Background: The mysterious Chimaera of Ashenvale Forest are deadly, territorial beasts who have developed an empathic bond with the Night Elf race. Long in slumber underneath the roots of Nordr***il, Nidhoggur was awakened by the Burning Legion's attack on Nordr***il, the World Tree. Nidhoggur fiercely defended the Hyjal summit alongside the night elves, orcs and humans; banishing the legion from Azeroth. The two-headed wyrm now flies above the darkened forestlands spewing forth its terrible breath weapons upon all who would defy the sanctity of Kalimdor.

**Corrosive Breath

Design Philosophy: Intended to be a bulky siege flyer, the chimera fires lightning and poison breaths depending on its attack target, heroes and mercenaries get hit by a hard hitting lightning breath from one head while minions, catapults and structures are attacked with a poison breath from the other that deals damage over time and destroys the ammo of defensive structures. Nidhoggur's talents allow the player to specialize it to a certain role, be it a tanky ranged attacker, assault mage or a siege engine.

Combat Trait

Twin Headed
Nidhoggur attacks heroes and mercenaries with its lightning breath that deals 100% more damage to shields and summoned units.

Minions and structures are attacked with a corrosive breath that deals an additional 87 (+4%/level) damage over 10 seconds and destroys 1 ammo every 2 seconds for structures for the duration of the ability. Hitting a target multiple times with corrosive breath only refreshes the effect and does not stack.

Devour
Cooldown: 20 seconds

(Requires Devourer Talent)

Eats an enemy non-catapult minion. Digesting it and regaining 10% health and 20 mana over 10 seconds.

Cooldown: 10 seconds

Both heads converge their lightning and poison breaths and after a 1 second delay turns into a beam of fire that deals two pulses of 123 (+4%/level) damage to enemies in a line.

Strength of the Wild
Ability Key: W
Mana Cost: 50
Cooldown: 15 seconds

Draws upon the strength of nearby allies, gaining 3% basic attack range and 5% basic attack damage for every nearby ally (excluding summoned* units) for 8 seconds.

*All Storm Earth and Fire Pandas and Samuro illusions will only count as one instance of bonus range and damage.

Mana Cost: 40 per charge
Cooldown: 10 seconds per charge/2 seconds between charges
Charges: 2

Creates a strong gust of wind that slows enemy units by 20% for 4 seconds. Hitting enemies that are already slowed* will cause them to be knocked back and take 162 (+4%/level) damage.

*the enemy only needs to be slowed even if it was not from the ability.

Regenerates 5% health every second for 12 seconds. When already at full health, a nearby allied hero is healed instead.

Upgrade: Dream Walker

Increases movement speed by 15% and increases duration by 3 seconds.

Bile Bombardment
Ability Key: R
Mana Cost: 100
Cooldown: 20 seconds

Launches a large blob of poison on a target area. Deals 292 (+4%/level) initial damage and applies corrosive breath's effect on enemies hit.

Upgrade: Acid Pool

Leaves behind a pool of poison that slows enemies by 20% and applies corrosive breath's effect on enemies that enter the area.

Flies above ground ignoring unit collision and can pass over obstacles but moves 10% slower.

Talents

Tier 1

Great Devourer [Trait] (Quest) - Activate your trait to devour an enemy minion, digesting it and regaining health and mana over 10 seconds. Reward: after devouring 25 minions, gain 10% increased health and be able to devour enemy* non-boss mercenaries and gain bonuses depending on the devoured mercenary and lasts for 20 seconds or until a new target is devoured.

- Siege Giants: gain 100% increased damage against structures for 5 attacks.
- Knights: gains resistant (25% DR) for 20 seconds.
- Impaler: gain 100% increased basic attack damage against heroes for 5 attacks.
- Hellbat: basic attacks deal 100% splash damage to enemies for 5 attacks.
- Raven: grants a one time cast of seeker missile that deals heavy splash damage.

*will not work on uncaptured mercenaries

Raging Guardian - deal 15% increased damage and take 15% less damage for 4 seconds when a nearby allied structure or an allied hero below 50% health takes damage.

Tier 2

Self-Sustaining Reaction (Q): Removes the cast time on Pyro Pulse.

Frenzy of the Wild (W): Gains 2% attack speed for every ally.

Cyclone (E): Reduces the cooldown by between uses by 0.5 seconds and charge cooldown by 1 second.

Tier 3

Purging Breath [Trait]: Lightning Breath attacks slow the target by 90% for 0.75 seconds and nullifies any block or spell shield effects on a target. Target cannot be affected again within 10 seconds.

Zealous Guardian [W]: Basic attacks reduces the cooldown of Strength of the Wild by 0.5 seconds.

Wind Barrier [E]: Using gale force grants resistant for 2.5 seconds. Reduces damage by 25%.

Tier 5

Wind Boost [Z] - Activate to dash forward in the direction you are facing. 30 second cooldown.

Circle Loop [Z] - performs an aerial loop evading all attacks for 1 second and returns to your previous position. 30 second cooldown.

Solar Beam (Q) - enemies hit are blinded for 4 seconds.

Tier 6

Incineration [Q]: Adds an additional Pulse of damage and each pulse now deals 2% of a target's maximum health.

Intimidation [W]: Slows the attack speed of nearby enemies by 50% and movement speed by 20% for 3 seconds when activating the ability.

Wind Tunnel [E]: Each gust creates a tunnel of wind that increases the movement speed you and allies by 20% for 3 seconds.

Vile Breath [Trait]: Poison breath attacks stun targets for 2 seconds and then slows their attack speed by 50% for 5 seconds. Targets cannot be stunned again for 5 seconds.

Fury of the Chimaera: Lightning attacks now chain to up to 3 additional targets.

Melt: Enemies affected by corrosive breath take an additional 1.5% of their maximum health in damage per second.
