Archdruid of the Flame

"Behold the rage of the Firelands!"



Broken by the death of his son, Fandral Staghelm abandoned Elune, and founded the Druids of the Flame. Empowered by Ragnaros, and given the title of Majordomo, Staghelm has followed the Firelord into the Nexus, seeking to bring ruin to a new realm.

Majordomo Staghelm is a transformation based assassin, who needs to consistently be transforming in order to build up Fury, and empower his low damage abilities.

BASELINE STATS:
Lvl 1 health: 1782 (+4% per level)
Lvl 1 attack damage (Human form): 146 (+4% per level)
Lvl 1 attack damage (Cat/Scorpion form): 203 (+4% per level)
Attack Range (Human form): 5.3 (slightly shorter than Greymane).
Attack Range (Cat/Scorpion form): 1.25 (Melee).
Mana: 500

Combat Trait

Fury
When Staghelm damages an enemy hero within 5 seconds of using [Transform] (E ability), he gains a stack of Fury. Each stack of Fury increases the damage done by his Q ability in each form (Night Elf, Cat, Scorpion) by 5 damage, stacking up to 125 Fury.

Balancing Fury will be hard. I would like it to stack indefinately, but I don't see a way to do that without making it too snowbally. Thus, the max is 125 Fury (until level 10), which would add 625 damage to each Q ability. That seems very strong, late game, but not OP.

Primary Abilities

Burning Orbs
FOR ALL STAGHELM'S Q ABILITIES
CD: 10 seconds
MANA: 50


Summon two orbs, at the target location, which target nearby enemies, prioritizing heroes. It has the same range as Probius' Spawn Pylon. Each orb fires once, dealing 60 damage before fading. They cannot target the same enemy.

CAT FORM


When Staghelm is in Cat Form, this ability becomes Leaping Flames. It has the same range as Greymane's Darkflight. Staghelm targets an enemy hero, leaping to them and dealing 90 damage.

SCORPION FORM


When Staghelm is in Scorpion Form, this ability becomes Flame Scythe. It has the same range as Butcher's Brand. Staghelm cleaves an area in front of him, dealing 120 damage split evenly across all enemies hit.


FIREHAWK FORM (HEROIC ABILITY)


When Staghelm is in Firehawk Form, this ability becomes Molten Feather. It has approximately the range of Blaze's Flame Stream. Staghelm sheds feather, increasing his movement speed to 30% for three seconds. Those feathers slowly drift in the target direction, dealing 200 damage to the first enemy hit.

Searing Seeds
CD: 10 seconds
MANA: 75


This ability has the cast range of Arthas' Howling Blast, and activates in an area the size of Alexstraza's Preservation (Dragonform AOE Heal).

Staghelm throws five seeds into an area. They grow over a period of 2-8 seconds, random for each seed, and detonate after that seeds specific time has passed. Each explosion does 83 (+4% per level) damage in a small area.

[Searing Seeds] can be cast in any of Staghelm's forms.

Transform
CD: 20 seconds.
MANA: 50


Transform into Majordomo Staghelm's Night Elf, Cat, or Scorpion form, granting him new abilities and the potential to generate Fury. Mounting automatically returns him to Night Elf form.

Cycle Transformation
Because each of Staghelm's transformations are better at different things (Night Elf=Area Denial, Cat=Dive, Scorpion=Close AOE), he's able to cycle between his transformations, and select which he wants to transform into next.

By default you start in Night Elf form, so the next on the transformation list is Cat. Therefor at the start of the game, [Transform] (E ability) would indicate that your next transformation will be Cat form. Activating [Cycle Transformation] will change that to Scorpion.

The order goes Cat-Scorpion-Night Elf.

Staghelm has 300 stacks of Fury until the next use of his Q ability.

Passive: Increase max Fury to 150.

Firehawk Form
CD: 20 seconds (independent of Transformation)
MANA: 50


Replace Staghelm's mount with Firehawk Form.

Channel for 1 second to enter Firehawk form. While in Firehawk form, Staghelm's move speed is increased by 15%, and he gains access to a new Q ability, which is subject to Fury.

Passive: Increase max Fury to 150.

Talents

LEVEL ONE:

  • Spirit of the Flame: Leaping Flames leaves behind a Spirit of the Flame, which will pursue the target of Leaping Flames for ten seconds or until defeated, dealing 60 (+4% per level)damage every two seconds. If the Spirit times out (ten seconds pass), it gives Staghelm a stack of Fury.
  • Heated Ground: Leaping Flames leaves a pool of fire on the ground where it lands for four seconds, dealing 120 (+4% per level) damage per second to any enemy standing in it.
  • Firecat Leggings: Gain 20 armor while in Cat Form.

LEVEL 4:

  • Armored Carapace: Gain 20 armor while in Scorpion Form.
  • Elongated Stinger: While in Scorpion Form, increase Staghelm's attack range to 2.

TO DO: Talents, Additional Info, Skin Concepts, Quotes, balance changes. Possibly rework/entirely change Druids of the Flame (Heroic 2), so that it has more synergy with the rest of his kit.
