Mr.Evil (Complete Concept)

Associate Professor

IMPORTANT INFO: (Seen as this kinda isn't a conventional lore character from WoW but a Fan-Machinima related one; The Bio will be kinda big - seen as people can't just see this guy's name and get what he is all about. Unless you know the works of Oxhorn; in which you are an awesome person and can skip ahead to abilities.)



Bio:

Associate Professor Evil (Aka Mr.Evil or just Evil) was an Instructor at The Evil Alchemist University who wanted nothing more then to do the most evil of deeds in order to accomplish multiple thing. He want's to become a force of evil with incomparable powers which in turn would make him become recognized by the Head-council at University in the hopes of becoming a Dean.

In his journey to this goal, Evil ended up doing a couple of deeds he considered to be evil but which ironically only ended up being helpful more than anything.

When he was concocting a potion that would give him immense powers; a single citizen of Azeroth who kept chasing him from city to city, begging him for money - Caused it to snap for Evil. Crafting his potion, he cast it upon his pet crab Barnaby which in turn went on a rampage, slaying all beggars in the city of Orgrimmar.

Up next; Evil went looking for the Scythe of Elune which was said to harbor unspeakable powers. But in order to get it, he needed to ransack and slay a bunch of Ogres seen as the Scythe was lost - but it was believed that a tribe of Ogres had gotten their hands on it. Searching for the Scythe for multiple hours lead to nothing as Evil could never slay an Ogre himself seen as the place was crawling with people who hunter the Ogres for their gold. Yet once a Night Elf who had been annoying Evil since he arrived obtained the Scythe, Evil was quick to steal it from him and empty it's powers into Barnaby, causing his loyal pet crab to once again go on a rampage, slaying all of the gold farmers in the local region.

After doing these deeds, Evil sought out the Head-council at The Evil Alchemist University - Only for him to be rejected by them. They considered his deeds not evil enough and demoted him to a Graduate student while making his previous pupil; Quintus - the Associate Professor in his place. On his last leg, Evil decided to become Dean by evil force and sought to obtain The Gnarled Claw of Morhaime; which also most likely held immense powers beyond reasonable measures. After gathering up a party to seek out the Claw as this task was no single-person job - Evil and his company ventured on and finally found the creature holding the Claw, but before he could pick it up - a member of his party tok it away from him, effectively binding it to his soul, making it impossible for Evil to use it's powers. This caused it to snap for Evil - sending him into a mad frenzy which apparently awakened some evil powers that has been sleeping inside him for an unknown period of time.

This turned Evil into Lieutenant Colonel Virtue - an alter-ego that Evil used to first execute his party member; only to go on and warn the world of Azeroth that he would "defend" it by slaying those that would do harm or otherwise: annoy. After this event, Evil went back to The Evil Alchemist University and seemingly accepted his lot in life; only to at night adapt his alter-ego and venture out in the world to do his new job: defending the world from all annoying people.

As the Nexus called upon Evil, he looked upon it as a chance to begin a-new. Using his old title as Associate Professor; he stepped up to the challenges of the Nexus - finding new companions, new nuisances that had to be taken care of all the while being able to use his alter-ego to become a force which was not to be reckoned with. Evil was also not the only one to be called too the Nexus; his pet crab Barnaby was summoned as well.

Mr.Evil takes up the role as a Multiclass : Support / Assassin hero. He uses his Trait (D) to swap between his Associate Professor persona and his Lieutenant Colonel Virtue persona. While being Mr.Evil: he can heal and support allies by using potions and concoctions created with his skills learned at the The Evil Alchemist University - While being Lieutenant Colonel Virtue, he dishes out damage and gains some crowd controlling effects.


Baste stats:


- Base Health: 1701 (+4 % per level)
- Health regen: 3.75 (+4 % per level)


- Mana: 500 (+ 4% per level)
- Mana regen: 3.68 (+ 4% per level)


- Movement speed: 100%

Basic attack:


Evil basic attacks at range while supporting, casting small bolts of shadows from his hands. Lieutenant Colonel Virtue attacks at melee range using his spear.

