Necromancer

Mehtan is a Necromancer and trained under everyone's favorite protagonist from Diablo 2.  He can be seen on a couple of occasions in Diablo 3, but not much is known of him so I based his abilities off those available to the Necromancer in Diablo 2.  

I tried to capture as much of what we love about the Diablo 2 Necromancer including talents that provide the potential to build a larger and larger army of skeletal followers throughout each game.  Also, he begins the game with the Teeth ability, but at level 16 he has the ability to modify the spell to resemble the Bone Spear, Bone Spirit, or Poison Nova spells from Diablo 2.  

He is a Melee Specialist, and while he can focus on summoning minions that allow him to do mercenaries and push lanes very effectively, he can also be built as a legitimate melee threat, or as a spell oriented mage.  

I've started working with some numbers, but I'm still adjusting them a bit.  Give me any feedback you've got!

Mana- 500 (+10/lvl)
APS- 1.25

DPS- 50 (+13.75/lvl)

Combat Trait

Raise Skeleton (D)
Cooldown: 10s
Mana: 40

Mark a minion and if it dies within the next 5s it will resurrect as a Skeletal Warrior, Skeletal Mage, or Skeletal Archer based on the minion type.  Skeletons will follow you and aid you in combat.  You can have up to 3 Skeletons raised.  

Skeletal Warriors have 25% more health than their minion counterpart.  Skeletal Mages have the same stats as their minion counterparts, but apply a 25% slow with each attack. Skeletal Archers have low health and deal moderate ranged damage.  

Primary Abilities

Create a shield of bone that absorbs 360 (+60/lvl) damage.  Your summoned minions receive a shield equal to 50% of that amount.

Shoot 5 piercing shards of bone in a 90 degree arc that deal 28 (+3/lvl) damage to all enemies they pass through.

Poison Dagger (E)
Cooldown: 10s
Mana: 40

Your next basic attack applies a poison that deals 110 (+29/lvl) damage over 5s. 

Heroic Abilities

Bone Prison (R1)
Cooldown: 60s
Mana: 100

Targeted enemy hero is rooted for 4s by a cage of bone that deals moderate damage per second.  The prison has moderate health and can be destroyed.

Curse (R2)
Cooldown: 30s
Mana: 75

Curse enemy heroes in the targeted area for 3 seconds.  Damage dealt and movement speed are reduced by 30%.   

Tier 1

1. Skeletal Toughness (D)- You may summon 1 additional Skeleton and Skeletal Warriors gain 25% additional health.

2. Crippling Poison (E)- Reduce movement speed of enemy heroes affected by Poison Dagger by 50%.  

3. Bloody Dagger (E)- Every enemy killed while under the effects of Poison Dagger increases basic attack damage by 1.  

4. Conjurer's Pursuit

Tier 2

1. Cheap Teeth (W)- Reduce mana cost of Teeth by 20.  

2. Corpse Explosion (D)- When a minion marked by Raise Skeleton (D) dies it deals moderate damage to nearby enemies.  

3. Harder Bone (Q)- Reduce all non-heroic damage taken by 75% while Bone Armor is active.

4. Throw Dagger (E)- Your next basic attack after triggering Poison Dagger becomes a ranged attack.  

Tier 3

1. Skeletal Accuracy (D)- You may summon 1 additional Skeleton and Skeletal Archers deal 25% more damage.  

2. Mercenary Mastery- 50% of Bone Armors shield is applied to nearby friendly mercenaries.  

3. Reinforce Armor- Sacrifice target skeleton to gain a shield equal to 20% of your maximum health for 4s.  20s Cooldown  

4. Battle Momentum

Tier 5

1. Bone Shards (Q)- When the shield applied by Bone Armor is broken it bursts dealing moderate damage to nearby enemies.  

2. Bone Your Friends! (Q)- Bone Armor can now be applied to allied heroes.  Shield amount is reduced by 50% when used this way.

Tier 6

1. Bone Spirit (W)- Teeth will pass through enemies hit and upon reaching their max range they will converge into a Bone Spirit that will pursue the targeted or nearest enemy hero.  

2. Bone Spear (W)- Replace the center tooth with a piercing Bone Spear that has extended range and deals high damage to enemy heroes hit.  

3. Poison Nova (W)- Replace Teeth with 16 piercing clouds of concentrated poison that extend in a all directions, dealing low damage and moderate damage over 3 seconds to all enemies hit.  

4. Skeletal Brilliance (D)- You may summon 1 additional Skeletonand Skeletal Mages apply the Amplified Damage curse to enemies hit by their basic attack, increasing the damage they take from all sources by 25%.  

Tier 7

1. Mass Incarceration- Enemy heroes within a small radius of a hero caught in Bone Prison will also be caught in a Bone Prison after a .5s delay.  All Bone Prisons still active after 4s will be destroyed.  

2. Decrepify- Cursed enemies also take 25% Additional Damage from all sources.
