Dominion Ghost

November "Nova" Terra, the Dominion Ghost, is an aggressive Support Hero from the StarCraft universe. She is a ghost of the Terran Dominion and one of the most powerful psionic soldiers ever known. Nova is highly focused, determined, and extremely deadly. Even Jim Raynor wouldn't want to be caught within her crosshairs.

Nova is an aggressive Support Hero. A versatile saboteur who roams around the battleground, Nova disrupts her enemies by switching between Stealth and Assault Modes and deploying Armory Crates which she uses to restore Health and Mana.

Author's Note:
Nova is due for a rework and I personally think she could be an awesome Support hero with an aggressive and versatile playstyle. I got most of my inspiration from her Nova Covert Ops missions as well as her Co-op Commander kit. I wanted to make her more focused on utility and thus my iteration of her sees a lot of reduced damage all across the board.

I was planning on making her have to use Armory Crates in order to switch between modes, but a lot of people said it made her feel too awkward to visualize and this interrupts her rhythm in fights. On top of that, the previous iteration of Armory Crates and Psi Orbs were just unnecessary overcomplication of her kit and this newer version of my rework concept seeks to streamline that aspect. Thus, Nova's trait allows her to switch modes while her deploy crates are on her secondary abilities key.

Her Stealth mode is centered around helping her allies from the back or flanking with her long-range Pinning Shots and her deployment of Drones. Sabotage Drones can be used to flank the enemy while Defensive Drones can be used to reinforce her frontline. Her Assault mode is more about the into-the-fray type of support. Her blink grants her a modest shield and mobility to dart around the team fight or dive in and she can use her Penetrating Blast to enable her assassins or use her Flashbang Grenade to disrupt her enemies.

I gave her a new ultimate in the form of Turbojet jumpsuit that compliments her Assault mode more. Both of her Heroics are less about damage and more about utility. Her Orbital Strike is basically a renamed Precision Strike that deals less damage, but reveals an area and reduces the armor of enemy heroes to better compliment Wombo-combos. Her Turbojet is to provide an extra beef to help her frontline and deals a modest amount of damage. That, coupled with the modest mobility from Jump, makes the Nova a very good distraction for disrupting her enemies.

I know my idea is far from realistic, with the skeleton crew of the dev and all the new models they need to do if they choose to stick to something like this, but it's really fun to make these things so yeah. Also a disclaimer, I'm not really good at numbers balance so please excuse me if the numbers are OP or UP and as always, thank you for your attention, and any feedback is very much welcomed!

Combat Trait

D - Master Saboteur
Cooldown: 35 seconds
Activate to switch between Stealth and Assault modes, gaining differet bonuses and access to new abilities. Switching modes does not reset Basic Ability cooldowns.

While in Stealth Mode, Nova gains her Ghost Armor, allowing her to become Stealthed after 3 seconds of not taking damage and gaining 15% bonus Movement Speed. Taking or dealing damage as well as casting Abilities removes this effect. Using an Armory Crate in this mode will make her Unrevealable the next time she receives damage and 1 second after that.

While in Assault Mode, Nova loses her Stealth, but will arm herself with a Shotgun, reducing her Basic Attack range to 5.5 and damage by 15%, but allowing them to hit a large area in front of her and increasing her Attack Speed by 10%. using an Armory Crate in this mode grants Nova 20 Armor for 3 seconds after her first Basic Attack in this mode.

Q - Pinning Shot
Stealth Mode
Cooldown: 6 seconds
Mana: 40

Deals 105 damage to all enemies in a straight line after a 1 second delay. Enemies hit are Slowed by 20% for 2 seconds.

W - Sabotage Drone
Stealth Mode
Cooldown: 12 seconds
Mana: 50

Deploy a Sabotage Drone that Nova can move. After 4 seconds, the drone will plant itself on the ground and explode, dealing 210 damage to all enemies and Silencing enemy Heroes for 1 second. Enemies are able to attack and kill the Sabotage Drone before it detonates.

E - Defensive Drone
Stealth Mode
Cooldown: 12 seconds
Mana: 50

Deploy a Defensive Drone in a target area. The drone will grant 110 points shield to allied Heroes that take damage within its radius every 1.5 seconds, stacking up to a maximum of 350 points shield per Hero. Defensive Repair Drone cannot move and lasts for 9 seconds. Enemies are able to attack and kill Defensive Drone.