- Base damage: 75 (Ranged) 265 (Melee) (+4 % per level)
- Attack speed: 0.98 (Ranged) 0.70 (Melee)
- Attack range: 5.5 (Ranged) 2 (Melee)

Combat Trait

D - Change of Face
Activate: Alter between being Mr.Evil and Lieutenant Colonel Virtue. Doing this will alter your Trait's passive function as well as altering your abilities.

Mana: 0
Cooldown: 30 Seconds.

Mr.Evil Passive - Repercussion for being a nuisance:

If an allied hero within close proximity of Evil takes damage greater than 10% of their total health in a single hit; Evil will instantly cast two potions - One that restores 5% of the stricken allied hero's total health and one that causes the hostile hero to be de-buffed for 4 seconds. Causing any damage done to the hostile hero too also heal allied heroes for 150% of damage dealt. This passive effect has a 12 second cooldown.

Lieutenant Colonel Virtue Passive - Wages of annoyance:

Whenever a hostile hero uses an ability which damages Lieutenant Colonel Virtue - Said hostile hero gains a stack of nuisance. Each stack of nuisance increases the basic attack and ability damage Lieutenant Colonel Virtue does to the target by 5% per stack. These stacks lasts for 4 seconds, can stack forever and will easily be track-able with a special UI element which allows the hostile hero to keep track of how much he has annoyed Lieutenant Colonel Virtue.

Primary Abilities

Q - Concoction of Health (Mr.Evil)
Toss a flask which will explode upon impacting the selected area. This potions explosion will heal all allies within range for 225 (+ 4% per level).

Mana: 15
Cooldown: 4 seconds.

W - Power Injection kit (Mr.Evil)
Inject the selected allied hero with a power-serum which heals for 150 (+ 4% per level) and causes the allied hero to take 100% increased healing from Concoction of Health for 3 seconds.

Mana: 40
Cooldown: 14 seconds.

E - Potion of pure Evil (Mr.Evil)
Toss a potion forward which will detonate when it rather hits a hostile hero / structure or reaches the end of it's path. When the potion strikes a foes or auto-detonates: it will cause a small knock back followed by all affected targets getting blinded and having their movement speed slowed by 25% for 2 seconds. This potion deals 124 (+ 4% per level) damage to all affected targets.

Mana: 45
Cooldown: 16 Seconds.

Q - Bluefire Bolt (Lieutenant Colonel Virtue)
Launch a bolt of bluefire which travels in a straight line. When the bolt collides with a hostile hero or structure; it detonates. Dealing 298 (+ 4% per level) damage and causing said hero or structure to catch fire, burning for 85 (+ 4% per level) damage over 3 seconds.

Mana: 55
Cooldown: 8 Seconds.

W - Searing Slash (LIEUTENANT COLONEL VIRTUE)
Slice the air in front of you with the spear, dealing damage equal to your basic attack + 75% to all enemies in front of you within 2 range.

By the spears tip (Beyond 2 range) a wave of bluefire is launched, this wave is arched and travels forward, growing as it travels. It begins by covering a 45 degree angle and will grow by 15 degrees each second it travels until it disappears after reaching 90 degrees. This wave deals 102 (+ 4% per level) damage to all hostile units hit. Should anyone with the Bluefire Bolt de-buff be hit by this wave: the wave will pick it up and spread it to all other targets hit after taking the de-buff.

Mana: 80
Cooldown: 12 seconds.

E - Vengeful Strike (Lieutenant Colonel Virtue)
Instantly jump to your selected target and lash out with your spear. This will deal 148 (+ 4% per level) damage and root all enemies within a 180 degree frontal cone of where Lieutenant Colonel Virtue lands. The root lasts for 1 second. The main target of the strike will take double the damage and be knocked down, becoming stunned for 2 seconds.

