Nobundo

The Farseer

One of the most tragic heroes among the Broken of Outland, Nobundo lost the ability to call upon the Light during the fall of Shattrath City and was deformed by the fel energies released. Shunned by his people, Nobundo took up the calling of the shaman while wandering the wilds of Outland, and introduced it to his people with the blessing of the wise Prophet Velen.

Since then, he has become one of the most powerful shaman, and draws the power of the elements into the Nexus.

Basic Attacks: Ranged
Resource: Maelstrom - see Trait.
Health and Basic Stats: About the same as Medivh.

Maelstrom / Earth Shock
Your resource is replaced by Maelstrom, which has a maximum of 100. It does not automatically regenerate, nor does Globes affect it. Your basic attacks (Lightning Bolts) generate 5 Maelstrom.

Maelstrom: All remaining Maelstrom (20 minimum).

Maelstrom can be activated, as Earth Shock. The damage corresponds to the amount of Maelstrom spent.

Hurl a ball of lava, dealing high damage. If Flame Shock is active on the target, Lava Burst will critically strike, dealing 200% damage.

Duration: 10 seconds
Maelstrom: Cost 5-15

Low initial damage, medium damage over time. Cost depends on remaining duration of existing Flame Shock on target (5 + seconds being active).

Cooldown: 20 seconds
Duration: Instant
Maelstrom: No cost

Knocks back by all enemies within 2 range back 4 range.

Places a totem that spawns an Earth Elemental, which can be ordered to taunt a selected hero. Automatically taunts minions.

Talents

  • Level 1
    • Volcanic Inferno (Q) - Lava Burst critical strikes opens a volcanic fissure under your target, dealing medium damage over 3 seconds to all enemies within 2 range of the target.
    • Elemental Focus (Q) - Your Lava Burst critical strikes increases the damage your next 2 auto attacks by 20%. ! QUEST: Upon landing 25 critical strikes with Lava Burst, the size of Lava Burst is increased by 25%.
    • Seeds of the Elements (D) - Healing Globes causes you to regenerate 5 Maelstrom. ! QUEST: After collecting 25 Healing Globes, your maximum Maelstrom is increased by 50 (to 150).
    • Increased Currents (D) - Each consecutive Basic Attack against the same target, increases the attack speed of the following Basic Attack by 20%, stacking to 100%. ! QUEST: Hitting enemy Heroes with Basic Attacks 50 times increases the Basic Attack Speed by 25%. 100 times also increases the damage by 25%.
  • Level 4
    • Ancestral Swiftness (Q) - Reduces the cooldown of Lava Burst by 1 second, and makes Lava Burst travel 25% faster.
    • Path of Flame (W) - Lava Burst critical strikes causes Flame Shock to spread to a nearby enemy within 2 range of your target. Prioritizes heroes.
    • Thunderstruck (E) - Thunderstorm instantly restores up to 20 Maelstrom. ! QUEST: After knocking back 20 enemy Heroes with Thunderstorm, the bonus is increased to 40 Maelstrom.
  • Level 7 - Each totem lasts 15 seconds, and has a 60 seconds cooldown, unless otherwise is stated. Totems have low health.
    • Searing Totem (1) - Fires at the target last attacked by your auto-attack, if within 4 range. Otherwise, attacks your closest target.
    • Mana Tide Totem (1) - Regenerates 1% total resource every second for all allies within 6 range. Lasts 1
    • Tremor Totem (1) - After 5 seconds, cleanses all allies within 5 range once. Lasts 5 seconds.
    • Grounding Totem (1) - You gain 100% Spell Armor for the next ability that hits you, while the totem is active.
  • Level 10 - Heroic abilities
    • Ascendance (R) - See above.
    • Earth Elemental (R) - See above.
  • Level 13
    • Echo of the Elements (Q) - Lava Burst now has 2 charges.
    • Elemental Fury (Q) - Lava Burst critical strikes now deal 250% damage, rather than 200% damage.
    • Essence of Fire (W) - Increases the damage of Flame Shock by 100%.
    • Lightning Conduit (E) - The range of Thunderstorm is doubled, and causes affected enemies to take 20% extra damage from your auto attacks for 5 seconds.
  • Level 16
    • Lightning Overload (D) - Every third Auto Attack, causes an additional Auto Attack to be launched at the same target.
    • Lava Surge (Q) - Lava Burst critical strikes causes Flame Shock to be extended to its full duration.
    • One with the Fire (W) - The initial cost of Flame Shock is reduced by 5, and increases the maximum duration by 5 seconds.
    • Power of the Storm (E) - The cooldown of Thunderstorm is reduced by 4 seconds for every enemy hero hit.
  • Level 20 - Storm talents
    • Essence of Lava (R - Ascendance) - Lava Burst deals 25% more base damage, and no longer needs Flame Shock to critically strike. This does not require Ascendance to be active in order to take effect.
    • Greater Earth Elemental (R - Earth Elemental) - The Earth Elemtanl frees itself from the bonds of the totem, and stays near you instead. Duration increased to 30 seconds. Health doubled.
    • Ancestral Guidance (2) - All allies within 6 range of you are evenly healed of 50% of your damage done over the next 10 seconds.
    • Eye of the Storm (D) - Auto Attacks generate 200% Maelstrom, and can now critically strike, if Flame Shock is active on the target.

Change Log

Version 0.2 - April 4th
  • Maelstrom / Earth Shock (D)
    • Minimum cost for Earth Shock increased to 20 (down from 10).
    • Basic Attacks now generate 5 Maelstrom (down from 8).
  • Lava Burst (Q)
    • Now generates 15 Maelstrom (up from 12).
  • Flame Shock (W)
    • Now has a cooldown of 2 seconds (up from 0).
    • Maximum duration decreased to 10 seconds (down from 15).
    • Maximum cost decreased to 15 (down from 20).

    • Magma Totem (7). Removed.
    • Tremor Totem (7). New. Cleanses all allies within 5 range once.
    • Grounding Totem (7) New. Gives Nobundo 100% Spell Armor for the next ability that hits him, while the totem is active.
    • Essence of Fire (13). New. Increases the damage of Flame Shock by 100%.
    • Power of the Storm (16). Cooldown reduction of Thunderstorm per hit is reduced to 4 seconds (down from 5).
    • One with the Fire (16). No longer doubles maximum duration, but instead increases it by 5 seconds. As such, the initial cost is free.
    • Essence of Lava (20). Increases the damage by Lava Burst to 25% (up from 10%). Also clarrified that this bonus doesn't require Ascendance to be active.
    • Eye of the Storm (20). No longer affects Lava Burst. No longer increases maximum Maelstrom. Basic Attacks generate 200% Maelstrom (up from 150%), and can now critically strike, if Flame Shock is active on the target.
