Mandokir

Bloodlord

A lumbering hard-hitting Bruiser, Mandokir uses long-delay, extremely large area attacks to zone or punish enemies. Mandokir levels differently than other heroes, scaling slower but gaining a larger than normal XP amount, and leveling instantly upon Decapitate kills.

Combat Trait

1
Ding!
Mandokir’s level is unlinked from his team’s. He gains shared experience at an accelerated rate and levels instantly on Decapitate kills. His abilities improve as he levels up, his stats scale slower, and his max level is 60. He still receives his talents when his Team reaches the appropriate levels.

For every 10 levels, Mandokir’s delayed abilities cast .1 second faster, Frenzy lasts .5 seconds longer, and Summon Ohgan’s movement speed is increased by 2%.

Primary Abilities

1
Bloodbath
After a 2 second delay, Mandokir whirls his sword in a very large area around him, doing [high] damage and healing for 2% health per target hit. Healing tripled versus Heroes. 4 second cooldown.
2
Frenzy
Go into a Frenzy for 3 seconds, increasing attacking speed by 30% and lowering the delay of your attacks by .25 seconds. Receiving Heroic damage will refresh Frenzy duration. 20 second cooldown.
3
Decapitate
After a 2 second delay, Mandokir charges forward in a long straight line at high speed. He stops at the first Hero struck, dealing [high] damage and slowing them by 40% for 2 seconds if they are above 50% health.

If they are below 50% health, Decapitate will instantly kill them, granting .25 of a kill’s experience and turning them into a Spirit. The Spirit can move freely and will be resurrected after 5 seconds with the health and mana that they had when they died.

12 second cooldown.

Heroic Abilities

1
Summon Ohgan
Passively increase movement speed by 20% and lower Decapitate cooldown to 6 seconds as you ride your trusty undead raptor Ohgan. On a successful Decapitate kill, temporarily lose these bonuses as Ohgan harasses the Hero’s Spirit. Until Ohgan is killed, that Hero will not be resurrected. Press R to recall Ohgan.
2
Devastating Slam
After a 2.5 second delay, Mandokir cleaves a massive area in a cone in front of him, causing a Decapitate effect on all enemy Heroes hit. (slow and damage if above 50%, insta-kill for 5 seconds if below 50%)

60 second cooldown.

Core Concept

Mandokir is designed to be something of a melee-Chromie; a character with extremely dangerous, telegraphed attacks. He differs from Chromie in that she predicts movement from long ranges to snipe heroes. Mandokir instead shows everyone exactly where he's aiming from the frontline, but in such a wide area that slower heroes may fail to get out of the way at all.

He is also a way for players to 'break away' a bit from their team, and progress based on their own performance. He still gains and gathers exp for his team, but his lower scaling will mean that if he is not scoring Decapitate kills, he will fall behind, and if he is scoring Decapitate kills, he will pull ahead.