Mana: 75
Cooldown: 10 Seconds.

Secondary Abilities

1 - Come Barnaby! We have work to do
Barnaby follows Evil around but does not work like a regular pet (like Misha for Rexxar) Yet Barnaby will do Evil's bidding and can be ordered to do deeds.

As Evil: Command Barnaby to assist an Ally (By clicking on the allied hero) or attack a hostile hero (By clicking on the hostile hero)

When assisting a allied hero: Barnaby will blow bubbles at them, healing for 15 health each second for 4 seconds.

When attacking a hostile hero: Barnaby will rush over to them and pinch at their feet, rooting them for 0.5 seconds.

As Lieutenant Colonel Virtue: Command Barnaby to assist an Ally (By clicking on the allied hero) or attack a hostile hero (By clicking on the hostile hero)

When assisting a allied hero: Barnaby will channel a empowering frost beam at them: Giving a 5% boost to basic attack and ability power damage for 4 seconds.

When attacking a hostile hero: Barnaby will fly up and snap at their head with his claw, silencing them for 0.5 seconds.

Mana: 0
Cooldown: 20 Seconds.

Heroic Abilities

R - Froth of mixed poisons
Transform into Evil should you currently be Lieutenant Colonel Virtue (Regardless of the Trait's CD)

Start a 2 second channel which when done: Will cause a rain of poison to pour down within a large selected area. The poison raining down is specially designed and will heal allied heroes for 150 (+ 4% per level) health per second. And deal 75 (+ 4% per level) damage to hostile heroes per second. The rain persists at its spawned location for 6 seconds.

Mana: 90
Cooldown: 100 Seconds.

R - Terror sweep
Transform into Lieutenant Colonel Virtue should you currently be Evil (Regardless of the trait's CD)

Instantly launch a wave of dread from your current position that cover 180 degrees in your chosen direction. The wave will travle for up too 3 seconds and any hostile hero hit will take 122 (+ 4% per level) damage and become feared for 3 seconds. Feared enemies will run in the opposite direction of where the wave came from.

Mana: 85
Cooldown: 90 Seconds.

Special Mount

Z - Frozen Updraft
Lieutenant Colonel Virtue can use his ice magic to create a frozen updraft underneath his feet which allows for him to hover just above ground level while moving at mounted movement speed.

Talents

Level 1




Just a pinch of evil - Quest: Using Concoction of Health to heal up allied heroes affected by Power Injection Kit will empower both abilities.

Reward: 10 Empowered Concoction Heals landed: Concoction of Health gains a 25% increased effective area and Power Injection Kit grants 15% movement speed for 3 seconds.

Reward: 20 Empowered Concoction Heals landed: Concoction of Health gains a second charge and Power Injection Kit has it's cooldown reduced by 2 seconds.




Raise the wages - Quest: Using Searing Slash to successfully spread the Bluefire Bolt de-buff to other heroes will empower both abilities.

Reward: 15 Bluefire de-buffs spread: Reduce the Mana cost on both Bluefire Bolt and Searing Slash by 20.

Reward: 30 Bluefire de-buffs spread: Each time the Bluefire de-buff ticks for damage, be that if it's coming from a direct application or by the spread of Searing Slash - It will reduce the remaining cooldown on Bluefire Bolt and Searing Slash by 0.5 seconds.




The power of pure mana - Quest: Gathering Regeneration globes increases your mana capacity by 5.

Reward: 10 Globes Gathered: Increase your ability power by 10%

Reward: 20 Globes Gathered: Whenever you use an ability, you will cause for nearby allies too regenerate mana equal to 75% of the mana cost of your ability.




Two Faced: Empower your Trait functions.

Changing between Evil and Lieutenant Colonel Virtue now has a 20 second cooldown.

Mr.Evil's Passive - Repercussion for being a nuisance can now trigger each 10 seconds down from 12. It will trigger if an allied hero takes 5% or more of his health down from 10% and will heal for 10% of their health up from 5%. The de-buff landed on the hostile hero lasts for 6 seconds up from 4.

