Massive Update (5/26/21): Another complete overhaul of his kit, increasing the risk/reward balance of Suicide, restructuring the rest of his kit around unpredictable AoE for sieging and area denial, and adding an emphasis on mana management to add an extra layer of skill on top the new changes.


Story:

Morik was an absolute madman even before Confederate Scientists got their hands on him, but by the time the Kimeran Pirates found him, he was a monster both inside and out. Nanites and neural inhibitors just barely keeping him from the Swarm's control, he soon joined cutthroats upon their escape; his expertise in demolitions, Zerg physiology, and unhinged personality making him their first choice for suicide missions.

Combat Trait

Passive - Demo-Man
Basic attacks splash in a 2.5 unit radius for 25% damage. While Mad Bomber is active, splash damage is increased to 100%.

D - Suicide
Charge at an enemy unit of structure, gaining upto +50% movement speed (+10% every 0.5 seconds). Upon reaching the target, Morik explodes, dealing 800 (+4%) damage to the target, 400 (+4%) to nearby enemies, and instantly killing any minions at the cost of his life. Deals 100% additional damage to Structures, Monsters, and Mercenaries. Suicide cannot be cancelled. Successfully committing suicide reduces your death timer by 10% and an additional 15% if doing so killed a hero or destroyed a structure. Being Stunned, Silenced, or Rooted while charging forces you to detonate immediately for 50% reduced damage, detonating this way does not reduce your death timer. Dying the normal way while charging results in no detonation. Mana Cost: 150. No Cooldown.

Primary Abilities

Q - Bile Bomb
Deals 88 (+4%) damage in a 3 unit radius. Enemies hit take an additional 44 (+4%) damage every second for 3 seconds, this damage is increased by 100% against non-heroes. While Mad Bomber is active, throw 2 additional Bile Bombs at random locations near the target area. Mana Cost: 65. Cooldown: 10 seconds.

W - Indiscriminate Ordinance
Toss 6 grenades in the air that land after 1 second in random locations within a 7 unit radius around you, each one dealing 131 (+4%) damage in a 2.5 unit radius. While Mad Bomber is active, throw 4 additional grenades and your next basic attack while Mad Bomber is active splits to hit 2 nearby targets for 100% damage, including splash. Can be cast while using Suicide. Mana Cost: 50. Cooldown: 8.

E - Mad Bomber
Toggle to enhance your other basic abilities, but double their mana costs. Additionally, your basic attacks deal 25% more damage and an additional 25% damage to non-heroes at the cost of 25 mana per attack. Cooldown: 0.5.

1: Burrow
Level 1 Talent - Burrow beneath the ground after a 1 second delay, becoming Invisible and regenerating 4% of your maximum health and mana every second, but becoming immobile. Lasts until cancelled. You have no collision while burrowed. Cooldown: 20 (Starts once Unburrowed).

2: Metabolic Boost
Level 13 Talent - Activate to increase your movement speed by 30% for 4 seconds. Cooldown: 60. Passive: Suicide gains its full movement speed bonus immediately.

3 - Gamete Mitosis
Level 20 Talent - Activate to refresh all basic ability cooldowns and restore 100 mana. Cooldown: 60. Passive: Gain 100 Maximum Mana

Heroic Abilities

R1 - KILL! KILL! KILL!
Active to gain Mad Bomber’s bonuses at no additional mana cost and increase attack speed by 50% for 10 seconds. Killing an enemy extends this duration by 1 second and Hero Takedowns extend by 10 seconds. Mana Cost: 75. Cooldown: 60. Passive: Successfully detonating with Suicide while KILL! KILL! KILL! is active resets its cooldown. (!)Quest: Killing a hero or destroying a structure with Suicide increases the base duration of KILL! KILL! KILL! by 1 second, upto 10 seconds.

R2 - Infested Hideout
Infest a friendly or destroyed Fort or Keep after a 3 second channeling time, granting it a 2000 (+4%) point shield, this shield rapidly regenerates after 10 seconds of not taking damage, unless it is destroyed. So long as this Shield is active, Morik respawns at this Infested Fort or Keep instead of the Altar. Only one Fort or Keep may be Infested at a time. Mana Cost: 75. Cooldown: 90. Passive: Suicide’s Death Timer Reduction is increased to 20% and an addtional 30% if it kills a hero or destroys a structure.

E: Heave, Ho! - While Mad Bomber is active, your Basic Attack Range is increased by 1.1 and each Hero hit refunds 10 mana.

Massive Update (4/5/18): Modernised Morik's kit to be more in line with the game's current state and make him unique to Junkrat as well as making him more interesting to play. Major changes: Suicide is now his Trait instead of a Heroic Ability. KILL! KILL! KILL! now has slightly different effects, but its role remains the same. Cerberus Mine is now a Heroic Ability and its damage has been increased significantly. Cerberus Mines original place has been filled with Mad Bomber, a mini-Rain of Destruction. Burrow now increases health regeneration, but no longer throws grenades upon unburrowing and its cooldown is doubled. Talents have been completely reworked.

This concept is good but I just hate it when some concepts have a suicide thingy that completely denies the enemy team from earning EXP from a hero takedown. I think it's too imbalanced.

I love this concept as you know I ended up making one of my own but I can't tell if he's a melee hero or Ranged I think he might work best as a melee but that's just me also would like to see more skin ideas like maybe a plant or demonic one :p

This concept shows that some people have the talent to come up with ideas. I really hope this concept gets a lot of views and that you keep working in new concepts.

just wanted to say that I really love this hero and his design. I cant think of any improvements, though. i just really like it.
