Primary Abilities

1
Carrion Swarm (Q)

Cooldown: 8 seconds.
2
Sleep (W)

Mal'ganis puts the target enemy Hero to sleep for up to 4 seconds. During this time that Hero is stunned but will awaken if attacked or a new damage source is applied to them. Sleep has a 1 second cast time.

Darkflight (E)

Mal'ganis turns into a swarm of bats, flying to the nearby target location. His next Basic Attack within 4 seconds deals 50% bonus damage and gains 25% bonus life steal.

Cooldown: 10 seconds.

Heroic Abilities

1
Infernal (R1)
Costs 12% of Mal'ganis's maximum health.

Calls down a burning fel meteor at the target location after a 1.25 second delay, stunning all enemies caught by it for 0.75 seconds and dealing 360 (+4%/level) damage. After landing, the meteor becomes an Infernal to fight for you for up to 12 seconds. Infernals are huge, strong melee fighters that passively deal damage to all nearby enemies.

Cooldown: 120 seconds.
2
Symphony of the Night (R2)
Costs 2% of Mal'ganis's maximum health per second of channeling.

Mal'ganis channels for up to 5 seconds. For each second that he channels, he gains 15% bonus Basic Attack damage, 3% bonus movement speed, and 10% more life steal from his Basic Attacks. These bonuses last for 18 seconds after channeling ends.

Cooldown: 90 seconds.

Talents

Level 1

Screams of the Damned (Trait, Quest): Every enemy minion that dies near Mal'ganis gives him 0.2 bonus Basic Attack damage, and every Takedown gives him 0.5. After gaining 40 bonus damage, he can activate his trait to increase its life steal bonus by 25% for 3 seconds. 60 second cooldown.

Tempered in Blood (Quest): Every Regen Globe gathered increases Mal'ganis's maximum health by 0.5%, up to 15%. Upon gathering 30 Globes, he gains an extra 15% maximum health.

Legion's Gift (Passive): Reduces the cost of Mal'ganis's abilities by 25%.

Level 4

Sanguine Humors (Trait): Mal'ganis can cast his spells even if he doesn't have enough hit points; doing so leaves him at 1 hit point. When Mal'ganis is below 10% of his maximum health, his Basic Abilities cool down 50% faster. Resulting in a ~33% increase in usage.

Creeping Doom (Q): Carrion Swarm lasts 1 second longer.

Cloak of Darkness (E): Mal'ganis gains stealth for 2 seconds after using Darkflight.

Level 7

Vampire Bats (Q): Carrion Swarm heals you for 25% of the damage it deals to Heroes.

Night Terrors (W): Sleep deals 80 (+4%/level) damage per second to the target. This damage does not interrupt the effect. If the target is awoken, the damage stops.

Darkest Night (E): Darkflight releases illusory trails of bats in all directions, potentially fooling enemies. The effect looks like you teleported in every direction at once. If enemies don't see you after you land, they won't know where you teleported to.

Level 13

Vampiric Aura (Trait): Nearby allied Heroes are healed for 12% of the damage they deal with Basic Attacks.

Ghoulish Strikes (Passive): After using an ability, Mal'ganis's next Basic Attack within 2 seconds makes the target Vulnerable for 1 second, increasing the damage they take by 25%.

Burning Vengeance (Passive): Mal'ganis deals 12 (+4%/level) damage per second to nearby enemies. This damage increases by 2.5% for every 1% of his maximum health he is missing. Breaks even with Burning Rage at 60% health.

Somnophobia (W): The target of Sleep is slowed for 50% during the cast time.

Level 16

Bolstering Swarm (Q): If at least 2 Heroes are hit by Carrion Swarm, Mal'ganis gains Resistant for 3 seconds, reducing damage taken by 25%.

Narcolepsy (W): An untalented Sleep is applied to all enemy minions, mercenaries, and Heroes near the target. This secondary effect only lasts for up to 2 seconds. The radius is very short; about melee range.

Dreadful Prelude (E): Darkflight's augmented Basic Attack has 10% bonus damage and life steal for every enemy Hero flown over.

Level 20

Rain of Chaos (R1): Infernal can be used up to twice again within 3 seconds of the original casting. The second Infernal only lasts for 8 seconds, and the third only lasts for 4 seconds.

Fury of the Nathrezim (R2): Symphony of the Night's movement speed bonus is increased to 6% per second of channeling, and its duration is extended by 0.75 seconds every time Mal'ganis attacks an enemy Hero.

Unquenchable Thirst (Passive): Mal'ganis deals 30% bonus damage with abilities and Basic Attacks when below 50% of his maximum health.

Night Everlasting (Passive): If Mal'ganis is slain, he retreats into a coffin at his current location for 6 seconds. This coffin has hit points equal to Mal'ganis's maximum health. If it survives until the end of the duration, Mal'ganis is reborn with as much health as the coffin had left. Enemies only earn experience for killing Mal'ganis if the coffin is slain. Can only activate once every 180 seconds. The coffin cannot be healed. Its duration is paused if it is put into stasis.
