Malthael is a melee assassin that is particularly suited for finishing off enemy heroes that are near death. Although he is quite fragile himself, Malthael is highly mobile and is able to pursue weak enemies with ease. The closer a hero is to death, the more powerful Malthael becomes.

Damage Malthael deals to enemy heroes is increased by a percentage equal to their missing health, up to 50%.
Primary Abilities

Sever Soul
Deal damage in a short narrow line, pulling the soul of the first enemy hero hit behind you.
The further away an enemy hero is from their Soul, the more they are slowed, from 10% up to 30%.
- Souls remain in place for 4 seconds.
- Enemies can recover their Soul by walking over it.
- Souls have "health" that reflects the health of the hero it was spawned from.
10 second cooldown.

Death Shroud
Unleash a blanket of fog at the target location. Enemy heroes within the fog cannot see outside of the fog. Enemy heroes outside of the fog cannot see into the fog. Lasts 4 seconds.
Enemies within the area of Death Shroud are treated as though they are below 50% health.
12 second cooldown.

Haunt
Teleport to the target location, dealing damage around you when you arrive.
If you hit an enemy hero or a Soul the cooldown of Haunt is reduced by a percentage equal to the target's missing health, to a minimum of 2 seconds.
14 second cooldown.
Heroic Abilities

Death Incarnate
Activate to kill yourself, passing into the afterlife for 6 seconds. While within this form you move 50% faster, deal 50% increased damage, ignore unit collision, and cannot be damaged.
After this effect ends you begin your normal death timer.
Enemy heroes you kill in this form increase the duration of the effect by 3 seconds, reduce your rez time by 20%, and reduce the experience that your death will award the enemy team by 20%.
120 second cooldown.

Sudden Death
After a short delay change the health of enemy heroes in a small area around you to be equal to 25% of their maximum health for 1.5 seconds.
Enemy heroes killed while under the effect of Sudden Death reduce its cooldown by 10 seconds.
100 second cooldown.
TALENTS
Level 1: Chill Of The Grave: Increase the damage your basic attacks deal to enemy heroes by 1% for each time they have died. Siphoning Strikes: Basic attacks against enemy heroes separated from their Soul increase the duration of Souls by 0.25 seconds. Harvest: Enemies killed within the area of Death Shroud reduce its cooldown by 3 seconds.
Level 4: Soul Mates:(Quest) Increase the range of Sever Soul by 4% each time you hit an enemy hero, up to 60%. (Reward) After hitting 15 enemy heroes, Sever Soul will effect every enemy hero it hits. Indiscriminate: Haunt benefits from its cooldown reduction when teleporting to allied heroes. Phantom: The range of Haunt is increased by 10% for each hero that is currently dead.
Level 7: Dragged To Hell: Souls travel 50% further away from the hero they spawned from. Six Feet Under: Enemies cannot leave the area of Death Shroud while Malthael is within its area. Rolling Fog: Death Shroud can be moved once during its duration. Level 10:

Level 13: Unearthly: Increase your movement speed by 15%. While below 25% health you are Unstoppable. Grim Scythe: Activate to cause your next basic attack against an enemy hero to reduce the cooldowns of your basic abilities by a percentage equal to their missing health. 60 second cooldown. Frailty: Enemies seperated from their Soul are rooted for 0.75 seconds when they reach the maximum slow amount.
Level 16: Inevitable: Damage you deal to enemy heroes below 50% health ignores Shields and Armor. Rigor Mortis: Enemies within the area of Death Shroud have their movement and attack speed slowed by 40%. Hollow: Enemy heroes hit by Haunt deal 50% less damage to you for 2 seconds.
Level 20: Horror: The damage bonus of Reaper no longer caps at 50%. Death's Demise: Upon taking fatal damage, enter Death Incarnate for 3 seconds. It's benefits are 50% as effective when used this way. Quietus: Sudden Death silences enemy heroes for 1.5 seconds. On A Pale Horse: Activate to reveal the lowest health enemy hero for 4 seconds. If activated again within the 4 second window, teleport to that hero.
The Sudden Death heroic seems a bit broken with stuff like Graviton surge in team fights. Other than that, I love it.
