Nova

Dominion Ghost

IMPORTANT: This is the concept for a huge rework for Nova I made due to 2.0 releasing tomorrow, which is based on choosing your primary abilities through talents. Nova will choose her trait at lvl 1, her w at lvl 4, her e at lvl 7 and her heroic at lvl 10. Aditionally, picking any heroric changes Novas Q. After that, she will get "normal" talents, giving her passive perks or active abilities, just like any other hero. Her basic kit includes her Sniper rifle, the Snipe ability, standard mounts and stats.

Combat Trait

[D1] Tactical Stealth Suit
Passive: Gain Permanent cloak, just like the current trait.

Active: Activate to become unrevealsble for a very short duration, without losing stealth while attacking. Long cooldown

[D2] Apollo infantry Suit
Passive: Double Mana regeneration and reduce cooldowns of all abilities.

Active: Gain normal stealth for a medium duration. Cooldown twice as long as the duration.

[D3] Turbojet Jumpsuit
Passive: loose the ability to mount, but permanently increase your movementspeed by 30% and slightly increase your health.

Active: Jump a short distance. Ignores terrain but has a long cooldown.

Primary Abilities

[Q] Snipe
Short Cooldown, medium Mana cost

Deal high damage to the first enemy hero hit, basically Snipe as it is currently.

[W1] Plasma Grenade
Medium Cooldown, high Mana cost

Deal Low damage in an are, and turn it into a pool of Plasma, which applies the Plasma debuff (explained in talent section).

[W2] Flashbang Grenade
High Cooldown, medium Mana cost

Stun enemies in an area for a short duration

[E1] Stim Infusion
Very High Cooldown, high Mana cost

Activate to restore healt over time, and increase movement and attackspeed by a minor bit for a medium amount of time.

[E2] Holo Decoy
Medium cooldown and mana cost

Deploy a decoy at a targeted location, basically functions like nova's current decoy, except that it deals small amounts of damage baseline.

[E3] Ionic Force Field
Low cooldown and mana cost

Gain a small shield that can't loose more then 40% of its maximum health in one hit.

Heroic Abilities

[R1] Hellfire Shotgun
Passive: Basic attack range slightly reduced, damage slight increased and deal area damage.

[Q]: Now deals damage to all enemies in a cone, but reduces range.

Active: Preform a Dodge-roll, basically being a short range vault, but with almost no cooldown.

[R2] Monomelecualr Blade
Passive: Basic attack range reduced to meele, but damage is significantly increased and they apply the Plasma debuff.

[Q]: Now functions like a dash that can't pierce terrain/buildings.

Active: Spin around once, dealing medium damage to all enemies in meele range. Has multiple charges, which recharge individually.

[R3] Plasma Rifle
Passive: Basic attacks Apply the Plasma debuff.

[Q]: Projectile moves way slower, but gets wider, pierces all enemies and applies the Plasma debuff to enemies hit and leaves behind Plasma pools on the path it was shot.

Toggle: Increase attackspeed, but reduce attackdamage. Toggling will allow better application of the Plasma debuff but will Reduce dps.

Plasma debuff

The Plasma debuff applies a very low damage dealing dot effect and slows movementspeed of enemies for the duration. If an enemy with the debuff dies while he is affected by it, he leaves behind a pool of Plasma which can apply the debuff to other enemies standing in it. it only last for a short duration, but plasma pools last longer.

Level 13 Talents

- Active: Calldown: Improved Mule
Basically a standard Mule, but last twice as long with a slightly reduced repair rate. Heals more overall, but over a larger amount of time


- Active: Calldown: Ghosts
Call down 2 Ghosts that use weaker snipes on nearby enemies and escort Nova. Enter stealth while out of combat.


- Active: Calldown: Reapers
Call down 3 Reapers, pushing down the nearest lane. Reapers die fast, but deal heavy damage vs non-heroes, especially buildings.


- Active: Calldown: Science Vessel
Call down a Science Vessel, staying close to the area called in. It can reveal cloaked heroes, it deploys weak healing bots, and autoturrets.

Level 16 Talents

-Active: Indocrination Visor
Activate to take control of all minions in a small area. Long cooldown and very high Mana cost

-Passive: Rangefinder Oculus
Inrceases Novas non-meele attack range by a bit and significantly increases her vision range.

-Passive: Ghost Visor
Reveal the position of nearby enemy Heroes, ignoring terrain, without revealing the area or showing which Hero it is.

Level 20 Talents

-[R1] Plasma Sheels
Basic attacks and [Q] Aplly the Plasma debuff.

-[R2] Lunge
Increase the range of [Q] and basic attacks cause Nova to passively dash to enemies, like Zeratuls Shadow Assault.

-Plasma Burn(NOT tied to [R3], can be picked with any ult)
significantly increase the damage of the dot applied by Plasma.

-Active: Blink
Basically Bolt of the strom, but with both a shorter range and cooldown.

Final Notes

I tried to avoid posting numbers as often as possible: this is not supposed to be a traditional "rework", this is a CONCEPT of totally changing Nova, with the main idea of both increasing her skill-cap and Talent variety.