Q - Penetrating Blast
Assault Mode
Cooldown: 6 seconds
Mana: 40

Deals 90 damage in large cone in front of Nova. Enemies hit have their Armor reduced by 15 for 3 seconds.

W - Flashbang Grenade
Assault Mode
Cooldown: 12 seconds
Mana: 50

Throws a grenade that deals 180 damage and Blinding enemies hit for 2 seconds.

E - Ionic Blink
Assault Mode
Cooldown: 4 seconds
Mana: 30

Nova teleports a short distance and gains a 100 point shield. Nova's Basic Attacks within 5 seconds Slows all enemies hit by 10% for 2 seconds, stacking up to 4 times.

Cooldown between Charges: 4 seconds

Deploy an Armory Crate on the battleground. Armory Crates can be Right-Clicked by Nova in order to restore 10% of her maximum Health and 15% of her maximum Mana over 5 seconds. Armory Crates can only be used once every 20 seconds.

Up to a maximum of 2 Armory Crates may be active at a time. Upon reaching level 10, increase the maximum number of Armory Crates to 3. Enemies and Nova may destroy her Armory Crates by using the Attack key on them.

Talent 7 - Ghost Visor
Cooldown: 40 seconds
Nova gains 30% increased vision radius. Activate to gradually increase Nova's vision radius by 60% over 4 seconds, revealing enemies in a large area for the duration and 2 seconds after that.

Talent 20 - Kill Confirmed
Cooldown: 90 seconds
Activate to immediately gain Stealth and Unrevealable for 0.5 seconds and deploy a Holo Decoy that lasts for 10 seconds. For 3 seconds after that, this ability can be recast to fire 3 shots at a selected Enemy Hero, dealing 5% of their maximum health each to the first Enemy Hero hit. All present Holo Decoys will target the same Enemy Hero and fire 3 shots as well. Takedowns reduce Kill Confirmed's cooldown by 20 seconds and refresh the duration of all Holo Decoys present.

Talent 20 - Wonders of Modern Technology
Cooldown: 15 seconds
Plant down a beacon at a target location. If Nova dies while the beacon is active, she will revive at the beacon after 9 seconds, gaining 50% Movement Speed for 6 seconds. This effect has a 120 second cooldown. Casting Abilities reduces the cooldown of Wonders of Modern Technology by 2 seconds.

Heroic Abilities

R1 - Orbital Strike
Cooldown: 60 seconds
Mana: 100

Nova switches to Stealth Mode and targets anywhere on the map, Revealing an area, and, after a brief 1.5 second delay, calls down an Orbital Strike that deals 380 damage to all enemies hit. Enemy heroes hit are Slowed by 40% and have their Armor reduced by 25 for 2 seconds.

R2 - Turbojet Jumpsuit
Cooldown: 50 seconds
Mana: 90

Nova switches to Assault Mode, gaining 20% increased Movement Speed, increasing her Attack Speed by 20%, and removing the Attack Damage reduction penalty of Assault Mode for 9 seconds. Every 2.5 seconds, this ability can be reactivated to jump over terrain. Nova cannot switch modes while Turbojet Jumpsuit is active.

Level 1

Q - Covert Operative
Gains 50 additional damage on Pinning Shot and Penetrating Blast.
Quest: Each Enemy Heroes hit by Pinning Shot or Penetrating Blast increases their damage by 0.4%

D - Soldier of Fortune
While affected by a Armory Crates's regenerative effects, Nova's Basic Abilities recharge 50% faster.
Quest: Gather 30 Regeneration Globes
Reward: Upon gathering 15 Regeneration Globes, allow Allied Heroes to use Armory Crates, healing them for 210 health and restoring 10% mana over 6 seconds.
Reward: Upon gathering 30 Regeneration Globes, increase the duration of Regeneration Globes on Nova by 100% and while under the effect of Regeneration Globes, Nova's Basic Abilities recharge 50% faster. This effect does not stack with the Ability Haste effect of Armory Crates.

D - Infiltration Specialist
Mounting and dismounting no longer breaks Stealth while in Stealth Mode. Nova gains 100% increased damage from all sources against Minions, Monsters, and Mercenaries while in Assault mode.