Lieutenant Colonel Virtue's Passive - Wages of annoyance stacks lasts for 6 seconds up from 4. If you take ability damage from the same hero twice within 1 second: said hostile hero will generate double the amount of stacks.


Level 4




Barnaby, kill!

When Lieutenant Colonel Virtue is active: Barnaby passively pulses each 5 seconds for damage equal to 50% of Lieutenant Colonel Virtue's basic attack, damaging nearby hostile heroes.

Using Come Barnaby! We have work to do on an ally will now grant a 10% boost up from 5%.

Using Come Barnaby! We have work to do on a hostile hero will cause the silence to also deal damage equal to Lieutenant Colonel Virtue's basic attack.




Barnaby, assist!

When Evil is active: Barnaby passively pulses each 5 seconds, healing nearby allies heroes for 64 (+ 4% per level) health.

Using Come Barnaby, we have work to do on an allied hero will now also grant them a shield that can absorb up to 192 (+ 4% per level) damage.

Using Come Barnaby, we have work to do on a hostile hero will now root them for 1 second up from 0.5 in addition to applying a 20% slow for 2 seconds when the root ends.




Well rounded Crab.

Come Barnaby, we have work to do has it's cooldown reduced by 10 seconds.

In addition, should Evil / Lieutenant Colonel Virtue die - Barnaby will run to the nearest allied hero and passively cast Come Barnaby, we have work to do himself until Evil / Lieutenant Colonel Virtue spawns again; in which Barnaby returns too his side. While not following Evil / Lieutenant Colonel Virtue, Barnaby will prioritize helping allied heroes rather than going for hostile ones.


Level 7




Speedy Alchemy:

Each hero hit by Potion of Pure Evil will reduce it's cooldown by 1.5 seconds.




Mixing it up:

Potion of Pure Evil no longer knock backs and blinds combined but will rotate on the two effects: enhancing them both. The effective area of Potion of Pure Evil is increased by 35% - The first Potion will do a strong knock back, the second will blind for 4 seconds - And so the Potion will keep on rotating. A own UI element lets you track which type of Potion is the next one.




Swift handling:

Vengeful Strike increases your basic attack speed by 75% for 3 seconds.




Anchor Point:

Within 2.5 seconds of casting Vengeful Strike; you can re-cast it in order to leap back to the initial point from which you leaped from.



Level 10 - Ultimates (R)




R - Froth of mixed poisons.



R - Terror Sweep.

Level 13




Trail of blood:

Concoction of Health will now leave a trial of blood from Evil toward it's impact point as well with a blood puddle on the ground of where it impacts: This blood will heal allies standing inn it for 93 (+ 4% per level) health each second and grant them 15% movement speed. This blood lasts for 3 seconds after the Concoction impacts the ground.




Leethal Serum

Power Injection Kit increases all effects for your next Potion of Pure Evil by 75% and vice-versa.




Removing annoyances:

Bluefire Bolt gains a small impact blast and can damage / apply it's de-buff to multiple target. Bluefire Bolt will now also damage enemy minions in it's path for the same damage an impact would do.




Flaming Spear:

Searing Slash's wave will travel til it surpasses a 180 degree cone and Vengeful Strike gains a 40% increased leap distance.


Level 16




Scythe of Elune:

Activate to make Barnaby move to a point and grow massive for 5 seconds. While big, Barnaby will body block hostile heroes but not allied ones - In addition; Barnaby will channel his bubbles toward Evil during this time, healing all allies within range of Evil. Cooldown: 50 Seconds.




Mighty Potion:

Activate to make Barnaby move to a point and grow massive for 5 seconds. While big, Barnaby will body block hostile heroes but not allied ones - In addition; Barnaby will attack all hostile heroes close to him with a cleave attack, dealing 104 (+ 4% per level) damage each 1 second hostile heroes remain close too him. Each attack also slows hostile heroes movement speed by 15% for 0.5 seconds. Cooldown: 50 Seconds.




