Many claim that Mephisto is the most intelligent of the Prime Evils. It is said that Mephisto was most adept at pitting his brothers against each other. Diablo and Baal chafed at his manipulations, but more often than not they complied. Deckard Cain speculated that this was because Mephisto provided them with ample opportunities to pursue their ambitions. Perhaps because of this, Mephisto is seen by some to be a unifier and great tactician.
It was Mephisto's greatest ambition to pit entire societies against each other, to turn brother against brother, to seed discord and distrust wherever he could.Mephisto viewed hatred as a tool, though one to be wielded with precision.
Mephisto is an 'anti-mage' that suppresses the potency of nearby enemy heroes. His role isn't to deal damage as much as it is to sap the ability of enemy spellcasters to deal theirs. Mephisto has a very small health pool and must empower it by designating enemies as his Nemesis. By marking an enemy as his Nemesis Mephisto is able to feed off of their hatred, rendering them harmless to him for a short time.
Think of Mephisto as a 'suppression turret' who attempts to neuter his enemies long enough for his team to take them out.

Loathe
Channel a medium range beam of pure hatred that damages enemies it hits every second. 4 second cooldown after channel is canceled.
Every time Loathe damages an enemy hero it increases the effect of Seething Hatred on that target by an additional 5%. This bonus is lost after 2 seconds of not being refreshed.

Nemesis
Designate the target enemyhero as your Nemesis, marking them and dealing low damage to them every second. While you have a target marked with Nemesis your current and maximum health is increased by 50%. Lasts 10 seconds. 12 second cooldown.
Enemy heroes marked with Nemesis deal 100% less damage to Mephisto. This decays at the rate of 10% per second.

Abhor
Push back all enemies in a small circle around you. They cannot reenter this circle for the duration of Abhor. Lasts 2 seconds. 14 second cooldown.

Durance of Hate
After a short delay imprison an enemy hero at the target location for 3 seconds. 50 second cooldown.
An enemy hero that is imprisoned is in stasis, but also emits a small aura that reduces the ability power of their nearby allies by 50%.

Council Of Zakarum
Summon a circle with three corrupted Zakarum Priests at a target location. Lasts 1 minute or until the Zakarum Priests are killed. 100 second cooldown.
While the Council Of Zakarum is active it functions as a Hall Of Storms for Mephisto. He is able to hearth to and respawn at that location. While within the radius of Council of Zakarum he heals at the same rate of the Hall Of Storms.
Mephisto toggles his hearth/rez location between the Council or the Hall by pressing R while Council Of Zakarum is active.
Talents
Level 1: Conjurer's Pursuit:Collecting Regeneration Globes permanently increase mana regeneration by 0.1 per second. Oppression:Reduce the mana cost of Loathe by 20% for the duration of the channel for each consecutive second Loathe has damaged the same target. Only accounts for the first target hit. Shudder: While within the radius of Abhor you evade basic attacks and its duration is increased by 1 second. Foes In Different Area Codes:Enemies marked with Nemesis are knocked back 50% further by Abhor.
Level 4: Contempt: Seething Hatred reduces the damage of nearby minions and mercenaries by 15%. Vex:Permanently increase the damage of Loathe by 1% when a target it is damaging casts an ability, up to 30%. Consumed By Hatred:Enemies marked with Nemesis project a smaller copy of Seething Hatred while taking damage from Loathe.
Level 7: Common Enemy: Nemesis can be cast on an ally to reduce the damage of abilities used against them by 50%. Lasts 4 seconds. Unrivaled: Reduce the cooldown of Nemesis by 4 seconds if an enemy hero marked with Nemesis is killed. Sadism: Enemy heroes marked with Nemesis take 25% increased damage from Mephisto. Level 10:

Level 13: Insidious:Increase the effect of Seething Hatred on enemies by 0.5% for every second they spend within your vision, to a maximum increase of 5%. This bonus resets if they leave your vision radius. Detest: Reduce the range of Loathe by 25%, but increase the ability power reduction it applies each second to 7.5%. False Hope:While channeling Loathe, increase its range by 10% every time it loses its target for 1 second, up to 50%. Only accounts for the first target hit.
Level 16: Archenemies: Using Loathe on a target marked with Nemesis allows Loathe to chain to one other nearby enemy hero. What's The Plural Of "Nemesis"?: Nemesis gains a charge, but the initial damage reduction is reduced to 70% and the bonus health provided is reduced to 35%. Disdain: Increase the radius of Abhor by 35% and it now moves with Mephisto. Abandon: Abhor grants you 75% increased movement speed for its duration.
Level 20:
Imprisoned Mind: After Durance Of Hate ends the target will continue to project its aura for an additional 3 seconds.
Disciples Of Zakarum: Increase the number of Zakarum Priests by 2 and allies within the radius of Council Of Zakarum are also healed.
Compelling Orb:Activate to increase your mana regeneration by 1000% and cause your ability cooldowns to refresh twice as fast for 5 seconds. 45 second cooldown. Lord Of Hatred: Activate to toggle Seething Hatred. While off its effect increases by 1% every second, up to 25%. This additional bonus lasts for 2 seconds after Seething Hatred is toggled back on.
