Fist of the Patriarchs

The Monks of Ivgorod are devout followers of the Sahptev faith. They've trained their whole lives, honing both body and mind, in order to fulfill the Will of the Patriarchs; a council of nine who commune with the Thousand and One gods, issuing decrees to the Monks of Ivgorod, on the gods behalf.

Even though this is just one nameless agent of the gods that enters the Nexus, you would be remiss to underestimate this one; for the will of the gods is swift like the wind against the reeds, but as punishing as the waves crashing upon the backs of the foolhardy, drowning them in a sea of blows.

Combination Strikes
The Monk's basic abilities cycle between three tiers and are divided up into three categories.

Q: Spirit Generators

W: Mantras

E: Spirit Spenders

Casting one, progresses all of them to the next tier. After tier 3, the cycle begins anew.

Primary Abilities

Q (Tier 1) - Fists of Thunder
Dash a short distance to your target, dealing damage and generating spirit.

Q (Tier 2) - Way of the Hundred Fists
Execute a series of lightning fast punches in front of you; each blow that lands deals damage and applies a stacking slow. Generates spirit.

Q (Tier 3) - Deadly Reach
Strike with such force that a ranged, piercing shockwave is created. Generates spirit for each target hit.

W (tier 1) - mantra of healing
When activated, heals the monk over the course of its duration. Can only have one Mantra active at a time.

w (tier 2) - mantra of salvation
When activated, reduces the damage the monk takes over its duration. Can only have one Mantra active at a time.

w (tier 3) - mantra of conviction
When activated, increases the damage the monk deals for a few seconds. Can only have one Mantra active at a time.

e (tier 1) - cyclone strike
Pull all enemies in a small radius around you, to your location. Dealing damage upon arrival. Costs Spirit.

e (tier 2) - lashing tail kick
Roundhouses your target with such force that it deals damage and knocks them back a moderate distance. Costs Spirit.

e (tier 3) - dashing strike
Dashes behind your target, dealing damage. Has a long range. Costs Spirit.

Heroic Abilities

Seven-Sided Strike
Dash to a targeted area, going invulnerable and immaterial and executing a series of strikes on random targets within the small radius. Each attack hits with such force, that the blow-back deals moderate damage in a AoE. Has a cooldown.

Exploding Palm
Target begins to bleed and is slowed for the duration. If the target dies before the duration expires, they explode upon death dealing massive damage. Costs Spirit.

Talents

Tier 1

Quickening: Fists of Thunder generates more Spirit.

Hard Target: Activating Mantra of Salvation gives the Monk 1 stack of block. The block is lost upon activating another Mantra.

Meditation: Mantras last longer.

Circular Breathing: Passively generates Spirit.


Tier 2

Fists of Fury: Spirit Generators deal more damage.

Wind Through the Reeds: Mantra of Salvation gives the Monk  bonus move speed. Activating another Mantra loses this effect.

Sustenance: Activating Mantra of Healing gives the Monk lifesteal. This effect is lost upon activating another Mantra.

Way of the Falling Star: Dashing Strike deals bonus damage based on distance traveled.


Tier 3

Hands of Lightning: Adds additional hits to the Way of the Hundred Fists. The slowing component of this skill now also applies a stacking Damage over Time effect.

Sweeping Armada: Lashing Tail Kick knocks the target back even further.

Time of Need: Activating Mantra of Healing while at critical health, drastically increases the amount it heals for.

Eye of the Storm: Cyclone Strike costs less and has a larger radius of effect.


Tier 4

Relentless Assault: Each blow from Way of the Hundred Fists deals damage based on the target's maximum health.

Perseverance: Activating Mantra of Salvation gives the Monk Spell Shield. If the shield is triggered, it goes on an internal cooldown. Spell Shield expires immediately when you lose the Salvation buff.
 
Submission: Mantra of Conviction now slows enemies near the Monk.

Wave of Light: Cyclone Strikes leaves a zone that, after a brief delay, drops a giant spirit bell dealing damage in the area.


Tier 5

Mythic Rhythm: Casting a Spirit Generator makes your next Spirit Spender deal more damage.

Epiphany: Activate this ability to become immune to disables. Additionally, the Monk receives a constant stream of Spirit for the duration of the buff. Long cooldown.

Soothing Breeze: Cyclone Strike heals you for each target hit.

Blood for Blood: Activate to steal 15% of the target's max health and slow it's movement speed by 30% for 3 seconds. 60 second cooldown.


Tier 6

Several-Sided Strike: Increases the amount of hits performed during Seven-Sided Strike and greatly reduces its cooldown.

Essence Burn: Targets hit by Exploding Palm’s deathsplosion are debuffed with Exploding Palm.

Nexus Blades: Basic attacks deal 20% more damage and slow the target for 1 second.

Blink: Activate to teleport to a nearby location. 40 second cooldown.
