[W] Death's Reach - Increased the range bonus slightly to bump its appeal up just a little bit.
[E] Tides of Doom - New talent that reduces Death Shroud's cooldown slightly and grants cooldown reduction for hitting Heroes with Death Shroud. This combos well with Throwing Shade and another new talent, Fading Light.
[Mount] On a Pale Horse - No changes.
[Active] Fear the Reaper - No changes.
Level 4
[Trait] Shallow Grave - New talent that causes Reaper's Mark to deal an additional flat damage amount that is not based on afflicted enemies' maximum health. This will allow Malthael to more heavily pressure or punish low health Assassins who come too close.
Shallow Grave's bonus damage is not affected by modifiers such as armor or spell power and does not benefit from Memento Mori, but does scale with level.
[Basic Attack] The Culling - New talent that adds percentage-based damage to Malthael's basic attacks against enemies afflicted with both Reaper's Mark and movement-affecting crowd control.
[Q] Die Alone - Restored the pre-rework bonus damage to account for basic attacks no longer allowing easy spread of Reaper's Mark, but kept the looser restriction on hitting non-Heroes.
[W] Throwing Shade - Split into a two-part quest and added a baseline travel speed buff. The first part increases the width of Death Shroud, and the second part increases the length of Death Shroud. Both parts of the quest decrease the mana cost of Death Shroud.
Level 7
[Trait/Active] Death's Grip - Renamed from Touch of Death and added an effect that heals Malthael for a portion of the healing prevented after the ability ends.
[Q] Cold Hand - No changes.
[W] Massacre - Added a passive effect that causes every third basic attack within a period of time to cleave.
[E] Fading Light - New talent that causes Death Shroud to blind and slow enemies it hits. The duration of the blind and slow is doubled if the target is already afflicted with Reaper's Mark prior to being hit by Death Shroud.
Level 13
[Trait/Active] Ethereal Existence - Reduced the passive armor gain effect, but it can now be activated to triple its passive effect briefly.
[Q] Soul Siphon - Restored to pre-rework state.
[Active] Shroud of Wisdom - Changed to grant total immunity to damage (
not Invulnerability) for a brief period.
[Passive/Active] Inevitable End - Cooldown increased.
Level 16
[Trait] Memento Mori - Changed to have scaling damage depending on how many times Reaper's Mark has been reapplied to a target by basic attacks or basic abilities.
[Q] Soul Collector - No changes.
[W] Mortality - Swapped with Massacre and added a passive effect that resets the cooldown of Wraith Strike and heals Malthael when an enemy Hero afflicted with Reaper's Mark is killed.
[Active] Deathstroke - New talent that allows Malthael to get some burst damage out of active Reapers Marks at the expense of removing them. To prevent completely circumventing the immediate loss of all active Reaper's Marks, this ability cannot be used during Tormented Souls' duration.
Level 20
[E] Final Curtain - No changes.
[Active] No One Can Stop Death - No changes.
[R1] Reaper of Souls - Changed to increase Tormented Souls radius and duration slightly and added a repeatable quest that rewards killing Heroes afflicted with Reaper's Mark by permanently increasing the duration of Tormented Souls slightly.
[R2] Angel of Death - Added additional cooldown reduction for killing a Hero with Last Rites after completing its quest.
