10, two optional heroic abilities are unlocked. Although, the majority of her abilities can rival and even outperform other assassin players, she depends on the efficiency & helping of the team to stay alive.
Mana: 60
Cooldown: 10 seconds
Maiev vanishes from sight becoming Stealthed for as long as she stands still. Her next Basic Attack deals 150% additional damage and breaks Stealth.
"Poise to strike, Maiev sets her eyes on nearby pray and patiently awaits their inevitable downfall, if they dare approach her vicinity. Her unfortunate victims, never live long enough to divulge her whereabouts."
Mana: 85
Cooldown: 8 seconds
Kicks an enemy dealing 118.56 (+4% per level) damage and silence enemies making them unable to use Abilities for 0.5 seconds.
"Maiev is a master at dealing with multiple opponents, if she were to get outnumbered she relies on the quickness of her feet to briefly knock out enemies. To say, she's fast on her feet is an understatement."

Cooldown: 10 seconds
Maiev cries out in anger increasing the Movement Speed by 5% of nearby allies for 4 seconds. Affected targets are healed for 100 (+4% per level) Health if they get a Takedown.
"Reminded of her fallen comrades in battle, Maiev let's out a remorseful cry, motivating the moral & spirit of her soldiers in battle. If enemies where to hear her from a far chances are their fate is already decided."
Heroic Abilities Unlocked at level 10, Maiev gains the option to choose two powerful heroic abilities to help the flow of a battle. Both of these heroic abilities cater to a specific need that will be left to the player to decide. Also, remember to keep an eye on the cooldown of these abilities, they are lengthy so they must be used at the most opportune time. Hopefully, if done properly they can change the tides of a fight in your favor and your team can walk out victorious. If you feel comfortable with these heroic abilities & your team needs it, these abilities can be upgraded as soon you reach level 20.

Cooldown: 100 seconds
Envelops Maiev in shadows evading enemy Basic Attacks for 5 seconds.
"Finally surrendering to the whisper of the shadows, Maiev is surrounded & enveloped by strange shadows that protect her. It is said, these whispers are the ones of her fallen comrades, refusing to leave her side."
Mana: 65
Cooldown: 80 seconds
Assault with shadows a target area, dealing 205.92 (+4% per level) damage. Affected targets see a very short distance for 2 seconds.
"Although, seen as a burden that has plagued her throughout her years, the haunting memories of her past is a constant reminder to remain strong in battle. Maiev conjures her torment & projects it in front of her."
Game-play: Anyone that plays Maiev needs to determine the progress of a match and realize, if your team needs additional damage output or defensive capabilities, especially as you attain level 10. Although, her abilities might seem sub-par at first, her potential is unlocked in the talent section. With this in mind, the early portion of a game should be approached in a conservative fashion. Truly skilled players will know to manage time properly between defending the front line and ambushing the enemy, regardless of the advantage and aid that talents provide.

Shadow Guard is just for Basic Attacks and have 100 seconds CD, I recomend lowering its CD to 60 to 70 seconds.
