Moira

Renegade Geneticist

A gifted geneticist who dabbles in areas of science forbidden by the law in order to push the boundaries of her research. Moira O'Deorain now freed from the restrictions placed on her by Overwatch has entered the Nexus and assumes to test her technology on its inhabitants and no one shall stand in her way. For the sake of her research, any sacrifice is plausible.

Moira is a support who is able to heal her allies as well as bring suffering upon her enemies through the use of her proficiency in genetics and her mastery over its technologies. Moria heals her allies using Biotic Energy instead of mana. Biotic Energy is an important resource for Moria and is obtained through damaging enemy heroes with Biotic Grasp. Knowing when to heal allies and when to harvest for Biotic Energy is the key to mastering Moira.

Combat Trait

[D] - Fade

Trait
Cooldown: 35 seconds


Moria becomes invulnerable, gain 15% movement speed and the ability to traverse through terrain for 3 seconds. When Fade is active, Moria is unable to attack or use any abilities. Moria can end Fade early by reactivating the ability.

Primary Abilities

[Q] - Biotic Grasp

Mana: 40
Cooldown: 9 seconds


Fires a beam that latches on to the first enemy hero hit, dealing 172 (+4% per level) damage over 4 seconds and heals Moria for 3% of her maximum health during the duration. She also gains 11 Biotic Energy per second and can move while channeling this ability. Moving 7 range away from the target will break the beam.

[W] - Bio-regeneration

Cooldown: 3 seconds


Moria tethers herself to the first ally hero hit for 5 seconds and heals them for 10% of their maximum health per Biotic Energy consumed. She can move while channeling but cannot attack. Moving 6 range away from the tethered ally or reactivating the ability will break the link early.

[E] - Biotic Orb

Mana: 60
Cooldown: 30 seconds


Launches an orb towards a targeted location lasts 18 seconds and provides vision. Allied heroes within 6 range are also healed for 16 (+4% per level) health per second and deals 9 (+4% per level) damage per second to enemy heroes within 6 range.

Coalescence

Cooldown: 70 seconds


Moira converts 100% of Biotic Energy collected into a beam which heals allied heroes for 1071 (+4% per lvl) and damages enemy heroes for 70 (+4% per lvl) per second over 6 seconds. Moria is stationary while channeling. The direction of the beam moves according to your mouse cursor.

Commnensal Apoptosis

Cooldown: 70 seconds


Moira induces a self destruct sequence within her cells, resulting in her instant death but healing the nearest allied hero for 100% of their maximum health. The target hero also has their cells augmented, making them invulnerable for 1.5 seconds. Each time Moria uses this ability her death timer is permanently increased by 2 seconds.

Level 1 Talents

Energy Hungry


Regeneration globes grant 15 Biotic Energy per globe.

Osmotic Rejuvenation


Quest: Heal each allied hero with Bio-Regeneration for 2500 health once per hero.
Reward: Increases Bio-Regeneration range by 1 and now heals all allied heroes within 2 range of the targeted hero for 25% of the healing done per second.

Antibody Generator


Quest: Channel Biotic Grasp for 4 seconds 15 times
Reward: Biotic Grasp now splashes to enemy heroes within 1 range of the targeted hero. Damaging additional heroes generate 2 Biotic Energy per hero every second.

Tumoros Regeneration


Healing an allied hero for 5 seconds heals the targeted hero for and additional 12 health per second for 9 seconds.

Level 4 Talents

Malign Growth


Enemy heroes hit by Biotic Grasp have their healing reduced by 60% over the next 2 seconds.

Probiotic Orb


Increases Biotic Orb healing range by 1 and it now grants a shield to allied heroes at 100% health.

Sensory Enhancement


Vision range of Biotic Orb increases by 2 and it now reveals stealth heroes.

1st Line Of Defence


Quest: Heal allied heroes or damage enemy heroes for 2400 seconds.
Reward: Increase the healing of Biotic Orb by 40% and its duration by 2 seconds. Allies below 65% health are also granted 15 armour.

Level 7 Talents

Energy Efficient


Bio-Regeneration heals for an additional 15% of an allied heroes maximum health but decreases the damage of Biotic Grasp by 10% and Moria only heals for 1.5% of her maximum health per second.


Induced Autoimmunity


Biotic Grasp now deals an additional 2.5% of the target's maximum health as damage but Moria no longer heals while channeling.

Relentless Grasp


Increases damage of Biotic Grasp by 10% and channeling it on an enemy hero for 4 seconds deals a bonus 70 (+4% per level) damage to the target but Bio-Regeneration now heals for 10% less.

Give and Take


Increases the healing if Bio-Regeneration by 10% and also increases the damage of Biotic Grasp by 10%. Moria now heals for 5% of her maximum health while channeling Biotic Grasp but Biotic Grasp range is reduced to 3.

Level 13 Talents

2nd Line OF Defence


Quest: Complete 1st Line OF Defence.
Reward: Biotic Orb now grants all allies within its range 10% increased healing from all sources and reduces armour of enemy heroes by 2 every second stacking up to 20.

Emergency Health Boost


Cooldown: 60 seconds


Active: Expends all Biotic Energy to instantly grant an allied hero 400 bonus health until they die.

Lactate Oxidation


Cooldown: 15 seconds


Active: Remove all slows and roots on a targeted ally hero and grant them 15% movement speed for 2 seconds.
Passive: When this ability is not on cooldown, Moria gains and additional 15% movement speed during Fade.

Heightened Senses


Cooldown: 15 Seconds


Active: Remove all silence and blind effects on a targeted ally hero and grant them immunity to the effects for 2 seconds.
Passive: When this ability is on cooldown, Bio-Regenartion cooldown is reduced by 1 second.

Level 16 Talents

Genetic Modification: Invisibility


Fade now grants Moira stealth and she cannot be revealed by any damage for the first 0.5 seconds.

Genetic Modification: Overdose


Increase Fade duration by 1 second.

Genetic Modification: Strength


After Fade ends, Moria gains 5% increase spell power.

Genetic Modification: Tough


During Fade, Moira gains a 300 (+4% per level) point shield and that persists for 5 seconds after Fade ends.

Level 20 Talents

Inexhaustible Energy


Increase the maximum amount of Biotic Energy Moria can store by 5. Coalescence only consumes 50% of Moria's Biotic Energy.

Mutualistic Apoptosis


Commensal Apoptosis no longer increases Moria's death timer and her death timer will no longer increase for the remainder of the match. Moria also gains 400% the number of seconds added to her death timer as bonus maximum health.

3rd Line Of Defence


Quest: Obtain 2nd Line Of Defence
Reward: Biotic Orb now has 2 charges, gain 500 more health its mana cost is reduced by 15. Damage radius of Biotic Orb is also increased by 4.

Genetic Mutation: Terror


Cooldown: 60 seconds


Moira gains 50% cooldown reduction on Fade and her basic abilities. Moira's basic abilities also cost 25% less mana.