The Gnarled Claw of Morhaime:

Activate to spawn 10 small Obrserver Demons which will slowly move out from Evil / Lieutenant Colonel Virtue's current position. Each of these Demon will detonate when hitting allies or hostile heroes. Allied heroes will gain 5 Armor for 3 seconds from an Observer while hostile heroes will lose 5 Armor for 3 seconds from an Observer. A single hero can be hit by multiple Observers. Cooldown: 50 Seconds.


Level 20




Woven Together:

Froth of Mixed Poisons now lasts for 10 seconds and causes Allied heroes to gain 3% movement speed and 2 armor per second they remain within the rain, while hostile heroes lose 3% movement speed and 2 armor per second they remain within the rain.




The wages of annoyances is:

Terror Sweep is cast as a circular halo which emits from Lieutenant Colonel Virtue and grows over time. Once the halo has grown for it's 3 second run, it will return back to Lieutenant Colonel Virtue, this returning halo does not fear but will deal three times the damage it did on it's way out.




Endless Supply:

Concoction of Health resets it's cooldown after hitting an allied hero, yet casting two Concoction of Health within 4 seconds of each other (Exception made for if the ability has two charges) will cause it to start costing three times the mana. This effect stacks until there has not been cast a Concoction for 4 seconds.




You have been warned:

Bluefire Bolt now gains a toggle function where you can swap between making Bluefire Bolt cast 3 Bolts or one huge that has the power of 3 combined.




Unfinished Business:

Should Evil or Lieutenant Colonel Virtue die: They will re-spawn on the spot as their other half for 20 seconds. Should the hero that landed the killing blow to Evil / Lieutenant Colonel Virtue die within these 20 seconds: Evil / Lieutenant Colonel Virtue will return to life at the spot where they died. You can not activate your Trait during these 20 seconds.

This effect has a 120 seconds cooldown.

So his usual appearance is Light Brown / Black / Red and Blue / White / Black.

For alternate version's I'd like ones that reflects the "Healer" and "Damage" aspect. So one that has him more green looking (For healing) and one that has him more red looking (For Damage)

Another cool skin I'd like for him to have is one where he kind of has a Plaguedoctor WoW style look as Evil and then something twisted from that as Lieutenant Colonel Virtue

10/10 because Oxhorn (scratch that, 11/10). But onto the concept itself...

A stance changing healer/assassin is kind of weird because you can't rely on his healing to be present, so he'd be a secondary support at best and a wonky assassin at worst. That being said, I think you did a pretty good job of making both forms unique and useful; each would be good as its own hero. Plus Barnaby's role is both great thematically and offers some interesting abilities.

I don't really have any suggestions for changes though, so I'll just say that it's a solid and interesting concept that I like, with bonus points for the fact that it's an Oxhorn character.

Thanks for the feedback - While I initially did think of how it would be somewhat wonky to have a character in this way: I still just think it would be better than what the current "staple" of a Multiclass Class is - Varian is the only one we got and I consider him to be an EXTREMELY poorly executed multiclass hero, I just feel like Multiclass heroes should expand more about the term "multiclass" and should by those means, have more options and maybe even a higher skill ceiling than most other heroes.

My latest Brigitte concept was a different take on the multiclass hero: As where Mr.Evil here has both options but kind of locks himself down to one he wished to focus on: Brigitte was one I did where you always NEED to do a bit of both roles while having the option to better specialize on one over the other.

It just turns my head how Blizzard still has not released more multiclass heroes and I feel like they should become somewhat similar to rather my Mr Evil here or Brigitte in terms of "Have two options and select one" or "You need to do a bit of both but select your way to heavily focus on one"

But again; Thanks so much for the feedback - it always helps and allows for me to keep more things in mind whenever I jump onto making my next hero concept.