Level 4

Q - Magrail Munnitions
Each enemy Heroes hit by Pinning Shot returns 6 Mana. Each enemy Heroes hit by Penetrating Blast returns 3 Mana

W - Concussive Shells
Enemy Heroes hit by Sabotage Drone have their Basic Abilities recharge 50% slower. Enemy Heroes hit by Flashbang Grenade are also Disoriented for 2 seconds.

W/E - Illusive Assault
Reduce the Mana cost of Ionic Blink by 10 and Basic Attacking enemy Heroes after using Ionic Blink resets the cooldown of Flashbang Grenade

Level 7

W/E - Advanced Cloaking Module
Sabotage Drone and Defensive Drone gains Stealth when deployed and 2 seconds after not taking damage. Receiving or dealing damage removes this effect.

E - Operational Efficiency
Gain an additional charge of Defensive Drone and Ionic Blink

Active - Ghost Visor
Cooldown: 40 seconds
Nova gains 30% increased vision radius. Activate to gradually increase Nova's vision radius by 60% over 4 seconds, revealing enemies in a large area for the duration and 2 seconds after that.

Level 10

Level 13

Q - Triple Tap
Pinning Shot and Penetrating Blast fires 3 shots over 0.5 seconds. Hitting at least 2 Enemy Heroes with all 3 shots sets the cooldown of Pinning Shot and Penetrating Blast to 2 seconds. Pinning Shot's Slow and Penetrating Blast's Armor Reduction will stack with itself when used this way.

W - Stun Grenade
Enemy Heroes hit by Sabotage Drone have their Spell Power reduced by 60% for 2 seconds after the Silence wears off. Enemy Heroes hit by Flashbang Grenade are Stunned for 0.75 seconds.

E - Biomechanical Nanites
Defensive Drone gains 40 Spell Armor. Allied Heroes affected by Defensive Drone's shield gain 40 Spell Armor and have their Basic Attacks heal them for 2% of their maximum Health for as long as the shield lasts. Teleporting with Ionic Blink grants nearby Allied Heroes 20 Physical Armor for 2 seconds and Nova's next 4 Basic Attacks heals her for 100% of the damage dealt.

Level 16

E - Covert Triage
Allied Heroes affected by Defensive Drone gains 20% increased healing and are Stealthed for 8 seconds. Taking or dealing damage removes this effect.

E - Ghost of a Chance
Ionic Blink leaves behind a Holo Decoy that lasts for 10 seconds. Holo Decoy mimics Nova's Basic Attacks and non-Heroic Abilities and deals 30% of her damage. Attacking an Enemy Hero will cause the Holo Decoy to fixate on that Enemy Hero.

AA - One in the Chamber
Casting Basic Abilities while in Stealth mode grants Nova's next Basic Attack 150% increased damage and reduces the Physical Armor of Enemy Heroes by 25 for 1.5 seconds.

AA - Infernal Rounds
Basic Attacks in Assault mode hit in a larger area and deals an additional 80 damage per second against close enemies for 4 seconds. Additionally, Basic Attacks in this mode Slows enemies by 5%, stacking up to 25%.

Level 20

R1 - Scorched Earth
Reduce the cooldown of Orbital Strike by 30 seconds. Orbital Strike will now reactivate at the same location after 1 second. Enemy Heroes hit by Orbital Strike have their Armor reduced by 50 for 3 seconds.

R2 - Apollo Reactor
While Turbojet Jumpsuit is active, Nova gains 30 Armor and is healed for 50% of all damage she deals. Basic Attacks increases the duration of Turbojet Jumpsuit by 0.5 seconds and Basic Abilities increases its duration by 1 second.

D - Stance Dance
Reduce the Cooldown of Master Saboteur by 25 seconds. Switching between Stealth and Assault modes replenishes 60% of Nova's missing Mana and resets all of Nova's Basic Ability cooldowns. Additionally, deploying Armory Crates deals 300 damage to enemies in its impact.

Active - Kill Confirmed
Cooldown: 90 seconds
Activate to immediately gain Stealth and Unrevealable for 0.5 seconds and deploy a Holo Decoy that lasts for 10 seconds. For 3 seconds after that, this ability can be recast to fire 3 shots at a selected Enemy Hero, dealing 5% of their maximum health each to the first Enemy Hero hit.
